    Blue cheese olives!

In short A thriving neighborhood watering hole with a great kitchen. Runs like a top. Kind of a dad-bar/sports-bar vibe away from the dining room. Full bar. In long This place has great word of mouth and I'm glad I finally got to check it out. I tried 2 things, and, so far, the menu seems to be executed very well. The whole menu looks crazy promising, so this is an excellent sign. I came in for a late lunch on a summer Friday during World Cup. A few folks were watching the game--there were a handful of gasps for great shots and saves. But most of the scattered crowd was there for a leisurely lunch (or beer). They have a solid tap lineup with lots of dependable local favorites, and the tender knew quite a few people by name *and* by beer preference as soon as they sat down. Said she had been there over 5 years. Great vibe, lots of happy customers. It probably gets kinda loud in here when it's packed--you can tell from the photos that everything is concrete and wood and whatnot. No acoustic baffling that I could see. Easy to clean, though, and it was definitely just pleasant and sociable the whole time I was there. I got the Blue Burger with a cup of clam chowder. You can tell the soup is scratch, nice little dicing on the potatoes and veg, decent amount of clams. Comes with the oyster crackers that some of us have loved for decades. The burger is hearty--thick patty, thick stack of veg, squishy thickish bun. Easy enough to eat but without a doubt it's the opposite of a smashburger. I know, I know. This is a seafood joint. You can tell from the fake seagulls right by the front door. But it's been ages since I had a burger, and at least I tried the chowder. Everything was easily good enough to come back and see how the water side of the menu is. I was in and out for a fair price, and never doubted that everything would be very good. And that's exactly how it turned out. I'll happily be back.

I genuinely enjoyed this place! Overall good food and clean. A good place to catch a game and grab some seafood! Food wise: There are so many options on the menu including variety of seafood, steak, salads, pasta etc. And everything we ordered was good! We went in as a group of six and each got an item. We got the hook platter and crab dip. And the rest of the gang got a pasta, and a couple flat breads. Portion size was pretty decent too. Service wise: Was fantastic, I believe our server name was Myra? She was attentive and sharp! Checked in on us a few times making sure we were doing good. Ambiance wise: It was spacious and clean. Located in a nice area too with parking! It has tvs for sports game. The bar was stock with variety of alcohol to choose from! It was a good first time for us at this restaurant! Definitely plan to be back!

Decided to try this place after I'm back to the hood. It was calming walk down the street to this restaurant. We were served quickly. I will be very honest the menu is huge! Took me awhile to decide on what to order lol. Settled with steak bites, steamed clams, crab and artichoke dip, fried cod and salad with salmon. We loved the steak bites! The extra veggies of onion, peppers and mushrooms were delicious. Steak was tender and flavorful. Clams were meaty and tasted good with crispy cheesy bread to dip in that sauce. Crab dip was also good. My fried cod and fries was really good. Crispy outside and juicy cod inside. Slaw and tartar sauce were all on point. My friends salmon salad was really delicious too. Overall was a great meal. And we also had a slice of lemon cheese cake and salted caramel cake and that was all amazing. So happy to know the restaurant is still in business and good still tasted great. Will return soon

What drew me in was their vast menu and location. There is something for everyone here from pasta, burgers, salads, seafood and gyros. Hubby and I ordered the 3 piece cod & chips and subbed tots, and the beef gyro sandwich with clam chowder as my side. The things we took notice were the clam chowder was loaded with clams and was tasty, which we enjoyed. Also, the tots were extra crispy just the way I like them! The entrees were good. This is a great neighborhood restaurant located in Perrinville with decent food for every palate. There was a mix-up with our check, which our server corrected immediately.

Interior has nice aesthetics and fair lighting. Service was pretty good. Food was alright. Their name implies seafood would be fresh while our shrimp and salmon were not. Both were 'fishy' and texture was seemed over cooked/previously frozen. Crab and shrimp dip was ok, not very much seafood and a lot of cream. Would've been better with crunchy pita chips or bagel crisps than soft pita. Favorite was the salt & pepper calamari which had a light breading and calamari was tender.

Kids popcorn shrimp basket & fries - amazing!

Hands down amazing!! would eat here again & again! Everyone's food & experience was great! Family-friendly & very personable and offered a great recommendation on pasta!

Walking into this place it has more of a bar feel than restaurant though there are separate areas. The outside looks kinda neat, but upon walking in it doesn't fit the outside in my opinion. We went there for dinner with the parents just to try a new place. The server we had was quick to the table but that tapered off. I ordered the seafood Diablo which came with quite a bit of seafood. I was pleasantly surprised. Though the Diablo was certainly missing, it was more of seafood in tomato soup. My wife ordered artichoke chicken with a Greek salad. She said it was alright, except for the fact that the salad was served on the same plate as the warm chicken. Usually salads are separated from hot food. My parents both got a deep fried offering from the menu. My mom got the prawns(6 large ones) and my dad got the deep fried platter. Both were satisfied with their choices as they both got quite a bit of food. We finished it off with beignets, which everyone enjoyed. Like I said the server was very distant and we had to ask for water, napkins etc. There is quite a large menu, and as the food was not too bad but just lacking in a couple areas we will be back to give this place another shot. Hopefully it was just an off day...

My wife enjoyed her wine and salmon. I had the swordfish. Both were good. The potatoes and veggies were well prepared. Service was great. Casual and comfortable environment.

The last few times I had dined at the hook, the food was good. However this last time it was not. This is a cautionary tale not to order the halibut and chips. For the price they charge. I expected the fish to be fresh, which it was clearly not. I have never seen halibut that thin in my entire life. I believe I paid twenty eight dollars and change for the meal and had better halibut and chips at a drive through burger joint, where I paid sixteen dollars. Not just a little bitter, but far superior which is quite a shame. I took 2 bites and chucked the whole meal.

This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! It was a busy Saturday night, but we got seated right away so that was a plus. The interior was a mix between a restaurant and sports bar with lots of seating. We shared the honey sriracha brussel sprouts, small greek salad, gyro, alfredo linguine, and strawberry italian soda. The portions were huge, especially my alfredo linguine... so I ended up taking leftovers home. I loved how cheesy the pasta was. Our server was very friendly throughout the night and always checked up on us. He also comped our dessert because our food took a while to come out so we really appreciated that! I would definitely come back again :)

Restaurant wasn't crowded when I arrived and I was seated quickly. Server was nice but it did take a while for me to get the check at the end of dinner. Salmon corn chowder - this was okay. I've had better for this area. There was a good amount of salmon in there. The Hook Platter - sampler of 2 fried oysters, 2 fried shrimp, and one piece each of fried halibut, cod, salmon. The oysters were the best (should have just ordered that by itself). Then the jumbo prawns and cod were good. The halibut and salmon were too dry. I don't think they are good deep fried (especially fry salmon). I ordered their fruity punch. Too tangy and not enough bubbles.

Tasty food. Love the steak salad. Do be aware that because of the "tarriffs" food prices may not be what is on the website. Crazy times.

We ordered the old fashioned and I asked for a French 75, but with vodka. Tabitha let me know that it's called a French 76, which I will keep ordering. Since it was happy hour we decided to have dinner as well and my husband got the burger and I got the chicken strips and fries. The burger was perfectly cooked, but note, on happy hour does not include fries. That was fine though because my chicken tenders came with more than enough to share. My chicken tenders were juicy and very large, the happy hour portion with the fries is large enough to take some home, definitely worth it! (No picture of food because we inhaled it lol) Let's talk sauces - we had the honey mustard, buffalo, and blue cheese and they were all 10/10. It was only our second time visiting Victor Tavern but I think it will become a monthly visit.

For more than a year now, my friends and I have made The Victor Tavern our regular Friday night…read morespot, and our experience today is making us rethink this. Yes, we were a fairly large group, but there was never an issue in the past, so imagine our surprise when the manager or shift lead greeted us in a condescending manner because we hadn't called ahead. Again, more than a year of eating here and it was never an issue. If we could not be accommodated, or had to wait this could have been communicated to us as proper adults, not in the way this was handled. Several members of our party walked out and I think the rest of us have decided that as good as the food is, it's not good enough for us to come back after this experience.
