I honestly did not know what to expect. But, with my gameface on, I gave it a try. It's basically circuit training. Most of the classes are 45 minutes long. The day I went there were 27 stations at 45 seconds each with 15 second breaks for an hour total. It was very challenging! I chose to do one circuit but in the end was celebrated as though I had done the full class! Jenny and Jason, the instructors, are very encouraging and help ensure you are doing the motions properly! Mike and Nate also help monitor the classes. Everyone made me feel good about just being there. If you're searching for a new workout routine give this a try. I am so happy to have taken a leap of faith and jump right into F45. I live a pretty active lifestyle, I enjoy spinning, running, barre and just working out in general but F45 has really changed the game for me. I used to train 1 on 1 with a personal trainer, and he had me doing circuit training as well as HITT. It was great and all but it got pricey and I was only going 3x a week which meant my results weren't what I wanted. With F45 I am able to train as often as I'd like and the best part, it's different everyday! They have names for each workout each day. Mon/Wed/Fri are cardio based workouts with some strength training . T/Th are Strength training workouts with some cardio. All of which are 45mins start to finish. Saturday's are hour long workouts (I've only been to 1 Saturday and so far it has been challenging and fun!) What I love the most about F45 is that it's empowering. At my 530am workout, there are a lot of women and a couple of men and we all support each other! It's not a competition to make anyone look bad, we literally all encourage each other to keep pushing, to go harder, and that is something that is invaluable to me. I had gone to 3 gyms before I went to F45 for the first time. It's like the story of Goldilocks and the 3 bears. The first gym was not motivating, with people just hanging out on their phones hogging equipment. The second was eh, but their forms caused me wrist pain. F45 is just perfect for me! I have a lot of health issues and Nate and Jenny are super understanding. They want to push you past your comfort zone, but to also know your limit. Nate told me, "There is no such thing as embarrassment here." F45 is not like "normal" gyms. It is companionship, encouragement and most of all FUN! If I wasn't so sore, I would go every day lol. I was one of those people who hated to go to the gym, but F45 makes working out fun. I really love the team training aspect of it because it's more enjoyable to work out in a large group than alone.
