We hit the road along Hwy 101, exploring some of our favorite spots from Coos Bay to Brookings. Our first pick was SHARK BITE and we all had wonderful food and this was our lunch. Every meal was an adventure, and we had so much fun comparing dishes, discovering new favorites, laughing until our sides hurt, and enjoying that beautiful coastal scenery along the way. We even made our own little Coastal Restaurant Run theme, complete with painted rocks and a restaurant passport. Each stop became part of the memories. The best part? It wasn't really about finding the best restaurant. It was about slowing down, eating way too much, sharing stories, and enjoying four days together. Good friends. Good food. Good times. This little slice of heaven was one of the best places we have eaten at in a long time. I was instantly feeling a modern Fried Green Tomato Whistle Stop Cafe vibe! Family owned and operated. This place is a must if you are in Coos Bay!!! Portion sizes , prices were perfect, and food was cooked & presented like you were in a high end restaurant. Hunter and the staff at Heavenly Italian Sub & Soda were able to help us out/coordinate within a matter of a couple days, truly exceptional service! The lasagna was delicious and cooked incredibly well with the instructions provided (they offered to cook it for us, but we took it to go for later/post-ceremony in the later evening, so we opted to heat it ourselves). For our small party, about fourteen people, it worked out splendidly and was a terrific first meal together as a married couple. :) We also had added on salad and bread, which was delicious as well.
