I joined F45 Tustin back in January 2022. 300+ classes later and I can without a doubt say that this place is the best gym/community I have ever been a part of. Scott, the owner, is a great guy who instills a sense of community within the gym and provides a straightforward/fair approach around all membership options, no sales pitch gimmicks etc. The trainers are all fantastic - Justine, Rene, Lauren, Henry, Gracen and all of the others will be there every step of the way, ensuring that you are maintaining good/safe form while motivating the heck out of you. I love F45! It's one of the only workouts I have stuck to and enjoy. Each workout is always challenging and different and the 45 min go by quick! The trainers are great, always pushing me and upping my weight and they always have modifications if needed. The facility has everything you need from equipment, music, and bathrooms/showers. We even were able to workout outside during the pandemic. I joined to get in shape for my wedding and I was able to lose 10 lbs and maintain a healthier lifestyle. Definitely recommend! read more

Scott Henderson and the trainers at F45 are very wonderful, as so many others had already indicated how awesome they are. It's all true and I couldn't have said any better, so here is my story. Never before in my life have I a member of any gyms. I first tried F45 was March 2018, liked it very much, but did not join until March 2019, because I wanted to explore other nearby gyms to compare before making my commitment, after trying three more gyms (only used the Try Free) I found nothing compared to the experience I had with F45 at the Tustin location. I waited a whole year later to messaged Scott to tell him I am ready to join, right off the bat, he remembered who I was and eager to help me with my goals. Scott made me feel he cares and I am in good hands. As of today I can say, I lost some weights, gained some muscles, I am healthier and having so fun doing it. F45 is truly life changing and the best part of my day! I'm hooked on these workouts. I've tried a few different intense HIIT training centers in OC and I'm settling on F45. F45 is welcoming to all, not pretentious, full of team spirit and consistently improving ways to stay motivated and create team building activities, which I appreciate. The workouts are only 45 minutes and consist of challenging cardio or resistance training (depending on the day of week) with guided instruction on the TV screens, trainers that walk around and help (shout out Scott, Carrie, Alegra and Owen!) and fun music. The workouts are also always different. You complete a full body scan assessing fat, muscle and weight at the beginning and end of each Challenge (an optional 8 week program consisting of working out at F45 and clean eating). If you buy a lionheart rate monitor ($80?) you can track your daily workouts for calories burned, BMP and points with an email they send after each workout (serious game changer and motivator in my opinion). I've really enjoyed tracking my progress and meeting gym mates who I've bonded with over the months! Highly recommend if you're looking for serious change. read more

F45 is a solid 45 mins workout! Days rotate between strength and cardio base or a little mix of each. Everyday that I go, there's changes in the workout so it's different from the day before or even the week before. Saturdays are a fun day because there's a live DJ and usually a packed house (27 people max). The space isn't huge, but it's very smartly utilized. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. Trainers get to know you and very supportive during the workouts. Clean towels and filtered water for your bottles are available. There are different levels of fitness here, but it's easy to go at your own pace. read more

But as soon as I finished my first session at F45 I realized that this isnt like any other group workouts. It's a team workout with amazing trainers that keep you motivated and focused. --Background-- I had been a Crossfit addict for around 3 years until one fateful back injury during a deadlift. Over the next 6 months, I fell into a cycle of injuring myself, coming back too early, and re-injuring myself again. At some point, I just had to stop myself and walk away. By the time I was fully healed and ready to go, I knew I wanted something that had all of the things I loved about Crossfit - the sense of community, functional movements, and emphasis on strength as well as conditioning. I researched quite a few options and even tried a few... Corepower and Orangetheory to name a couple. F45 blew them all away. --The Workout-- The workouts are simple, but varied. Each day, there are stations setup with a specific exercise, ranging from squats or box jumps to burpees or dumbbell lunges. You'll work in intervals, with something like 45 seconds of work and 15 seconds of rest between sets. Some days are more cardio focused and others are more strength based. The result is a full body workout that kicks your @#$ on a daily basis. If, like me, you're coming from a Crossfit background, you'll feel right at home. You'll see lots of familiar sights, from rowing machines to kettlebells, pull-up bars, and barbells. However, what you won't see are heavy olympic lifting racks / platforms. I won't lie - I do miss the satisfaction of landing new PR snatch. But what I don't miss is the pressure to lift both heavy AND fast, leading to an inevitable loss of form and resulting injury. Ultimately, F45's focus is more on maintaining an elevated heart rate versus how many reps you can do for time. It's about working out for yourself rather than trying to beat the next guy over. The intensity is every bit as demanding, and sometimes even moreso. While a typical WOD might only last 15 minutes, F45 is a standard 45 minutes every workout. My one gripe comes before the actual workout. Each day, you'll follow along with a video that takes you through a pre-set warmup. While this makes every movement nice and clear, it also feels a bit impersonal, more like I'm just following along a workout tape at home. --The Facilities-- I was thoroughly impressed with the facilities. The locker rooms come with actual lockers and a shower. Towel service is available for those of us who tend to sweat buckets. Everything is cleaned with near military-like precision. The workouts are displayed on large TV's that illustrate each individual movement so you never feel lost. --The Coaches-- During my 2 week free trial, I've worked out with Scott (the owner) and Jake. Both are awesome, giving good feedback and corrections during the workouts. Both were very conscious of any previous injuries and made real efforts to help me feel welcome and motivated. At no time was I ever pressured into joining - I actually approached Scott for details on pricing, etc. --The Bottom Line-- F45 is a workout that has many of the strengths of Crossfit. Although it isn't as strength oriented, it will challenge you on the same level with a much lower risk of injury. read more

If you are looking for a new place to work out..I would like to suggest you try F45 in Tustin. My wife and I have been coming here for just over two years and still love it. The 45 minute workouts (60 minutes on Saturdays) change daily so you never get bored with a static routine. Some days are focused on weights and others on cardio. You can modify stations if need be. The owner and staff are all great. The gym members vary in age from late teens to retirees...and everyone encourages each other. If you want an effective full workout in 45 mins in & out this is the place! Different workouts everyday never bored. I tried the 2 week trial. I tried to make it daily and lost 7lbs! I am a person who usually spends an hour+ in the gym and is skeptical about workouts that are under an hour..that is until I tried F45 Tustin. The daily workouts are only 45 minutes long but they are intense! It varies day to day from cardio to strength. The 45 minutes goes by fast but it is not without pain. I joined F45 Tustin in March 2019 and attend classes 5 days/week. I have never been more dedicated to a gym than I have been with F45 Tustin. I attribute my dedication to a few things: a knowledgeable, motivating, and passionate staff (including an extraordinarily caring owner) that all genuinely seem to want to be there; challenging, fun workouts that change enough to where it never gets old; and the members it attracts bring with it a true sense of community, people I genuinely like and look forward to seeing. I go to the 12:00 class Monday-Friday, during my lunch break from work. It helps me release stress and anxiety, and it truly breaks up my day. I go back to work feeling more energetic and motivated than when I leave to go to the gym. I am so much stronger than when I started. I love it. I have been to many Gyms and none is like F45_training.! I have been trying to lose weight since forever and nothing seemed to be working until I joined F45 ...and I'm not going to lie the 4 weeks results was so amazing I totally flipped!! I have been doing F45 now for a little over 6 months, and I can't imagine going back to any sort of fitness plan. F45 is by far the best gym/studio I have been a part of and the workout surpasses any workout I have ever done. It is a full-body workout with constant variations throughout the week. I have nothing but positive words to say about this studio. After trying F45 at another location last year, I felt that it wasn't for me. I went back to the gym, worked out for 6 months on my own, but wasn't losing the weight that I wanted to be losing. As my wedding date was quickly approaching... I became eager and desperate to find a fitness program that worked for me. I signed up for the first week trial and loved it. I've trained with Scott and Mal so far and they are amazing and so sweet. Scott, the owner, is very personable. He definitely keeps you accountable and keeps you in check when you're slacking. I like that the work outs are difficult, but doable. I enjoy the "unknown" so I don't get bored with the same routine each day. I feel sore all the time and it hurts so good haha. I enjoy the team environment and support from each of the members. The facility also includes clean showers with shampoo, soap, and conditioner. My coworkers and I utilize it daily. Think of this like a studio with scheduled fitness classes rather than an open gym where you go and do your own thing. I am feeling a lot stronger and feeling great after each work out. I've been going out of my way to bring co workers and highly highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see results! This is my third week with F45 and I'm lovin' it! There are so many reasons why I love F45. I think what I love the most though is how many people you see there who have completely changed their lives. This gym will change your life if you just show up! It is incredibly inspiring to work out alongside people who have consistently put in the work, transformed themselves, and happily continue to attend.
