My daughter has been searching high and low for her dream car, a 2016 Honda Accord Coupe. Absolutely incredible customer service. James was very communicative every step of the way, putting my mind at rest. He showed me what he was doing on my car and explained in detail what the process was. I learned a lot about my car. I have a mini countryman 2013 and after it broke down for the second time this time I took it to EM POWER. And so happy i took it there. I was told when it first broke down I would need to replace my head gasket. They kinda just shut you out avoid your calls and make you do the foot work if you never received your tags in the mail and after being charged $450 as an estimated fee for the tags and registration kinda hurts that they said oh they may have sent a check to me with my tags so I never got that either instead of getting up and checking his files and issuing me another check right then and there I now have to wait in the hot sun outside of the dmv to get a receipt of how much they charged him for the tags and registration... and also have them issue me new tags... I mean yea my car still runs but this guy was sketch since the first time I test drove with him... He thought I was stupid. this is a real REVIEW MUST READ. So they have a blue Honda Accord 2010 @ 9K . I arrived with 2k for down payment + $350 for INSURANCE . ( but it wasn't good enough for the lender) they wanted 3k as DownPayment---why ? However upon detail inspection-- the car was leaking power steering fluid from all 4 main valves. I even helped asses the cars's flaws and showed the manager and took a screw driver to try and fix the car I wanted to buy. And Upon even further inspection IT has broken transmission motor mount. And lower arm assembly is not installed correctly. steering wheel makes noises when turnin. SMH....they wanted me to give them 3k as down payment on a car that was leaking oil and power steering? WOW and on the ground there was oil left after it was turned and in idle For 5 minutes. The engine is dirty where the leaks are coming from---glops of grease and dirt are sitting at the bottom of the engine undercarriage. There is oil collected in the lower motor mounts and rack and pinion and other electric parts , that should be dry--I have videos of it. MY ADVICE TO BUYERS. Take your business somewhere else. this place doesn't do a good job at fixing the cars before selling them. And they pay the mechanics do do their job. LOL. ALSO. The pictures on their site are photoshopped to delete the dents. In real life it has several dents. And a big one on the left side. See pictures... NOT worth $9k. more like $7,500. It's really hard to find a good honest and trustworthy mechanic these days. Especially when you own a European car like a BMW. You don't know if you are going to get the run around or just give up on your car when you hear the outrageous quotes excuses. James also guarantees his work. He has been helping me take care of one of my classic BMWs, which is a 1995 BMW e31 840Ci. These cars are hard to work on and need the attention. Thank goodness I found these guys. They also do a bunch of classic cars here as well that are being prepared for show, private owners, along with high end auctions, so you know they do a great job. Fortunately I found James here at Empower, not only he is a good honest and trustworthy mechanic, he is just like that as an all around person. We stopped in tonight to look at a used car we saw online, and found the lot to be small and poorly lit, and the cars somewhat jammed in. Also noticed that they were all pretty dusty, as though they hadn't been through and cleaned them up in quite some time. The salesman approached us and let us go for a test drive, but when my friend opened the hood he rushed over and almost seemed to want to distract him; at least that was my friend's impression and mine. I called the dealer regarding 2015 Ford Transit Connect. When I asked if he could do better on the price, he started to look at other cars on the market to compare his price. After his quick research, he felt he offered a good price. Because I wasn't there in person, he didn't want to waste his time with me because his past has always shown to be a waste of time based on what he experienced with others. He said he wouldn't discount the car a penny. I told him that I've purchased cars sight unseen before, have purchased over 75 cars in the past. Last car purchased was less than 30 days ago. He was very rude and felt couldn't go any further with him. Two days later, purchased a newer model, 2017, for $200 more with fewer miles and more manufacturer options from a professional dealership, sight unseen. Last year I bought a preowned 2003 530 at a Pre-Owned Dealer in Pasadena. In negotiating, after having the car inspected at the shop I took by previous BMW, the dealer agreed to do my brakes as part of the deal. He sent me to Andy and Empower. You can tell they love the brand and keeping YOUR BMW in top shape is like a joyful hobby to them. I own a 5 series and a 3 series BMW and take them both to Empower for ALL of my servicing and repairs. They seem to know everything there is to know about each and every model and year of "Bimmer" and they instill that very valuable "trust" in me, knowing that they won't sell you a part or do a repair that you don't actually need; in other words, they want to save you money too! In the past couple of months I've had both of my cars repaired and serviced by Empower and drive them in complete confidence that they are in "tip top" shape after my Empower visit. To demonstrate how honest they are and that they're looking out for YOU, James even texted me photos of the leaking radiator I would go ahead and have them replace just to show me I really needed to be aware of it and he even said if I was careful and didn't run my A/C I could probably squeeze some more time out of it though I did opt to have a new one put in.
