I signed up in November and I've been out sick twice for injuries I sustained at the gym. Once for my back and once for my fingers. The treadmill and row machine is good, but the weights are so intensive it kills me. The smallest weight is 8lbs and two of those is 16lbs. It's hard for me to lift this much. I'm use to five lbs weights. I started at 175lbs in November, but by May I'm 183lbs so I didn't lose weight and gained weight. Even though the heart monitor tracked my calories burned, I wasn't losing enough weight. I averaged 400 calories burned an hour and I would workout four days a week. Doing more was too exhausting. The treadmill killed my calves and I have to stretch extra long to get the pain out. I loved orangetheory, but it is too strenuous for my body to handle since I'm getting injured so often. I have to cancel my membership.

I've been trying out a few different lagree studios in search of a lagree home lol and this was one of my favorites! Marisa was a great, attentive, hands on and a thorough instructor with clear direction. No one goes unseen and gives modifications/ alternatives to each position to either challenge yourself more or make it a tad easier. Perfect for beginner and advanced! Studio is clean with dim to dark neon lighting. I had bright yellow socks but appeared pure true white in the studio. Not too harsh where it interfered with the workout. If anything it helps, it feels less sensory overwhelming. Cubbies are inside and in view of, which is great since the instructor also runs the front desk. Some studios have the cubbies outside next to the door unsupervised where anyone can walk in and grab items without anyone knowing. Mirrors are on one side only but still visible from the back. They have a filtered water machine to refill your bottle as well. There are drinks and socks available for purchase. Not to mention it's located in the most convenient plaza with a smoothie shop, a target, poke Hawaiian restaurant, organic foods restaurant, ramen, cafe rio etc. Lots of healthy options to choose from after a good workout!
