I have been helped by some MISERABLE/RUDE workers and I have had some AMAZING/FRIENDLY workers. My most recent trip was very pleasant but I've been helped by the same person in the past and they were super grumpy. Who knows... they could have had assh*le customers that day, which put them in a bad mood. Time of day and time of year affect the experience at the post office as well. Coming midweek in the morning during August is completely different than the week before Christmas. The building itself is kind of dumpy. There is an area along the side which sells some boxes and tape, which is underutilized and looks "blah". Overall, I don't long to come to the post office but when I do, I try to make it short and sweet.

Another branch was the only branch to have it. I've enjoyed visiting various branches and since getting my library card. This library is really nice! Spacious and clean. There's ample seating with pods, open tables, private meeting/study rooms, and a lovely balcony area with more seating. There's an elevator as well- accessible. My initial visit was during the holidays so there was lots of decor. Librarians/Library staff were friendly and helpful. When I'm in the area, I'll definitely return!

You first sign in then you are directed to the forms to fill out what you need. Then you have to get in a line to leave the form you filled out with a clerk. Then depending what you need the clerk will give you a number and here is where the waiting begins. There is 4 sets of numbers that are called so pay attention when your number is called. Once you are called it will tell you what window you need to appear to be helped. That's where you pay and they direct you to another window to pick up the document you need. I went through the website, and figured out my forms ahead of time, filled them out and printed them. I had some questions and emailed them ahead of time, they answered within two business days. Very good service. The place is located in the palm center. A rather old,strip, but a big parking lot. A refurb wouldn't hurt anyone. The tax assessors office is small corner adjacent to the courthouse. Make sure you go in the right door, and wait in the appropriate spot, or they will get at you. Already seated in the waiting room. I walked up to the desk, provided my paperwork, and she was very happy that I had already had it filled out and was ready to go. Gave me a ticket and even though I had just walked in, I was called up to a desk within 2 minutes and was done in 5 minutes. Keep in mind I came 20 minutes early and they still saw me early and I was out before my original time had passed. Excellent service! Do as much as you can to get the things done ahead of time, and you will not have to wait, and it will be a much easier and more pleasant experience for you.

I had to get permission to go in to work late so I could have it not be delinquent. I can't stand more than a few minutes without intense burning and pain during bad flares, and I'm in a horrible one now since my trunk fell on me and I had already gotten shoulder injections a few weeks prior. My back problems have been present for over 20 years, and I have fibro, AS, and autoimmune issues as well. Anyway, I usually go to the one on Chimney Rock, but that one can take a really long time. If I was off I wouldn't mind so much. The reviews for Griggs as well as calling and speaking with a very nice woman pointed me in the direction of this location. I planned on getting here at 7:30, but rain and life had me moving slow. I arrived in the parking lot after 8:20 and was out by 9:07. That's with me shuffling around my bags because of the rain and trying to protect my paperwork before actually going in. I was even able to get 2 placards, which I was about to ask for as mine looked like who did it and what for after 4 years of actual use. Faded to nothing and taped together in 2 places. I just turned 42 and work full time in addition to having nieces and nephews. My placard is always moving, and I drive my brother's vehicles since I can't easily move the car seats with my musculoskeletal and pain issues. The actual time from waiting in my seat to the desk and out the door was maybe 10-15 minutes. The only suggestion I have is the sign in sheet for the handicapped like the Chimney Rock location has so we don't have to stand in line and wait to check in at the desk for a number. Thankfully the line was short and I spoke with a lovely woman while waiting. However I had brought extra items for the wait(as I've had to wait hours in the past), my chair pillow, umbrella, iPad, and my bag was heavier than usual. Standing was extremely painful. It's not the same as standing with nothing in hand. There were chairs against the wall, but I did not want to risk losing my place in line. Outside of that it was a great experience. I'll be coming to this location for my needs from now on even though it's a bit further from home.

Known as Belt 8, which is funny because I have about 8 just below my belt. Maybe it's named after me. I do live in Houston after all. And so would you, if you got to date the girl I get to date. I've given a lot of good roads a 4 star rating, and I'm going to give this one the "Sam." If the tolls were cheaper, or didn't slow me down as much, or non existent, it'd be a 5 star road - easily. The Sam Houston Tollway is a great road on so many levels. It should probably have more than two lanes for when it gets backed up, but most of the time it's nice and free-flowing because it is a toll road. It's great to have a toll road skirting the whole city because it means you can get around the suburbs very quickly - way better than you ever could before it was built. It was so damn necessary. On the other hand. The tolls are a little bit steep. So poor people are not going to want to pay for this road, but people who make a lot of money can easily afford it. I don't like that very much. Still, it's very well built and it successfully got us out of Bellaire on the night when the Hurricane Harvey was coming. We should have been trapped, and we weren't. Yay Belt 8.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with this post office, and the lack of accountability is…read moreunacceptable. My package tracking initially showed "delivered," then later that same day it was updated to say it was physically picked up. We never received it, so we immediately contacted customer care. At that time, we were told the package didn't have an address and would be returned to the sender. After speaking with the sender, they confirmed the address was clearly on the package. We called USPS again and were then told the package had been redelivered. Again--we never received it. We opened a case, and both the district office and the local post office manager contacted us saying they were "looking into it." When the manager followed up, she first claimed the package was delivered to our porch. When we told her it was not, she then changed her statement and said it was delivered to the mailbox--which is also incorrect. Instead of resolving the issue, we were told to file a claim because the mail carrier insists it was delivered. Meanwhile, we are still without our package and continue to get the runaround. To make matters worse, customer service later told us the case had been marked as "resolved" by the post office--even though nothing has been resolved. We had to open yet another claim with customer affairs. This entire experience has been disorganized, inconsistent, and incredibly disappointing. There seems to be no real effort to investigate or take responsibility. I would not trust this location with anything important.
