I figured we'd hear all the noises, but was pleasantly surprised that we barely heard anything. Our room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was well-kept. Any outside noise was muffled and didn't bother us, which I appreciate. The complimentary breakfast was great. They had diy waffle makers, cereal, bagels and bread for toast, and yogurt. There were also 3 trays of hot food. Egg and cheese omelet, sausage, and potatoes with chorizo. There were tortillas and toppings on the side. No complaints here, we will be back.

It is conveniently on the south side of I-10 for travelers moving across the country, but not directly on the highway so that you don't hear the road noise all night. I was on the third floor. There is an elevator inside the building. I booked a King-sized bed. The room had a long hallway inside of the room, which I found unusual, but it did provide an additional buffer from noise in the hallway, especially since my room was right next to the elevator. The bathroom seemed smaller than normal, but it had all of the necessary items - soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, makeup remover, hairdryer, and an allotment of various towel sizes. My new favorite thing was the blackout curtain installed in the bedroom. It is actually a shade that is rolled up and down with the use of a chain. The shade is in a frame track so there is no light able to peak through sides or corners. It is not pretty, but it does completely block out the light, so I appreciated it. Things I didn't like included the location of the closet in the farthest corner of the room away from the door. I personally prefer to have the closet by the door where I can kick off or put on shoes as I enter/exit the room so that I am not dragging in dirt to the room. A closet by the door and near the bathroom is also helpful for dressing or hanging coats, putting away luggage, etc. Unfortunately, the closet was hard to get to. You have to cruise across the entire room, squeeze between the lounge chair and the bed, and gingerly open the closet door to avoid bumping yourself as you do so. It is so inconveniently located, that I didn't even use it. It was pointless to have it. It had an iron and ironing board inside, but it would have been difficult to het either of these items out of the closet because how the furniture was wedged around the door. There were four pillows on the bed, but they were not king sized. They weren't even queen sized. BW has started using mini pillows. These were also very flat. I was highly disappointed with these. I love having lots of big pillows to wrap around both sides of me and under my head, but this wasn't really possible with these deflated minis. The yellow lounge chair had stains. It looked old and haggard. Since it was a cloth, I'm guessing it is isn't something that is easy to clean. The orange pleather ottoman was mismatched with it. These items were probably salvaged from other sets and thrown together for a second life in this room. Cleanliness is important. When stained furniture shows up, it leaves a bad impression. Furthermore, I refuse to use, so BW might as well not have the furniture in the room at all. Either clean or reupholster it so that the stains don't show. The room had a fridge and microwave. The TV had a Google package. The fridge was slightly noisy during the night, but I'm guessing it comes in handy, especially during the hit summer months, which is most of the year. I was able to use my points to get the hotel room for free for the night. Because I am a member of the rewards program, I was also offered a bottle of water at checkin. The breakfast room is small, but it offered the standard combo of hot and cold food including biscuits and gravy, egg, sausage patties, uncut fruit, yogurt, cereal and milk, bread, bagels, and a waffle machine. I loved that there was NO TV in the breakfast room. It was quiet and relaxing. The hours during the week are 6am to 9am. I would have preferred later hours, but since checkout is 11am, I can see why they cut people off so early. Not my favorite BW, but it was decent for a good night's stay while traveling across the country.

It was early June2019 and had once again checked into the best (and only) Motel in this wondrous, very bicycle friendly small community. My goal was to continue experimenting/learning how to pedal my eBikekit-assisted CruzBike on my very first overnight biketour, and there is no better route than here, the Eastern end of the "International Ft. Hancock - Las Cruces I-10 Bicycle Bypass". [the BEST way to explore our "Hidden Gem of the World, Crossroads of North America, anchored by El Paso, Cd. Juarez & Las Cruces!] I was confident of making the distance from fantastic Fresh Sip, adjacent to North Loop/76 across from North Loop Elementary School. What I hadn't figured was getting a front tyre flat (another! 9 or 10?) rolling through Acala. How frustrating! I was tired even though not working as hard because of the PAS. I disregarded the usual instruction to never pedal on a flat and pushed on. I knew I probably wouldn't damage the rim--I had stuffed the slight 700c-32 tyre with a liner and slit spare tub, all to prevent flats. Five miles/eight kms/45 minutes later, I was happily signing into the motel, paying with my VISA credit card. After plugging in the recharger, I applied some deodorant & changed into a clean(er) T-shirt, then gimpwalked across Knox Avenue/Spur 148 to delicious Angie's Restaurant. Following the satisfying meal, I returned to my luxuriously cool room to begin dealing with the flat. Suspecting that I might have just such a problem, I had brought the right tools and a new tube; 3.5 hours later, I had successfully removed the durable Schwalbe Marathon+, removed all the contents, reinserted the new tube, pumped/re-pumped it several times to ensure no more flats (I hope!). After a reasonable sleep on the superbly firm mattress, I arose saw the tyre was holding, went back to Angie's for another excellent Brekkie, returned to the well- repaired tyre and committed myself to finish the Eastern end, this time most of the day on great Ruta Dos in MAGNIFICENT MEXICO! I was extremely pleased to see many copies of the route on the counter when I checked out. I was far more pleased with having this tremendous lodging for the night. EVERY person who is bicycling through here, either Eastbound or Westbound, should overnight here! The FORT HANCOCK MOTEL certainly has my enthusiastic "Wheel of Approval!"

It's absolutely everything you could possibly want and need. We ended up being "stranded" here for 4 days, but this place was so nice, comfortable, and affordable that I wasn't that mad about it. The bed was so comfortable that I never wanted to leave. The bedroom and bathroom are very spacious. The AC works great and having the thermostat next to the bed was convenient. The room comes with a mini fridge and microwave. The hotel has complimentary breakfast with make your own waffles, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, green tea, apple & orange juice, and yogurt. They even had the Jimmy Dean microwaveable breakfast sandwich (sausage, egg, and cheese). The hotel also has guest laundry and vending machines. There are plenty of good food options (fast food and restaurants), movie theater, and shopping close by. They are on the other side of the freeway, but the Uber ride is only $7.

Or, having what essentially amounted to open-ended garage for most of the rooms. While the room does have a microwave, and mini fridge, a clock on the microwave read zero call 0:00. So, I had not realized that I drove through two time zones! Only after going out to dinner, and seeing that the place closed in 45 minutes, did I realize something was wrong. I found the bed to be quite comfortable. And the hot water was plentiful. The Wi-Fi is free, and secured. However, in my room, the signal strength was not at maximum. So, it worked fine for text. But, when it came to images, it took a while. Also, there's enough outlets to charge everyone's devices. 8-) If you don't mind having to either eat out for every meal, or being a microwave chef, this small little place would do well for an Extended Stay. The AC ran quietly, and work very well. However, due to the room design, the area where the bed was, cooled off quicker than the rest of the room. However, there could be one problem for some people; if you have a habit of jumping out of bed oh, you may find yourself back in bed, because you bounced off the wall.

I was with a group of friends and we had an amazing time and enjoyed the best tour any of us could ever imagine. He catered to our every whim and had tons of interesting add-ons to the tour, like stopping at food and drink stands, bakeries, candy store, "the wall", and many additional interesting and quirky sights. He took care of every need, such as exchanging money, going through immigration, and arranging meals. (He knew where to find the most tourist friendly bathrooms!) Most in our group, have individually traveled many times to Mexico, but this was a chance to travel with a local and meet the nicest people all along the way. It was a comfortable, convivial, and educational experience all wrapped in one. Both Los Milagros and the hotel we stayed at in Mexico were excellent.
