While I waited for my food, not very long, I got a chance to watch the short order cook work the griddle, and what turned out to be one of the owners work four pans on the cooktop making eggs. There's a certain raw beauty to watching a short order cook on a griddle. It was clear watching people come and go, that most are locals. Over half the customers I saw come in greeted by name and their drink order put on the table without them, even having to say anything. Clearly, this place has an amazing following and the owner confirmed it's out the front door on weekends. What an awesome way to start my morning in Coos Bay.
