Of the 3 EOS locations ive been to which includes Riverview and Tampa, I think this is my favorite. Front desk staff are pleasant to talk to. They don't have the AI machines that the other locations have but I never really was motivated to learn how to use them. Just seemed like a hassle when I can just get the same workout on some other machine despite it not being able to track my progress like the AI ones that they don't have. Plenty of parking. the gym is very spacious. Never really have to wait for equipment but i always got there pretty early around 5am before work so I'm not sure what its like in the afternoon or on weekends. Also everyone that works out here all seem to be very pleasant to be around. Most just keep to themselves but dont seem to be disruptive in any manner, Not many cons to speak of. I did have 1 personal trainer. I thought she was great with correcting my form but I don't think she pushed me hard enough. That's probably my only real criticism. Also I noticed doors on the lockers seem to get unhinged frequently which is kind of an eyesore. Not sure who's breaking them regularly. This is by far the best gym in a 30 mile radius. Equipment is always clean , weights are racked about 85% of the time and that's very very good for a gym with active weightlifters. I'm constantly surprised how clean the place is , there is always someone cleaning the men's room or cleaning in the gym area and I really appreciate that. The place is huge and I'm never waiting for a weight station. Overall good gym clientele , some hang and talk but are not overly in the way , most are getting in a good workout bringing up the energy of the place. Good music plays , front desk is always greeting and saying goodbye. Gene runs a really tight ship here and I appreciate his management. I hope he's stays around here for a very long time. I wanted to like this place. They have a pool and sauna. Things I really need for healthy workouts. Sadly, I found the place to be substandard. The gym felt dirty, the sales person pushy, the place overly crowded and none to friendly. It's a gym. I get it. You can only expect so much, especially for these places that claim to be low cost. At least with PF you get exactly what you see and expect. With EOS, you get nothing put "oh, to use that you need to upgrade your membership". Just a hard sell for basic things, harder sell for non-basic things. FYI .. the pool is always busy. Don't listen to the sale people that say it's not. I toured the place. Talked to the sales person. Avoid the hard sale. Never went back. DO NOT SIGN UP WHILE YOU VISIT. Leave, think about it for a day, sleep on your choice and then do what you want. It's not always easy to avoid the flashy fast talking pushy sales person, but you will be gald that YOU made the decision after thinking about vs on impulse. I'll start with my main reason for giving this gym three stars, which is the hot tub constantly being down for long periods of time. I decided to join this gym while deployed to this area, and one of the main reasons I joined was because of the hot tub, which I value for recovery after my workouts. I also work late, so being able to come here, work out, and enjoy the hot tub was the main selling point for me. I've been very disappointed that the hot tub is consistently down, often with no time frame for when it will be fixed. I've even had to drive almost an hour out of my way just to use a hot tub at a different EOS. If I had known about the inconsistent operation, I probably wouldn't have paid for a higher membership. STAY AWAY. ELDER ABUSE. PREDATORY SALES PRACTICES. FORCED MY 87 YEAR OLD GRANDMA INTO CONTRACT AND SHE WAS HOSPITALIZED This place completely took advantage of my elderly grandma with underlying health conditions. She went in for silver sneakers to see what they had to offer and they passed her off to some guy who took her in the room and upload her on signing up for a $1600 a year plan for personal training two times a week plus supplements. My grandma repeatedly told them she didn't go in to sign up for that and she didn't want to proceed that day and she told them that they were hard selling her. They told her that she was a hard sell and that she needed to do it. She felt uncomfortable and didn't see a way out of the situation, she felt backed into a corner and so she signed up, not really knowing what she was signing up for. The contract is like a zillion pages long and fine print. She proceeded to go for a few weeks and her health started to deteriorate. Apparently the trainer they put her with had her doing all kinds of machines that she definitely should not be doing at age with her severe arthritis. She stopped going and was still sore all over her body for weeks following. She then came to visit me in Texas, she was constantly complaining about how exhausted and sore she was, she said it all started with the personal training. After two days with me, she ended up collapsing and had to be hospitalized. We have tried to resolve the situation with them, and they refuse saying that she signed the contract. They are literally praying on the elderly who are borderline senile and don't know how to negotiate these things. She said no multiple times and they just kept pushing her to the point where she was so uncomfortable that she just signed up. If you have elderly parents or grandparents considering this gym, please be cautious and accompany them. 2 stars??????? What????? How is this place averaging 2 stars in 50 reviews (as of this writing)? Clearly some of you are looking for something different in your gyms than me. I really like it here. Is it perfect? No. Are there way too many teenagers socializing? Sure. But whatever, the benefits outweigh all of that. First thing to know, the gym is huge. There is plenty of equipment. That said, they do lack backups of some popular equipment. For example, a plate-machine for shoulder presses. They only have one. That's a machine that's always in use, and most gyms have at least 2, so definitely a fail there. However, they have plenty of smith machines, leg presses, squat racks, benches, etc. If what you want isn't available then I can guarantee there's a substitute. Second, you have to give a shout out to their cardio movie theater. Literally, a movie theatre with a small collection of treads, bikes, stair climbers and rowers. How awesome is that? There's a pool, a group fitness room, and a group bike room. There's a kids area. There's a sauna in each locker room. There are a ton of cardio machines. There's also a group of circuit weight machines. The dumbbells increase by 2.5 lbs instead of the standard 5 and there are plenty! There's also a lot of room if you need to stretch or need to do body weight/floor workouts. The front desk has protein, supplements, protein cookies, protein chips, protein shakes. Huge selection. The locker room has half a dozen showers and plenty of lockers. What don't I like? Like I said, I probably would have included backup machines of some other lifts that they didn't. It's also a very popular gym for high school students and college students so it gets extremely busy during certain times and everyone is socializing. You may not care but I find it annoying. That said, even when very busy, you may need to find substitutes to your workout but you'll be able to get it in. And as someone who prefers treadmill work when in the gym (I hate weights) I love that their treads go up to a 20 incline and there isn't a 60 min time limit. That said, if you run out of water and want to pause your cardio, the treadmill pause is only 45 seconds and there's only 2 water stations in really inconvenient places. I've had to restart my cardio a number of times. Staff is friendly, gym is clean and there's a lot of room and plenty of equipment. 2 stars is BS. This is clearly a 4.5 star gym, but rounding down because there's enough negative that I can't give it 5. read more

They will steal from you! Do not sign up, if you do they will never stop charging you. We canceled with them in person, spoke to management, emailed corporate and are continuing to be charged months later. We just submitted a dispute with our bank, it has been a literal nightmare. DO NOT GOTO THIS GYM. They are scam artists to say the least. When you go to get a membership they will have you speak to a few different people but the main scammer you need to look out for is Ed the personal trainer. As someone who needs guidance at the gym I put my trust in Ed that he will get me setup with an appointment and everything was going to be good but I was so wrong. He talks to you like a friend and gives you all the information you need except for the important stuff. When I signed up for a personal trainer I told him I would just do a session to see how it is and maybe continue from there, little did I know this was my worst decision ever. I have tried 4-5 different time to get my first appointment scheduled with a trainer over a 3 week timespan and the gym keeps canceling my appointments without even telling me or reaching out. I got so frustrated that I ended up calling the gym looking to just get my money back since they charged me for 4 session ($44 each session) and I can't even get my first one in. I was told by Joe that I apparently was told it was a 6 month contract and Ed told me that. He did not tell me that and I have a witness that he didn't. So now I'm going to have to go through my bank to fight the charges to get my money back and block charges that come from them. I give them one star because you can't give ZERO stars! Stay Away! My wife and I were members of Planet fitness for years and when they recently closed, we went to EoS to take a look at the place. We went in and asked a guy behind the desk if we could look around. He said we had to sign a liability waiver to get a tour, which is BS and a lie to begin with. Ive been a member of gyms for 40 some years across the county and have never had to sign a liability waiver to tour a gym. Anyway, he just turned this kiosk around and said follow the instructions.. HUH...There was no liability waiver.... All wanted was my phone number, my email address, how we heard about the sewer, etc etc , and never got to any liability waiver before I complained. I said i'm not giving you all this personal information just to take a look around. This is silly....There was a nasty guy behind the desk that then said "then you can't look around." I said Ok, I'll find another gym, and we did...Also, It stunk to high heaven in there! When we left, they were laughing behind the counter and my wife said, It smells so bad, I would never go in there anyway. I'm sure nobody there cares, it's filled with kids, but it's no way to run a business. They won't be there long. They have a boom right now because the best GYM in town closed because Benderson is redeveloping the center where it is. The help there is poorly trained and abrasive. That never lasts. read more

Im a snow bird and only at the gym 5-6 months then suspend my membership until I return. I've been on the phone for over 40 minutes to resolve the issue of continued billing when I made the point to work with a front desk person and he assured me my membership was suspended. Nice gym but I won't put up with Chinese customer service reps reading from scripts and no one having decision authority. 15-year active duty veteran, serving in the FL Army National guard the past 3 years. I decided to join this gym based on amenities. I met with (fitness manager) CAMERON RUSSELL (now fired?) for a body scan 1 month later after signing up. I was told I could have a personal trainer for $19.99. It would be 4x 1/2 sessions at 1 per week. All I would need to do is sign up to pay for it. No mention was made of $88.00 per every 2 weeks per "contract agreement," which he conveniently scrolled through to not show but only the signature portion on the screen, assuring me that it was only to authorize the $19.99. Shady... The trainer "Julia" provided was a problem to respond to the schedule, only had one session with. She also quit or was fired, so who knows? So NOW I pay $28.88+$28.88+$88.00+$88.00=$233.76. No copy of the contract was provided electronically or physically. 2 months later, after 4x $88.00. I met with "Beni," the new fitness manager, having to deal with over 20 other customers in the same boat. I was also informed that the contract has a rollover clause that on the 6th month, November 5th, 2024, if I don't physically go in and sign to cancel the contract, I will continue another 6 months. Wow, it's a bit predatory. I am still waiting on a physical or electonic copy to furbish to JAG at McDill AFB and the military board of consumer affairs to review. Physical contracts need to be provided and read by the customer. Shame on me, right? but where's my physical copy. Is staff not doing their full job and receiving incentives and benefits for contracts? Above all, why are staff not bound by company contracts for damages against the company and customers? RUN!!!! This has been a terrible experience dealing with the personal training part of gym! My trainer, Lacy, ask me to bring my daughter in with me, when she did come, Lacy didn't show! She canceled 3 times! Don't try & deal with Quill either! Many messages left, went in person, nope he hides! I finally started reaching out to corporate & anyone else that attached their name to EOS, I think, pray, there will be no more charges taken out of my bank, but we shall see! This has been my goto gym every time I'm in town to visit the family. Open 24/7 just about everyday. I believe on Thanksgiving they were open 8am-4pm for all the diehard fitness freaks. I wish I could give this gym Negative Starts. Its 2 Star average is not a coincidence. The management is totally unresponsive and at times hostile. They also don't seem to understand the design of their own facility. And when you want to cancel you membership, strap in for a battle of constant hassle just to get them to quit charging your credit card. I circuit train because I don't have a lot of time. I joined here because they have a nice circuit training set up, machines are all organized together, the target muscle groups are sensibly aligned, and the floor is a different color clearly designating the space. Whoever designed the gym seemed to know what they were doing. However, the section is a just a free-for-all with most other members using the equipment as if it was any other part of the gym. So while trying to circuit train and stay in the time zone, you often have several people camping out on one machine making the completion of a circuit impossible. I asked the gym to do something about it, maybe post some signs to educate members, I gave them several other suggestions. What I got in response was straight up hostility with mgmt telling me people don't read signs and I had no idea what I was talking about when it came to circuit training. After numerous complaints with zero resolution, just repeatedly telling me I was the problem... I quit. But not so fast, had to sit on the phone through several phone calls wasting my time just to get them to quit charging my card. AVOID this Place. read more

Charged me for 4 months in a row in a fraudulent manner. Cancelled online and called to confirm. Still charged. Not only was this manager helpful, understanding, and kind, she was also very informative and made me feel welcomed. Good: Large gym with a lot of equipment and so many cardio machines you never have to wait. Very friendly front desk staff other than the hard sales salesmen. Lots of options of workouts, classes, swimming, things to do. And the movie theater/cardio machines idea is a great concept, though I haven't tried it. Bad: No one enforcing any of the posted rules including wiping the machines down after use, ditching backpacks and personal belongings in the aisles, and dropping weights- there's constant loud shocking sounds from that. Don't believe anything about a deal- if you go in there thinking I just want to do the one week free yeah that's not happening. The minute you walk in the door, they're going to assign you to a salesman who's going to try to hard sell you on the personal training and whatever. And whatever you sign and agree to that's not how it ends up. Be strong in declining and resisting the personal training part that's where they get you and they are hard sales on that. read more

The location is super convenient from where we live and The Landings has become a beautiful retail and restaurant area. It is a great place for a health club- ample parking (a bit challenging during popular workout times- particularly around 6pm) and many options to enjoy a post-workout dinner, smoothie, poke bowl, ice cream or cookie. Or even a Pub sub. The gym is large, offers an exorbitant amount of equipment and free weights, a lap pool with 3 lanes I think, and a whole area dedicated to lower body training. (I think!) For the cardio enthusiast, lots of treadmills and Stairmasters. The monthly membership fee, depending on what type you choose, can be a real bargain for what you get. When I joined with my 14 year old son, I wanted him to learn how to use the equipment and was willing to pay for that service. Lol.. now I understand that's not how health clubs operate these days. You are on your own with that. What EOS does sell is personal training. In other words, the monthly membership fee is amazing. But you will need to figure out the equipment on your own. The "personal training" that is offered is an additional fee with a specific six month or yearly commitment. Moreover, the fees are simply automatically debited from your bank account or credit card regardless if the PT sessions were cancelled to schedule conflict, PT trainer cancellation, or in my specific experience- Tropical Storm Debby in which the club was closed. While I don't know if I would recommend this health club to a friend, I do know that EOS is certainly lucky to employ Landon as a Personal Trainer. He is an asset to this gym. Landon has trained my son Jack for almost 3 months and it's been awesome to witness Jack become stronger, confident and a more aggressive player in basketball. We love Landon and for the expensive fees we pay, I hope Landon is paid generously by EOS. He certainly deserves it. read more

My trainer went away for several weeks then came back and quit. They never even reached out to get me a new trainer ( they setup the original trainer and arranged the first meeting based on what I needed) so I thought if I didn't use a trainer I wouldn't be charged only to find out they charged me for trainer I never had. They charged me the full amount for a session but said half goes to the trainer, but there is no trainer. The trainer posts the session which is used to charge you. I was also told that if you contact the trainer because you can't make the session they will not charge you either. I asked to speak to customer service , a manager, the owner and they said they had none. I found an online customer contact request section but for refunds it didn't work but I tested it for new members and it did work - I received an immediate call from sales. There is nobody you can talk too above the staff level to find a solution. I like the gym but I know they will retaliate and kick me out for complaining as I have heard this from others. I think the company is trying to do a good thing by offering low cost gym memberships. The staff tries to be helpful and friendly. However, this gym is SO CROWDED that it tends to be an uncomfortable and awkward space to workout. It could be a lot cooler too. You will be waiting to use some of the equipment and some equipment is broken and not repaired. Don't sign up for anything more than the $10/mo membership. The movie room is a nice feature and the relax room is nice but I question the cleanliness of the massage chairs. read more

The physical gym itself is pretty wild equipped. It is pretty amazing. The administration, specifically getting you to sign contracts, with no real explanation on how the contracts cannot be cancelled for six(6) months. constantly over billing you. Between the administrative side and their billing the two worst part of this gym. I terminated my membership and my daughters membership today, my daughters credit card was billed eight times for $88 within a month., We should've been billed $88 with one frequency. They refused to refund the money, and they refuse to terminate the contract. When my daughter signed the contract, it was not explained to her that she will be locked in for six months for the membership and in person training. It was not explained to her. Very deceptive practices. I do not recommend this gym at all whatsoever . read more

Typical chain gym. Lots of equipment and classes. $10/mo. basic membership. But this gym also has an indoor pool, sauna and hot tub. They have a good free weight area and even have center knurling squat bars and a bar loader for deadlifts. Minor problems like the bench press benches aren't adjustable and the bar holder setting is too high for me. Also the flat, moveable benches weigh about 300 lbs. each making it impossible for me to move them to the power racks even though they have wheels on 1 end, Staff is friendly. Noell C. is really sweet. And when I was entering with my knee scooter for 4 months last year due to a broken heel, a young man whose name I don't know was very helpful and friendly. Knew my name and phone number and had me signed in before I was even through the front door. They also have a huge collection of aerobic machines and a reverse hyperextension machine, something we powerlifters really appreciate. read more

Be careful, you'll be scammed! Now I know why this gym has 3,5 stars in review. First I liked this gym. It is over crowded though. The Situation changed when I changed my membership to basic. I changed my membership properly, with the grace period. I could see that they did not change my payment. I had to pay $28,88 instead of $9,99 I visited the gym many times and asked them to change it and every time they said I should have waited 2 days. I waited every time. Than they charged me $28,88 I visited them again and they told me to wait 2 days again . The manager was rude. She knew that I could not do anything. She enjoyed her power. That was disgusting. I asked for my money back and made pics of the guys at the check- in and the manager. The manager claimed I was not allowed to do it and started calling the police!!! I saw that guys at the check-in were ashamed of her. Now I have to go to the Small Claims Court. What a shame! I liked this gym because it is not far from my home. read more
