Perfect spot for a late dinner or date night! We loved the food, service, cozy booths, and dim lighting. The beef bulgogi was my fav and the fried chicken was huge, crispy, juicy, and sooo tasty. The Galbi wings were sooo delightful! We enjoyed our food and soju feeling comfortable to take our time, chat, and relax. Also enjoyed this location has free parking and easy to find. Overall I really really liked the food and atmosphere here and would recommend!

Atmosphere is perfect for a late-night spot, and the food hits the spot! The Rose Tteokbokki was very cheesy and decadent, and the Spicy Whole Chicken was the crispest Korean fried chicken I've ever had. The serving sizes are also huge, we had some leftovers between the three of us from these two dishes! Would definitely come back for the KFC!

Another great meal and experience...plus they are open until 1:30p for those who are attending late night events!

Solid Korean spot with flavorful dishes and cozy group vibes If you're craving Korean stir-fry or fried chicken, Dawa is definitely worth a visit. I'm giving this place 4 out of 5 stars. Ambiance: 4/5 The restaurant has a casual and cozy atmosphere, perfect for small group gatherings or a casual meal out. It's a comfortable space with warm lighting, though nothing especially unique in terms of decor. Authenticity: 4/5 The flavors are bold and true to Korean comfort food. Their K-style fried chicken is a customer favorite, and though I didn't get to try it this time, it's definitely on my list for next visit. The dishes feel home-style with a good representation of classic Korean flavors. Flavor: 4/5 Everything we ordered was delicious and flavorful. The mixed tofu soup, while comforting, leaned a little too salty and surprisingly didn't include an egg, which is typically standard for that dish. Protein portions in the other dishes felt a bit on the lighter side, but overall taste was satisfying. Cost: 4/5 The prices are fair for a Korean restaurant in this area. However, with the smaller protein portions, it didn't feel like the best value for what you pay. Service: 4/5 Staff was friendly and food came out at a reasonable pace. No major complaints, but there's room for improvement in attentiveness and checking in with diners mid-meal. Final Verdict: 4/5 Dawa is a solid Korean spot with flavorful dishes and a relaxed vibe. While there were a few small misses, I'll definitely be back--especially to try their famous fried chicken next time. Great place for groups or casual dining with friends.

I recently tried their fried chicken for the first time through delivery. I went with half spicy and half original fried chicken, and it was pretty great! Both flavors were tasty- the original tasted like the classic flavor and I also like the spicy sauce. The texture was good with it being soft and moist inside but little crispy on the outside. They have a lot of menu options, which I would like to try different fried chicken next time! I'm looking forward to it.

I've been here a few times trying out their tofu soup and street food dishes and I've noticed that they probably have changed owners because the place used to be quite dim with the lighting, but now, it's pretty well lit which was surprising to me. I thought the tofu soup was quite reasonable if you come here late at night. Honestly hard to find food like that during those hours. The chicken wings were weirdly battered. I was expecting more of a crisp to them like all the other Korean fried chicken spots I've been to in the past. It still had a crunch, but it wasn't like flaky. The place has a couple sauces for the chicken that helps with a bit of the dryness. We had to ask for the bonchon because we noticed another table got it, but we did not. I don't know if they forgot to bring ours or if it only came with tofu soup, but yeah, we had to ask for it even though it's free. Place is usually very busy, so it can be hard to get a table right away. And the music is a bit too loud to hear anyone. If that's your vibe though, check it out. If not, it can be more tame at the place next door.

Kind of the best Korean friend chicken we have ever had.... Delicious! We love it so much we go seriously out of our way (from Bainbridge island) to come here whenever we can.

I've been to Dawa a few times, and it's quickly become a favorite spot for late-night Korean food. Their dishes are delicious and properly spicy, making it perfect for those late-night cravings. I really enjoy their pork bone hot pot with rice. It's a great comfort food option, especially when most restaurants close by 10pm. Dawa stays open super late (1:45am), and it's great that they offer a soupy menu item for those late-night meals. The booths are high, providing good privacy, but it can be a little hard to get the staff's attention. Just poke your head out, and they'll come right away!

Been here several times throughout the years. We came here on a Thursday evening and luckily there was no wait. We tried White Grape Makgeolli and it was delicious. Side dishes, corn cheese, and chicken wings were delicious as usual. Spacious environment. The vibe was more of a drinking place. The only downside was that the staff may not be super attentive as they usually got a lot of customers in and out.

Walked in pretty late at night after 9pm. I was quickly directed to where I could sit. Was pretty full lots of people. Not loud at all. Very comfy environment. I was craving spicy kimchi fried rice with pork belly; I instead decided to try a dish I never had before. "budae jjigae" a very hearty stew comprised of different meats, rice cakes, vegetables and noodles. It was served as hot pot. As I waited for my meal I decided to do some research on it; and learned of some interesting history facts that I thought I'd share to those who are unaware... budae jjigae Which translates to army base stew and originated as a survival food after the Korean War. "The dish originated after the Korean War when food was scarce. It's named after the leftover United States Army rations that make it up" I found this to be pretty neat. My waitress and server Jade was so very sweet and helpful! I wasn't sure what the rice cakes were initially in the stew I just knew they were tasty and she had informed me when I asked and even offered to bring me more which I gladly accepted! My overall experience here was amazing, very friendly and welcoming staff. I will definitely be back to try more new dishes when I'm in the area next! Portion was huge! Very generous amount and definitely for more than one person! I came solo so I definitely have leftover for the next few days!

    Yang nyum and Geokhan chicken
    Kimberly Chloe Q.

Dawa is my #1 Korean Fried Chicken spot in Washington. Their chicken is tender, juicy, crispy, and everything you could ask for from a fried chicken. My friends and I got the yang nyum and geok han chicken for dinner and a lot of us hadn't eaten that day yet, so this meal was heavenly. No other place serves as big of pieces as Dawa!! You get whole chicken breasts in there it's insane. When you bite into a piece, the juices just explode in your mouth (in a good way) and has the perfect texture of soft meat and crunchy skin. That kitchen was cooking!!! The prices are reasonable as well. Couldn't get a picture of it but we also got the seafood pancake and corn cheese. Best seafood pancake ever and the corn cheese was cleaned off the plate within 30 seconds. In terms of service, we had to wait for a while for our chicken because it was a pretty busy night. However, the servers were so kind and gave us complementary drinks on the house for waiting. The seafood pancake and corn cheese came pretty quickly though! They also give out wet wipes for when you're fingers get all saucy which is so sweet. Also, love the vibe of the place. It felt like a lot of the pubs I went to in Korea and had a very welcoming feel to it. Always love seeing the Jinro frog in display. Anyway Dawa 10/10 you have my heart and I wish I could come more often but Lynnwood is so far.

The Creamy Onion sauce is surprisingly very tasty so it made the chicken a lot better- I would come here just for this. On the other hand, I could pass on the Sweet & Spicy sauce because it was on the blander side. We also got the Rose Tteokkbokki which I really enjoyed! It's flavorful, creamy, and overall well balanced. I just wish it came with more sauce. We got surprised by a Jinro mascot and team in the middle of our meal- they were taking shots of a new lemon flavored soju with every table. It was so much fun and I even got a free t-shirt. I opted for a bulgogi beef bowl w/everything except the sweet mashed potatoes & got to choose between 5 or 6 sauces. I went with a sweet and spicy variation. The bowl will cost you $15.50 before tax & doesn't come with a drink so be prepared to spend $20/person for a decent meal. But I took in consideration the folks ahead of me and the fact that the food I received was just out of the fryer hot, so definitely cooked to order, no heat lamps. Definitely give yourself more time if you are hoping to eat here before catching a movie at the AMC. Anyhoo, I discovered this place last year, and since then whenever we were in the area (mostly for movies since I really don't do the mall thing) this has been my go to when I get the hunger. That first time I ordered a chicken sammy since I was curious how it would compare to Popeye's. Now, while the Popeye's chicken sammy has been my favorite since forever and I think the best of all fast food, my first Seoul Bowl chicken sammy blew it out of the water. That's saying a lot because I love Popeye's chicken sammy (still do). But the Seoul Bowl sammy was so good! CRISPY, JUICY chicken,Korean sauce and slaw, nice warm soft bun, the flavors! Yeah, mos def took the number 1 spot on my chicken sammy list. The only thing that would've put a sammy like that over the top for me is if they used dark meat, but few if any places do that. It's all about the white breast meat. I digress. Another positive, the ordering process using the touch menus. Very easy, intuitive and able to customize. So it was nice that my son, who doesn't like veggie's or the spicy, can enjoy the sammy as well w/o the stuff I think help make it so good. Service was nice, polite and spot on with the orders as far as food court workers go. As opposed to the kids working behind the counter who always look like they would rather be somewhere else, finger blasting their phones and the phrase "customer service" isn't in their job description. Check out the kids at Auntie Anne's for example. Again, I digress. As for the atmosphere and area, well, it's the mall food court, but I can say they kept their area clean, stocked and entertained with vid screens of Korean K-pop and what not. So definitely relevant. Unlike going to a Japanese restaurant once and on the TV was WWE wrestling? Digressing again....As for other food, I can only speak to what my son and wife had, which were wings and Korean bowl. I tried both and I can honestly say, same goodness. The Korean fried chicken wings were nice, CRISPY, JUICY and FLAVORFUL. I would say definitely better than most places that claim to specialize in wings, say Buffalo Wild Wings, Wing Dome Seattle, I've even been to the Anchor Bar in Buffalo NY-Home of the original Buffalo Wings, and I would say the wings I had at Seoul Bowl are just as good...if not a better. The Korean bowl had good presentation with lots of flavor and was filling. Not just a mound of rice and strategically placed toppings to make it look like it's covered, but a nice ratio of rice to toppings to make it a meal. If I wasn't stuck on the chicken sammy I'd eat that. Oh! and we've also had the Bulgogi Kimchi cheese fries! Now that was definitely something different, and so very, very good. Just have to eat it fast unless you like soggy fries. Made to share, so if you order a sammy, don't get the meal (meal comes w/fries), just the sammy. Otherwise it might be too much food. But is there such a thing? We'll have to give the other locations a try to see if it's consistent. But for now, the Alderwood location is our go to!

The biggest reason we keep coming back is my kids. They absolutely love it here. Out of all the arcades we've visited, this is their favorite, and they enjoyed it so much that they convinced me to sign up for the Platinum Membership two seasons in a row before I cancelled it for spring season. The arcade is fantastic, the atmosphere is fun, and it's one of the few places where the entire family can spend hours enjoying themselves. Also, you get 30% of your food with the platinum membership. The food is another bright spot. I usually order the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which has consistently been good. My kids love the Goldfingers, cheese pizza, and fries. The food is reasonably priced, especially considering you're at an arcade and entertainment venue. Unfortunately, the service has been a recurring issue during multiple visits. On our most recent trip, we waited nearly two hours for a table for just two people, despite seeing plenty of open seating throughout the restaurant. That alone was frustrating. Even after being seated, the experience didn't improve much. We've had several visits where we sat down and waited an unusually long time before anyone came to take our order. It often feels like you're forgotten after being seated, and the overall attitude from some of the staff has come across as indifferent rather than welcoming. One experience in particular has stuck with me. Before I was even able to place an order, I was asked for my credit card. It caught me completely off guard because it wasn't presented as a standard policy or explained in any way. The interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome, as if I was being viewed with suspicion before I had even ordered food. It's disappointing because the arcade, food, and atmosphere are genuinely great. If I were rating those alone, this would easily be a 4 or 5-star place. But after multiple service issues over multiple visits, I can only give it 2 stars. I hope management addresses the customer service side of the business because this location has so much potential.
