    Exterior, Sunday 5 November 2023.

Coming to the Ezell's Famous Chicken location on Highway 99 in Edmonds today, Sunday 5 November 2023, I got dinner for myself and my parents, placing my order in-restaurant and getting my items to go. For myself, I got a chicken tender combo, which came with a dinner roll and my choice of side (I went with slow baked BBQ beans) and my choice of sauce (I went with the homemade bleu cheese). For my parents, I got the 4 piece combo, which came with dinner rolls and my choice of two sides (I went with the mashed potatoes and gravy and the creamy slaw). The worker taking/giving the order was warm and calm in demeanor. The interior of the restaurant was clean and homey in ambiance. Parking was a shared lot and surprisingly busy for my time of visit (about 4:15 p.m.). Navigating in and out from Highway 99 was straightforward and the signage was easy to spot from the road. My meal was delicious and my parents said theirs was as well. The meat of the chicken tenders was tender and easily pulled apart as I bit into it. Breading encasing the meat was crisp and flavorful. The slow baked BBQ beans were on the sweeter side and I found the sweetness continued to intensify as I ate them. For the sauce, it contained a fair amount of chunks of bleu cheese and had a good tang/zing to it. The dinner roll was light and fluffy with a refreshing milder sweetness. Everything paired well and was a filling meal.

A place to get some fresh and delicious fried chicken fast. Staff is friendly, food is nice, restaurant is clean. I had to have the chicken right away in the car when my boyfriend went to Taco Bell to pick up his food because I didn't want to miss the crispiness of the fried chicken skin (that's the best part and I don't want to be friends with anyone who doesn't eat that skin), it would be a crime if I waited until home. I like the chicken here are always juicy, even for the most boring chicken breast, i ate half of the skin on the way home and dipped the rest plain chicken breast with siracha sauce. I was lucky enough to have a fresh roll that day too, it was soft and slightly sweet! Overall, it was a perfect comfort food for a raining Saturday!

I lOVE THIS EZELLS!!!! The food is spot on every time. My favorite is getting the spicy drums and thighs set, it's not really that hot but in this case I think spices just means more flavor. It's amazing. The chicken is extremely soft and falls off the bone, after you eat the crispy skin of course. Honestly best fried chicken I've ever had. The rolls are freshly baked, and the mac and cheese and potato salad sides are phenomenal. I'll keep coming here always The service is extremely fast and always super friendly. Shoutout Beth, she's the fastest and kindest employee there. It's perfect for grabbing a quick lunch or sitting with friends in the booth style seating. It's super casual so anything in that realm would be great for this. Highly recommend! Fav fast but homemade tasting food

This place is great. The chicken is so crispy but also tender on the inside. Food was very fresh. I feel like Ezell's famous chicken has a very distinctive taste for fried chicken. Which I enjoyed.

I noticed this new Ezell's Famous Chicken in Edmonds because of my visits to Woods Coffee two doors down. Despite my fondness of Heaven Sent over Ezell's, I decided to check it out (6/28/20). Last visit was for my niece's birthday request at the Lynnwood site, plus she favors these rolls. I still recall eating in my car at the original Ezell's on 23rd in Seattle ages ago. Enthusiastic and pleasant counter crew at this Edmonds location. Order was filled relatively fast. Once unpacked at home, huge pieces were arranged on a platter with the four rolls on another saucer. Chicken thigh and drumstick were crispy and still warm. Taste is subjective, for me there was too much breading. However, the chicken itself was moist and juicy. Needed more brining or seasoning though. Not much flavor, maybe next time select spicy instead. Chicken indie chain expands again in the northend. Same chicken favored both by Oprah and Guy Fieri. This corner of 220th and 99 in Edmonds with easy access from 99 or I-5...choices from Dick's burgers/shakes, Asian fare, Woods Coffee, and now Ezell's Famous Chicken!

It looks like online ordering is cheaper than in store, which is interesting. While Teriyaki is the first thing read, I want to say the curry and fried chicken are the stars of the show (I have not had the teriyaki though, but reasons will be explained). As soon as you step inside the store, there is a strong curry smell surrounding the room. Curry is definitely strong and likely popular from first impression. Second, the fried chicken looks mouthwatering and there are different lunch combos. It's also possible to only get 5 pieces of chicken for $10, in case you aren't as hungry. Basically a quarter order, given how a full order is 20 pieces. A full order can easily be split between 2 people, but I'd push for 3 people as well. Crispy Yangnyeom Chicken - they offered me sauce on the side, which I gladly took for an opportunity to try the chicken plain. Otherwise you can opt for the chicken being glazed already. Chicken was double fried by the crunchy taste and extremely juicy. Fresh out, the chicken was also tender and burning. Yangnyeom sauce here is spicier than other places, which is more realistic of yangnyeom. Others tend to focus on the sweetness. Overall delicious and a huge portion. Crispy Ban Ban Chicken - today I learned that Ban Ban is half yangnyeom half original. In this case, half the chicken was original and half was spicier with yangnyeom sauce on the side. For a more authentic Korean experience, you may opt for this as it's a popular choice and allows one to get both sides.

My wife and I stopped by, and by some recommendations, we ordered: 5-piece Korean fried chicken (soy garlic flavor) Japanese Curry Katsu Teriyaki and Katsu combo I'm just going to lump the reviews of the katsu orders together. Right off the bay, these portions are LARGE. This place serves generous plates that can easily be two separate meals. The star of the show for me was the katsu. The breading was light but crunchy, and the katsu paired with the katsu sauce? Unbelievable. The curry was also nice too with the curry adding a thick layer of goodness onto an impeccable piece of meat. I'm already thinking of more katsu. The teriyaki was great too. Nice and simple, you can't go wrong with the teriyaki. If you want more of the sweet teriyaki sauce, there's a stand near the register where you can grab a bottle to lather on more. The Korean fried chicken - probably the largest pieces of chicken pieces (drums, wings) I've ever received at a restaurant. The soy garlic flavor was really prominent, and it also had a fantastic crunch to it all. My only qualm, albeit a tiny small one, was that it didn't pack that *crunchiness* of Korean fried chicken, as in it seemed like it was only fried once. But no matter, we were both enthralled by all the meats and flavors. Come one, come all. This place truly is a gem in Edmonds and can easily missed while driving down the road. It's no glamour or pompous shine, but this humble restaurant sure packs a punch. I'm full while writing this review and already planning my next trip back.

The restaurant has been opened since July 2025 and took over from the previous tenant, Dong Ting Chun. Hot Cajun Crawfish is a Vietnamese Cajun seafood boil restaurant, that also has Pho, Po Boys, Fried Seafood, and a cocktail bar menu arrangement. I highly recommend ordering seafood by the pound, as this was the main highlight of our meal. Our group ordered 2 lbs of crawfish, 2 lbs of clams, 1 lb of squid in their House Special sauce. This sauce was extremely buttery, rich, garlicky, and spicy! 2-3 stars (mild-medium) were much much spicier than anticipated, so spice enjoyers be warned. The seafood was fresh, served in stainless steel bowls, and piping hot. Everything was coated in the seasoned sauce and was well above expectations. Our group also ordered the seafood combination platter, the beef and tripe pho, seasoned french fries, and the lobster fried egg noodle. I was not a fan of the seafood combination platter (fried catfish, oysters, shrimp). The seafood was coated in this thick batter that texturally was mid and almost inedible. The seafood itself was just ok, with the catfish having a very strong aftertaste. The beef and tripe pho was just ok, good portion sizes, but it is not the main prize Hot Cajun Crawfish offers. The lobster fried egg noodle was surprisingly well seasoned, with a generous warm water whole lobster tail on top. I liked the seasoned fries, they were crispy and a good portion. I would come back just for the seafood boil bags, they were delicious and worth their price. Everything together for this party of 5 was $185 including tax and tip. Service was attentive, friendly, and food came very fast. We visited on a Tuesday evening at 6, and the restaurant was empty on this holiday week. Enjoy the pictures folks.

I had Dawa on my bookmarks for a long time ever since I saw videos about it and just the overall good reviews. We came in and saw that the place was pretty packed on a Thursday night but we were noticed quickly by a male employee and seated right away thankfully. Once we were seated, we were handed water and utensils as well as directions on how we can order as they have a small kiosk. We put in our order of galbi fried chicken, pork on the bone stew or gamjatang, and grilled pork belly. Once the order was entered, our waiter came back with rice, banchan, sauces and accompaniments for the pork belly, salad (think it comes with the grilled pork belly), pickled radish for the chicken and plates and bowls to share. It didn't take too long for food to come back but it didn't all come together which was odd but luckily the chicken was for sharing. The gamjatang was huge and pretty good, not as good as one of my favorite places in Federal Way but I will admit that they do give some huge pieces of meat and offer a one time refill of the soup. It could use more of a kick and more seasoning. The chicken as many others have mentioned was extremely well-fried, marinated and extremely huge. I do think they have the biggest Korean fried chicken pieces that I have ever seen in Washington. The meat was juicy, the outside was crunchy, and the sauce was heavenly. My boyfriend did say the grilled pork belly was some of the best he has ever had in his life, which is super high praise and I will admit that it is very good as well! They had an interesting playlist ranging from K-pop to regular pop (lots of Justin Bieber) and sometimes they would tone it down a bit then start blasting it. The two male servers working that day (7/16/26) were fantastic about checking in at perfect times, were courteous and refilled our waters. We never had to use to kiosk to call them once which I appreciated very much. We ordered brisket, pulled pork, collards, mac n cheese, and gumbo. The meats were the absolute highlight. The brisket was phenomenal--very tender, fatty, and ultra smoky. Others in our group felt similarly about the pork. We got the Kansas City sauce and, while it wasn't the best I've ever had, it absolutely avoided the common pitfall of being cloyingly sweet. They promise that it isn't too sweet on their menu, and they're right. For BBQ meat, I think Gabriel's Fire is up there among the top offerings in the area. The sides were less great. The collards were divisive in our group. I liked the initial hit of vinegar and the oh-so-subtle kick in the aftertaste. But others found them bland. I will say I appreciated that they at least appeared to be vegetarian/pork-less. The gumbo was quite bad in my estimation. Its only flavor was the roux and salt, and its texture was unsettlingly uniform. The Mac and cheese wasn't bad; very plain but inoffensive. The fries were immensely greasy, borderline burned, but soggy. The only one of these I'd consider ordering again is the greens. They also have no options for any kind of bread--no rolls, no cornbread, nothing of the sort. Maybe it's unfair to judge a restaurant on what the don't serve, but this felt like something that made the meal feel unbalanced. There is a lot of intense BBQ snobbery in Seattle, with many claiming that we don't have any good options here. I disagree, and my credentials are having done a lot of eating in the South (AR & TX mainly). Gabriel's Fire is good BBQ. We are so happy to have it nearby and look forward to returning.

The plates for 1 they have gives great a pile of meat, fries, hand made and little crispy and Mac n cheese, which was good. We had pork, brisket and ribs at the table. All of which was smoked fairly well. The brisket was good and tender. Pork was a tiny bit dry but the homemade bbq sauces made for it. And the spare ribs were cooked well, they were good for spare ribs but I generally prefer a baby back. Overall the service was stoic, he was spot on with everything but looked as if he was busy with a lot of other stuff throughout the restaurant as well.
