F45 you ROCK my WORLD !!! Close to home and conveniently located in the Rancho Penasquitos Towne Center off Black Mt. Road. Plenty of parking off peak times. This location was in dire need of a fitness boutique studio ! Thanks to F45 you literally can have a one-stop-shop experience here. Nearby restaurants, massage studio, nail salon, and a grocery store to name a few ! The studio is spacious and well-equipped ! I love the concept of F45 and how the workouts change daily. You'll never have the same workout twice ! 45 minutes of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is no joke ! It goes by pretty fast, which I love yet each station/pod is effective. You are working out all kinds of muscle groups. I also like that I am introduced to new kinds of equipment that I never would try on my own. The battle ropes (aka devil ropes) and ab roller (aka devil roller) are killer ! They also have monitors to guide you through each workout so you are doing it properly. Major plus ! No pain, no gain they say ! I crave the feeling I get after every workout and it keeps me coming back for more ! It's super addicting ! Current Schedule: MWF (45 min): Cardio focus Tu/Th (45 min): Strength training - I usually go on these days and I love it ! It's amazing what your body is capable of. I feel myself getting stronger each day and it's only been a month. My goal is to do one pull up by the end of the year ! Wish me luck ! haha Sat: Cardio + Strength combination ! My favs ! It's also a one hour class instead of 45 minutes, but it goes by so fast ! Most Saturdays they have a LIVE DJ !! What a great way to get your WORKOUT ON with some live music !! Definitely extra motivating ! They have an F45 and MindBody app you can download. You can sign up for free and view the schedule/workouts ! I also utilize this to reserve a class ! You check-in once you arrive on their touch screen monitor. Very user-friendly system ! Amenities: One shower and two bathrooms that are well-maintained and fully stocked. They also provide free towels and filtered water as well as sanitizing wipe stations for you germaphobes (like me). Since they are fairly new, they have some grand opening specials, which I highly recommend you take advantage of. I find their prices much more affordable than the other F45 locations. If you're interested, try their free 2 week trial online ! It's a special and won't last long so give it a shot ! You have nothing to lose. After my first few experiences, I was literally HOOKED ! I signed up right away ! Congrats to the awesome owners, George and Nate, and their cool studio manager, Candice. They are very supportive, motivating, and positive people. I love seeing their friendly faces especially when blood, sweat, and tears are involved. I also love the trainers, Teddy, Kate, and Gino ! They encourage you to work out harder, which makes me want to do my best. Welcome to the neighborhood F45 ! We are so happy to have you !

I really like the format of these workouts - short intervals at multiple stations. It goes by so quickly! Some days are cardio, others are strength then Saturdays are a combo strength + cardio. I hope the management reconsiders adding back in the Saturday at 10:30 class. Also, I think it would be awesome if the soon to be added Sunday classes are the combo format. The music is very high energy and really keeps you moving. The trainers are excellent and have given me some useful corrections and are genuinely encouraging/motivating. I have 2 points of feedback: 1. I wish they would do at least a little bit of stretching at the end of the work out (there is a decent warm-up) and 2. Is there any way to keep the floor a bit cleaner? For example, a shoe cleaner mat before you step on to the training floor? Fortunately, towels are provided so you can put this down before you do the floor exercises. Overall, I highly recommend this location for an exceptional workout!

Highly recommend F45 and this particular location. The trainers are great! They don't shout at you like other gyms I've been to but will still push you to lift heavier and work a little harder, which means you're always improving (whether it be your form or moving to a higher weight). When the class is going on, screens in the front show each station and exercise so you can easily follow along. Can't do a certain workout due to injuries? No problem, the trainers are great at modifying and preventing injury. They offer an 8 wk challenge, which includes a 3D body scan (think you in silver surfer form) that gives u weight, body fat %, muscle mass, etc., nutrition consults that are realistic, a heart rate monitor, and unlimited classes. The heart rate monitor is awesome and gives u points that correlate to your heart rate. You want to aim for 45 points at each class. The sweet part is the HR monitors are linked to a hub in the studio so u can track your points in real time while you're working out. It's also great for some fun competition between friends when working out :) They offer several classes a day, seven days a week to accommodate nearly any schedule. As of right now, there are no Friday/Saturday/Sunday evening classes. They do charge a "no show" fee for weekend classes since these are the most popular and fill up quickly. The upside to this is the $10 charge doesn't go back to F45, these add up and get donated to a non-profit. There is no kids club BUT kids are welcome :) there is a sitting area in the front where kids hang out for 45 min while their parents get their fitness on. I bring my 5/6 yos pretty often and haven't had any issues. I can't stress enough how amazing the staff is. Candice and all of the trainers get to know you and you never feel intimidated or out of place, regardless of how many classes u attend or how in shape u are. They often throw events (Christmas and Super Bowl parties, outdoor workouts or just nights out at local businesses, etc) to really build a sense of community and welcoming. I've been attending since their opening in September and haven't met an unfriendly or rude member yet. Everyone is so nice and encouraging to one another. Again, HIGHLY RECOMMEND this to anyone looking to boost their current fitness regimen or ditch the mom/dad/holiday bod and get back in shape (I'm the latter. No shame in being fluffy!).

F45 Rancho Penasquitos literally saved my life. I first went in on October 10, 2018 and they helped me workout HIIT style and with nutrition. They were instrumental in helping me accomplishing my fitness goals and losing 100lbs plus. I went from 288lbs down to 186lbs by March 2020. Gained muscle mass and I am maintaining now around 210 and working to get back down under 200 again. Yes those Covid 19 pounds hit everyone. Now it is time to shed those last 20lbs again and F45 is a great place to do so. Great fit family and fit community and everyone here is a friend and supportive of each other's fitness goals. Trainers here are awesome, professional and friendly. I look forward to every workout. No two days are ever the same the only thing routine about the workouts are working hard and having fun. F45PQ is helping me maintain the best shape of my life, I am 52 and able to keep up and lead with all the hiking, biking and canoeing activities our Scouts BSA troops do. Being in shape while our kids are 14 now and doing the activities they do side by side and being able to show them the ropes so to say is an honor and so gratifying. Grateful that I am not slowing them down. If you're looking to get back into shape and get rid of that keg beer belly you are carrying around and start to work on a six pack get into F45PQ.

Wow where do I begin?! I made a goal to get back to being in D 1 volleyball shape before my 40th birthday soooo I signed up for the 8 week challenge here and was amazed at how quickly I saw results. What I like best is how different all the work outs are and I appreciate the trainers always pushing me that extra inch. Being done in just 45 minutes is a plus too! I've brought many friends and family who too have loved the work outs and signed up! Definitely worth checking out and you may just get hooked!

They don't just focus on helping you work out, they genuinely care about your overall health and well-being, which is something I haven't experienced at many gyms. Before joining, I had only ever done cardio, so strength training was brand new to me. I was a little intimidated at first about the idea of strength training , but from day one, they made the whole process feel approachable. They don't just tell you what to do, they explain the science behind the exercises, why you're doing them, and help you progress at your own pace. Their goal isn't to compare you to anyone else, but simply to help you become a stronger version of yourself. After training here for several years, I'm not only physically stronger, but I actually understand what I'm doing in the gym. I've learned proper form, when it's okay to push myself, and when it's smarter to hold back instead of ego lifting. One thing I really appreciate about Jon is that he wants people to become independent. He teaches you how to work out correctly so that if you're traveling or can't make it to the gym, you still have the knowledge and confidence to continue exercising safely on your own. That mindset says a lot about how much he genuinely wants his members to succeed. The community here is another reason I love this gym. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and supportive, making it a place you actually look forward to coming back to. Something else that really stands out is that they never make you feel like they're trying to sell you something. During a difficult period in my life, Jon was incredibly understanding. He encouraged me to take the time I needed instead of making me feel guilty for missing workouts. When I was dealing with a shoulder issue, he modified my workouts, had me skip certain exercises, and made sure I used lighter weights so I could recover safely without pushing myself too hard. That level of care is something I truly appreciate, and it's a big reason I've stayed here for so many years. And of course, I have to give a shout-out to Adri, she's an absolute sweetheart! I genuinely love everything about this gym and couldn't recommend it more.

The space could be utilized much more efficiently, and the organization of the equipment feels a bit scattered. There are also several older machines that could benefit from being replaced with newer, more versatile equipment that better reflects today's training standards. With a few updates and a smarter floor plan, this location could be one of the best in the area. Overall, I'm still a big fan of both this location and the 24 Hour Fitness franchise as a whole.
