I felt comfortable and empowered. Alex was great. He gave me great suggestions how to use what I learned at home. The venue is open and has a large breath of equipment to help you focus on training your core and specific muscles groups. I took a Momentum class that gradually builds in intensity. The Focus was on athleticism & endurance where the pace was 6 rotations (2 each at 70 - 80 - 90% off weights) on 6 different stations. Let's just say you can feel the burn! I also got adjust positions based on my flexibility and limitations. I like to give it 100% so I did change too much. It was such a great experience! I could see few monthly classes in my rotation. I really appreciate the private parking too. That's a huge plus for the area!

The customer service I've experienced at other gyms has been exponentially better than at this location. I'm personally there just to workout so if it was just once or twice then okay, but I've observed it on multiple occasions. As someone who did a lot of PR/Marketing and knows a lot about customer service, I find it very off-putting, strange, and unprofessional. They're very selective about who they are friendly to, often stand in or leave pads in your way, and at times quite obviously go out of their way to be rude. At every other location I've been to I've made friends with the trainers, they actually want you to do well, and even after I've left the gyms we are friends on social media and chat. The atmosphere at this location in the other hand presents itself as being very emotionally immature and childish.

On a late Sunday morning in April, the place was probably busier than usual but I still had plenty of space to hit the machines I wanted to. Only one other person was in the 30 minute workout area and we managed to share the machines pretty well as the lights flipped red and yellow and green. After, a pretty good shower. The hot water started off very hot and continued long enough but then cooled. With three of the showers being used at the same time on the men's side, I'm guessing we drained the water heater pretty well. The only other complaint I have is there isn't a shelf in the shower. No one likes putting their stuff on the floor, least of all me. It's a large parking lot and there were two very obvious RV campervans parked. Not me, today. I live here in Charlotte! I've been seeing them spring up rather rapidly all over town and, at the same time, thinking I should check out a boxing/kickboxing gym. After checking out the website I went in for my free trial. They don't do your free trial any different from a normal session here. You come in and are instantly swept up into the circuit-style workout. Yes, it's basically a circuit. But you won't be using funky machines with weights and pulleys. It's more realistic. Using your own body and weight, jumping, squatting, crunching, lifting, punching and kicking to name a few. I'll admit I was overwhelmed. Apparently the day I'd chosen to come it was some kind of "kicking cancer" promo. It's a small place and it was packed to the brim. The website makes it seem like you'll have a trainer following along with you the whole time but you won't if it's packed like this. They bounce around from "round" to "round" (what they call each stop on the circuit). They may come by with a few words of encouragement to push you harder or even come by with an unexpected modification to the standard workout on the wall at each stop. Maybe they'll hold mats for you to kick or punch. Maybe they'll add a kick to your sit-ups. I decided to sign up for the two week promo at $30 to see if I'm still interested after that. For 6 months, at the time of writing this, the cost is $500. That includes a pair of boxing gloves that are yours to keep (and use here of course). So, in about two weeks, we'll see if I'm still interested in the seriously intense workout they have here. I can't finish this review without making the shout-out to Craig, the owner. He was very attentive from the moment I came in. He's encouraging but won't necessarily go easy on you. He takes your fitness goal seriously, and he seems to never forget your name. If you leave here without breaking a sweat though, it's on you!
