I went to them for help with a 17 year old General International table saw; found arbor shaft bearings failed, shaft key way damaged. No replacement parts available; Gen Intnl out of business. No other source found. Bob suggested try to repair damage, searched for source for weld build-up and source for remachining; pesistence paid off and he coordinated successful repair. The rudest manager that I have ever met. Had a chop saw repaired. They repaired it, but when I went to use it I noticed my 80 tooth 12" blade was dull. Then I noticed that they chopped into the fence which was not their before I brought it in which accounted for dull blade. I asked them to replace blade. The manager said the repair was out of warranty and he wouldn't replace the blade which had nothing to do with their repair. They damaged it my saw by chopping with it. The repair was good, but they wouldn't own up to damaging my say. Needless to say, I will never shop there again, because of how unprofessional the manager was. Ron T. read more

Called up bob because I had bought a used strip nailer and it wasn't sinking nails, I brought the gun in , bob tested it for 2 seconds automatically knew something was wrong with it. I left it for 3 hours and bob fixed that puppy up like new. I explained to him how I needed it by Monday, he took care of me and was very helpful in the process. I dropped off my Dewalt scroll saw and left instructions - clean, calibrate, adjust, check motor bushings and install any missing parts. I also asked that I be informed of the cost before the work was completed. Four weeks later, hearing nothing, I called. I was told that a part needed to be ordered, hence the delay. Ten days later, I received a call saying the saw was ready for pick up. Not receiving a prior quotation (which the receipt clearly stated), I asked the price and was told $60, which seemed reasonable. I picked up the saw and on my return, after inspecting, the only thing they did was attach a new air hose. The entire hold-down assembly was missing. I called and asked why. Jeff told me the tech forgot it. I ordered the part over the phone and since I live 20 miles from the Depot, I asked that it be mailed. Another 2 weeks, I received the part and was charged for shipping. I called Jeff and asked why I was being charged shipping for a Tool Depot mistake. After a short back and forth, I hear a click. He hung up on me. The company did not follow my instructions, took nearly 2 months to get it back, and I still have an a tool that can't be used. But the rudeness of Jeff was appalling. read more

Great place. They always have what I need and are always helpful. I know how to do a hell of a lot of things, as many contractors do, but I don't know everything. Well, these guys seem to know what everybody uses for whatever they do so just ask what tools are commonly used and they'll help you out. I came in for advice on a Marble counter top repair. I already had the chip filled in but wasn't sure what I could use to grind it down. I know what the pros use but I'm not buying a full set of tools for this trade when I'm only doing a handyman repair on it. My garage is already full of tools... I just can't get into another trade. I'm sick of doing that. Every time I do a repair on something new I feel like I need to tool up again. Screw that. Not this time. Besides I have about every power tool I can think of - except of course variable speed grinder/polisher with diamond pads. No thanks. I walked in about lunch time and the guy at the service department asked if he can help me. He sets his "In-N-Out" burger down and walks me around the store showing me what the Marble guys use as apposed to what I can likely get away with on my small repair. I thought that was damn cool of him. "Sets his In-N-Out burger down"- In case you didn't catch that at first mention. Hey, that's service. Right? I'm damn well pleased. I got out of there with the help I needed plus a new replacement cord for my old Makita drill that I've had for about 29 years. Seriously, 29 years. Replaced the cord about 4 times over the years and twice bought it from Tool Depot saving from $5 to $15 over the store with the orange shelves. You know what store I'm talking about. Here's a tip for you DIY'ers - Tools and equipment are often cheaper from this place than the orange shelf store. Plus you'll get the real help you're looking for and not the employee guesses from the inexperienced team orange. read more

Very satisfied. Very nice owner. I have a Bosch 1617 router that although I bought it 4 years ago I had never used it. When I finally tried to use it, it wouldn't turn on. I spoke to tech support (NOT Customer service) at Bosch and he said I should bring it here and he would do me a favor and waive the fact that its one year warranty was VERY expired, since it had never been used. The people here were great. They asked me if I was in a hurry and I said no and so they took it apart to look at it while I was waiting. I have NEVER had that type of service on a power tool anywhere ever!. They found the issue (A misaligned commutator brush) fixed it and gave it back to me in under 30 minutes. It works perfectly now and I will most definitely go back there to buy tools and supplies as I trust they will give me good information. read more

If you have a pneumatic tool that needs fixing this is the place. I have a few vintage Senco tools and Tool Depot keeps them working. If parts are available, turnaround is quick. I went to the new Tool depot and the customer service is still poor. The employees ignore you when you walk in. The other irritating thing is that a lot of the stuff is not marked so you have to ask them. I still refuse to deal with them unless I have too. Retailers need to realize there many options for people to buy from. If I receive poor service I will simply go somewhere else. Called to see if they had a switch for a table saw. Thought they'd have to order it but Bob said " I think I have it but send me a photo just in case". I emailed him photos and he confirmed that he had the switch. Went down to pick it up that day. Bob is very knowledgeable and helpful. Experience couldn't have been better. read more
