My friend and I both came together and got spa pedicures and it was a poor service; we would not be going back. My nail tech walked away 2x times during my pedicure. Once for 15 minutes. No communication or anything as I sat there. The rest of the time she was texting and the job in general was poor because of her cluelessness. It was very crowded also and not a relaxing experience when 2 spa pedicures came out to $250 with tip. We still tipped 20% irregardless of extremely poor service because we're not rude like them. They over filed my nails, hurt me 3x did not apologize after I said Ouch that hurts! With over 20 years of experience in getting my nails done, it's clear that many technicians here emphasize a medical approach rather than showcasing a diverse range of advanced techniques. When comparing to other salons in Forest Hills, I found that many of the technicians here primarily focus on BASIC Russian nail techniques with dramatic artistic drawing styles, which severely limits the services available. I've also encountered issues with the quality of work, resulting in the owner having to address concerns with complimentary services. However, the way these issues were handled felt less than gracious. The owner will propose she did you a favor by providing a discount which is hilarious. I won't be returning to this salon. A trend in recent Yelp reviews corroborates my experience, as customers are beginning to rate their visits with one or two stars due to the perceived lack of value in nail services. It's basic level with showstopping cover-ups. It's unfortunate that the owner prevented me from keeping my appointment, seemingly upset over my disagreement with a comment made by the tech. This decision doesn't harm me; it only damages your business. I'm prepared to file a complaint regarding this matter. Now for some pettiness: let's not forget Ms. Owner when I called you to discuss ANOTHER ISSUE I experienced at the salon. You basically bribed me to not write a bad review while crying your eyes out and complaining about your staff. Complaining about your staff to a customer is UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT UPSCALE service. It's worth considering that perhaps the issue lies with how you manage and who you hire. It's become clear why the experienced technicians from Midlton chose to leave your establishment. Actual professional techs are seeking to provide quality service that your salon fails to provide. Midlton is where I will continue to direct my business. I have gotten two russian gel manicures from Madina thus far and I have loved both experiences. My first experience was actually my first time ever getting a russian manicure. Madina took extra care to prep my nails perfectly, both the cuticle and the shape of my nails. There were so many color options to choose from, it was honestly overwhelming. Now the most important part, how long it lasted. I got my nails done on October 8th and eventually cut and filed my nails down myself on October 31st because of the length and because the tip of my right pointer and thumb finger started to lift. I finally got my nail redone on November 18 because of how much it outgrown and the other fingers started to lift at the tip as well. That's 6 weeks and the nail polish never one lifted from my cuticles, which usually happens when I get it done at a regular salon. For reference, my gel manicure usually lasts 3-4 weeks when done at a regular salon. With my 2nd visit, Madina carefully removed my existing gel polish without damaging my nail, which I feel like usually happens at a regular salon and why my nail ends up becoming so fragile. She prepped my cuticle and nail with as much attention to detail like my first visit and helped me choose out polishes to match an example I saw on TikTok. It's been about 2 weeks now, and my nails are still holding up well. While it may be on the pricer side in comparison to any random salon you can go to on Austin street, the service and quality makes it so worth it. I highly recommend this salon. They have other services like pedicures, massages, botox, etc. While I can't attest to those service, I can at least attest to the service and cleanliness of the salon, which is all A+ in my opinion read more

I've been wanting to get my nails done here for a while. I've spent a lot of time admiring their Instagram but felt a little intimidated, like maybe this place is too fancy for me. I've had enough cheap manicures to know, you get what you pay for - often going for something quick and cheap and instantly regretting it. Last week I took the plunge and I am really happy I did. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly. I felt at ease there and the salon itself is clean and cool (this old lady needs a strong AC). My tech (Vika) was very sweet. She apologized for not speaking much English but that was fine by me! Booking with her was 20% off since she was new at the time. I was a little worried she might be inexperienced but that was not the case at all. Her skills are top notch. She paid good attention to detail. I didn't go crazy with any nail art, kept it simple (mostly because I am broke) but she made my nails look amazing. It was definitely worth dishing out a little more than I normally do. (This is not a knock at this place and their prices - it is very likely I am out of touch with how much an average manicure should be these days). I attempted to take a few pictures of my nails but I am far from a photographer. So pics don't really do the job justice. Walked in and was greeted by the receptionist who offered a variety of drinks including wine & champagne Anna was very sweet and explained the process to me as she did my manicure. Went here for gel manicure and "smart" pedicure which cost 220 total (this included gel extension to fix 2 nails but did not include tip). The actual experience itself was lovely but I think overpriced for what you get. The salon is clean, cute, techs are friendly, and you're offered a beverage. Unless you feel that you absolutely need a "smart" pedicure then I'd skip. The real cincher though --and I'm no expert-- is that the hard gel base/polish used on my toes caused my nails to crack even though I was assured it could be used for both fingernails and toenails. My natural nails break easily so I get an extension but because of work I can't have them too long. This was a terrible experience. They didn't communicate with me at all about an issue with my pedicure, just took a picture of my feet and walked away for 10 minutes. Then the appointment was changed to a manicure, at my request. They didn't let me look at the colors, just asked what color I wanted, and since I was having a bad experience, I just said pink. The color is fine, just a basic pink, but it was done very carelessly you can see my nail underneath where the color didn't go fully on the nail. With 4 of my nails, they cut my skin, and I was bleeding, and now my fingers are still very sensitive and red all around. Then I asked for a design on two fingers, for 2 flowers, and it was the messiest, design I've ever seen. I asked for it to be taken off and the entire time she huffed and puffed and you could tell she didn't care. My first issue is that when the day of my appointment had arrived they called an hour prior to my appointment and had to reschedule for a week later after booking two weeks in advanced. Then as I show up for my appointment thinking I will be receiving hard gel and once my appointment was over 30 minutes later, I then realized I received a basic gel manicure and in the end wanted to charge me for a hard gel manicure. Now only was I bleeding the whole time and in discomfort dealing with an attitude by Shakhlo. Who also pretending to not know English the whole time but understood and spoke in English. When it was time to pay we asked for someone who can help us because I didn't receive a hard gel manicure. Shakhlo then called what I believed to be the owner who was also very nasty and unprofessional screaming through the phone and when we were willing to pay anything to leave the owner kept screaming over the phone and wanted to be put on speaker to yell.
