To make matters worse, he refused to negotiate with me and chose to call the police and have me trespassed. Now he has $800 of mine without providing me with any products or services.

I didn't believe them so I posted here and 110 Customs commented they would help me take a look at it. In less than an hour they found indeed was not the clock spring but a bent wire and loose bolt. My weekend car was sent here for a PPF when I purchased it. They did an OK job, I just didn't like the gap on the install. Here are the things that went wrong:In 2023, I took my commuter car to get the headlights, hood, front quarter panels, A pillars and the front of the roof PPF'd. The PPF on the headlights started lifting the August of 2023. July 22, 2025 I took my car back to TST after a brief bumper rub with another vehicle. It was a hot day, so according to Paul, they just started to remove the PPF by hand without applying steam. They not only ripped the paint from the bumper, but Paul kept asking if my car has been re-sprayed. I repeatedly told him I bought the car brand new. After a several rounds of back and forth, they decided to be fair and took the car over to a small body shop where the conclusion was it was most likely due to the bumper rub. Paul also refused to pay for the damage while leaving minor scratches on the door. Attached is the picture. Now I will be paying $1,300 to get this paint damage repaired.

Initially I had some speakers installed in my whip, then an amp, then a subwoofer. The crux of the issue was the technical abilities and quality of work from "the Guy" who does the car stereo work/installation - Robbie. I had to go back for consistent re-work, things were not operating as they should, the stereo would turn off when I turned the vehicle off (not consistent with factory settings), the amp was not hooked up correctly, it was overall poor quality work. And after my third visit, and spending 3G's Robbie wouldn't even talk to me or explain what he did, they just handed the keys over and gave me the bill, and the job was still not correct. This, coupled with broken promises from the old man with glasses who promised me he'd knock a hundred dollars off my bill - and he never did. He overcharged me. And furthermore; he tells really bad jokes. I ended up going to "Soundz Plus" in Naperville to correct all of this dumps eff ups, and the professionalism and quality of work compared to Mobile Electronics puts them to shame. If you are serious about having a quality job done in the arena of car stereos I would highly suggest not wasting your money (which I did) here, and go to Soundz Plus in Naperville. If you want a simple job, yeeeahhh, I guess they can do that - but anything beyond was a real challenge. I would absolutely not recommend.

Most parts required were already purchased and/or with the vehicle inc. a new wiring harness. In June was told work was going to begin. I visited the shop in July, NOTHING had been done except cover my car with plastic. I expressed concern with the lack of progress and contact. I was assured that it would get done and better communication would occur. Two more months (Aug & Sep), more parts were requested and delivered and more excuses for lack of progress. Early October was told engine and trans would be mated the next day. Two weeks later I again called the owner and expressed my displeasure with his lack of progress up to this point. November- more excuses of waiting on tools (plasma cutter) to finish. December- was texted that the cutter arrived, pics from him sent showing them using a cutting wheel, no plasma cutter. More delays with HVAC system work never performed. Middle of February 2023- Was told project almost complete with startup by the end of the week. No contact for a month. March- Asked about startup, no startup, more excuses about a wiring issue when given a brand new wiring harness at the beginning. April- reported wiring issues resolved, startup that week. May- My wife went to shop and took pictures of my car as they are only open on weekdays. NONE of the work reported complete was done except the wiring harness being plugged in, only the engine mounted in the car, and subframe spacers installed. And mind you that I was dealing with my mothers terminal cancer and eventual death right after mid October which he promised the car would be done before. June- I arrived unannounced to pick up my property and terminate contract. The owner reneged on his own prior commitment of a full refund he made to my wife prior, and after some arguing, I agreed to 51% of my deposit back. This didnt include, the promise to replace my engine stand he lost the adapter plate to, the stale check he wrote me, the 2nd check I got his bank wouldnt cash, the call to local police, multiple trips to and from his bank , nor the fact he had to show up personally for his bank to cash the check. Fast forward to today. I am just getting back to the project car, after sitting in storage. I find that the brackets from my radiator/intercooler kit were missing, an $1100 new wiring harness was cut/damaged in multiple spots and missing a critical connector, my engine stand STILL NOT replaced. I dont know if, or what else I will find wrong due to this owner's incompetence and duplicity. I'm pretty sure the owner will jump on here and say I'm lying, however I have ALL the texts and pictures to PROVE all of the OWNER'S lies and shady tactics. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS unless you want shoddy work or no work done at all and be lied to your face. You have been WARNED!

How does an auto place not know anything about cars??? Oh and it takes Intoxalock 24-48 business hours to send an email, which would be a standard form. Seriously??? I can't afford to pay to get this fixed up front. They also expect me to bring it back to the place that has no idea what they're doing to begin with. Now I can't get my emissions done, which means my plates will be bad which means I can still get in trouble driving when the purpose of this horrible device is to keep me out of trouble. I need this fixed like yesterday. Horrible company, and horrible shop. I only used them because they were the closest available at the time to get it done so I didn't lose my driving privileges.
