F45 is a concept that is blowing up around the world. A group "pod" based interval workout that lasts 45 mins. Each day the "usually" switch between a upper/lower workout and a cardio type workout... weekends they go hybrid. I've enjoyed a few classes during the week and really enjoy them. The instructors motivate, correct and punish you all at the same time.. English, Courtney and Jen are all amazing and will push you to limits you didnt know existed. Work sets go in rounds with early rounds being longer and the final set being shorter but with more intensity... And just when you think you are at your max, English will drop a 45 lb plate on your lap during tricep dips or Courtney will have you do the ladder hops backward. What clear is members become family and push each other as well. I like that they have classes throughout the day and evening and the app makes it easy to book, read about the training and see who the dungeon masters... I mean trainers are. I think this program works well for someone that is looking to get in shape and follow a program and be part of something. I also thinks it's a great change of pace to your normal gym workouts. I try and go once a week on a low intensity run day or a rest day... trust me I think I enjoy the punishment Each pod has a variety of difficulty levels so you can find where you are at and grow with it. The diversity is great for your body and mind. I look forward to my next programming change as I will use two weeks straight at F45 to transition to a new program. Make sure you are on time to stretch and warm up as you will push yourself hard. The facility has 2 bathrooms, towels and a water machine so you can fill your bottle. And at the end you will get a eucalyptus wet towel and it feels like heaven at that point. I would be remiss if I didnt mention that while the company is from Australia, Mark Wahlberg did a stint to prepare for a role and loved it so much he invested and loves it. I attended to another studio before moving to the Southbay and let me tell you life will never be the same without F45 MB I started attending this studio in December 2023 and I was 6.5 months pregnant. The coaches were so welcoming and knowledgeable especially with modifications while I kept moving my body with baby. Now almost 9 months postpartum and I've lost body weight and body fat with their guidance and also joining the 45 day challenge (which I highly recommend). Come join us! F45 Functional Training has amazing programming to achieve just about anyone's fitness goals. Always wanted one to open in Manhattan Beach, and finally, Manhattan Beach Pacific is open and does not disappoint! Location: Easy to find right on Sepulveda/Pacific Coast Highway. Always ample parking since class schedules are extensive and next door businesses are closed. Conveniently located near healthy food places and markets (so no excuse to not get a quick 45-minute workout in between errands). Facility: Beautiful and very clean space. Equipment all brand new. Bathrooms with extra toiletries. Room temperature is warm enough so that muscles are easily warmed up. Workouts: Extensive schedule to cover most needs. 5:30-8:30a. Then 5:30-6:30/7:30p. Dry towels available and eucalyptus-scented towels handed out post workout. Workout pods adequately-spaced to provide safe areas. Trainers: Courtney, Matt, English, Jen and Flo are all amazing and have varied strengths that complement each other. They understand each members' needs and tailor the workouts just enough to give you a hard-earned push while making sure you perform them safely. Head trainer Courtney is certified which gives me great confidence that she knows the importance of the fitness building block, stability, to strength, to agility/power. Most importantly, they have great energy that keeps you pushing hard when the going gets tough. Owners/Operators: Owners Nick and Paige are so down-to-earth and quite approachable. I was a little hesitant to join at first since we are in a middle of a pandemic but after I was assured by a friend that F45 is taking COVID seriously, I am happy I joined. All equipment is sanitized after each class. Each individual has their own space outside that is at least 10ft away from another class member and tons of hand sanitizer is provided. The trainers are great - especially enjoy Courtney and Jen, the exercises are definitely calories burning, the class goes quickly, the music is fun and most importantly during these strange times (at least for me), the vibe is positive. This F45 was by far the best one I've been to. There were tons of parking spots and the instructors were PHENOMENAL! I tend to struggle in group fitness workouts because I feel like I'm not as good as others, but the people and the instructors made me feel right at home. They always push you to do your best and the community is so awesome that you are always looking for the next day. F45 in Manhattan Beach is incredible and the trainers are amazing! From helping you with your form to standing by your side and cheering you on to push a little bit harder, they are the reason I keep coming back. I've been on a fitness journey for the last 3 years and I finally found a place that I get excited about. From Equinox to BeachBody and everything in between, F45 is more than just a place to workout. I've done more in the last 2 months since they opened in November than I've done in the last few years. Burpees, jumping on boxes, and 2 min planks are just of few things I've done that I never thought I could do. They continue to build and expand their community of awesome people. I'm a mom of 2 kids (1 and 4) and I work full time with a long commute. The quick 45 minute workout combined with the intensity level is the perfect balance for me. Supportive and hands on- it feels like personal training with a whole crew to support you! Each work out is different, and there's a great balance between cardio and strength training. Run, don't walk to this Awesome workout location in MB! I love going in for 45 min of intense, hard-core, challenging, and fun workout that is full of variety and even with some surprises at the end of classes. First, I appreciate their location. Right off PCH, very easy to get to so there is no excuse for not getting there for an awesome workout! Second, the work outs are out of this world! You want a cardio blast, you got it. You want a heavy weight sesh hitting all your major muscle groups, you got it. You want to work on specific parts of your body in a group environment, you got it. Love how each one of the coaches get to know you and pushes you to your limit at the most opportune time. Whether you are a season vet or someone who is just getting into these workouts, there is something for everyone at F45 MB. Third and certainly not least, the coaches are what make everything go, they are Awesome! Great people who love to connect with their members...from the first one who joined to the new person coming in for their first class. I'm a "before and after COVID" F45 Manhattan Beach Pacific member and can tell you this gym came back stronger. So, how does a gym come back stronger after COVID-19 shut it down--especially when other gyms are struggling? 1) Incredible trainers who have stayed positive and connected to their members virtually all throughout this "new normal" when the doors were closed. They've adapted to coaching us through masks and dividers without sacrificing their passion to push us and make us stronger. 2) Owners who went beyond CDC standards to ensure members feel safe: so safe that members can focus on sweating and burning calories and getting stronger without concern for their health and safety. 3) An incredibly challenging workout you cannot get anywhere else AND that makes you better than you were before you came in. All people, all shapes, all sizes...everyone is welcome and supported...and are pushed to their limits--in the best way possible! The emotional and physical rewards are addictive. The calorie burn is intense. The weight days are beyond anything I could do on my own at a gym. This is the best workout I've ever done. read more

This location of F45 is out of this world! The workouts are amazing. You are challenged with something new every day so you never get bored and the Lionheart point system keeps you accountable for your efforts. But the coaches is what really makes this place special. The team here, from the coaches to the owners, are amazing. They genuinely care about you and your goals. Courtney are her team of coaches are unbelievable.. they bring the energy, they motivate, push, guide and support you. And throughout the sheltering/quarantine, they kept up many zoom workouts that provided much needed sanity. With the re-opening of the studio in this COVID-19 era, the owners have pulled out all the stops to make members feel as safe as possible while still offering an incredible workout. I was so happy that F45 reopened this past week. I really missed the gym, but honestly was worried on how they could continue their classes in a COVID world. WOW. They really went above and beyond to adjust to the new environment to make sure everyone is safe. New "tiles" have been created where you workout in a space that is closed off with see through plastic guards. You have your own equipment, own dedicated space, and your own dedicated screen to guide your workouts. Of course, the coaches are still there and they move around the room to cheer you on, suggest adjustments, and push you to challenge yourself even more. Everything is sanitized before and after classes. I just took my fav Hollywood class this morning (with the live DJ- such a bonus!) and LOVED it. It felt amazing to be back in the gym and not be worried about being exposed. I got a fantastic workout and will be coming back regularly again! So happy the amazing F45 community is back. read more
