Fabio's is delicious! Their ingredients are fresh and their crust is just crispy enough.

Three words: Cheesy, melty, gooey. Did I spell gooey right? Well, you know what I'm trying to say. The subs are delicious, hot, fresh and generous. Only thing is when you are getting takeout, like we often do, your sub can get a tad soggy on the bottom with all those juices running loose if you have a long ride home, but still very yummy when you do get it unwrapped and eaten. The pizzas are way, way better than the two most popular pizza chains and a little more expensive yes, but they have a huge pile of toppings while the two largest pizza chains are now mostly bread with sauce and a scant scattering of toppings, more like focaccia than pizza. But Fabios is making REAL pizzas with fat dose of fresh toppings. The wings are also excellent as is the cheesecake. read more

I have been getting Pizza at Fabio's for several years, and they are consistently good. Their pizza really is NY style pizza. I grew up in Bensonhurst Brooklyn, so I know what really NY pizza tastes like, and this is the only Pizza I've had in Virginia that is really NY pizza. read more

Wow! Excellent service! Friendly - CLEAN establishment. My husband and I are visiting Charlottesville, VA - looking forward to seeing Monticello! But we needed a good meal after being on the road for three days without one decent dinner. Thank you Fabio's! We ordered the NY style, thin crust pizza, 3 garlic knots (yes, you can order as many as you wish!), meatballs and a piece of pumpkin cheesecake. Everything was delicious! The pizza was cooked perfectly - nice, tasty crust. I usually give the crust to my husband to finish but this dough was delicious so I enjoyed every bite! The pizza here is mediocre, but that is not why I give it one star. The problem here is with this restaurant's delivery. I have now ordered delivery twice through two different delivery companies (Uber Eats and Grub Hub), and both times it took so long that I wound up cancelling my order. I'm done with them. Best steak sub around, we bring our own A-1 sauce as they don't have it. I enjoy the Italian sub also along with the shoestring ff's. I find the pizza to be pretty good, we usually eat in and I notice a lot of call-in orders going out. Most recent visit tried the lasagna, wasn't too pleased with the results, probably would not order again. Overall we enjoyed this restaurant and will return soon. read more

One of the best pizza places in c'ville. Cozy and casual atmosphere. I thought that the service was friendly whenever I went. Food and portion sizes are great! You really get yours money's worth! Pizza slices are huge! Love the lunch combos they have! Being the meatball snob that I am, I don't just eat meatballs any where but decided to give their meatball sub a try and wow was it good! They weren't the frozen kind and the meat used was of higher quality. Better than other places I have tried in town that claim that their's are "homemade". I can tell the difference! Saw driver arrived and left with my food with only 3 minute wait so that was great Steak and cheese sub was good - different but good - chopped steak - good flavor not too heavy on mayo - generous meat portion on larger sub. I would get it again. We split it four ways to compliment pizza Pizza was hot and good This is like the old sals pizza. Love the thin limp crust. Group of six with 4 teenagers (two chow hound males in the group) split three SMALL pizzas and the sub with no leftovers and had to force the last piece. Has Fabio's changed its pizza? Got two last night -- and they were lousy! Both in taste and in how they were made. The toppings were scant - hardly there at all - and they were UNDER the cheese. And the cheese was poor, too. Bland in taste and texture. Only the crust was as I remember it. Fabio's pizzas have always been on my short list of reliable, quick, and inexpensive take-out for casual occasions. Not gourmet pizza, but always popular and appreciated. I hope that last night's were a fluke. If they're the new normal there, I'd lower my rating to one star. read more

Went for the first time and was excited to try the pizza. Unfortunately the young woman working the phones at the front was extremely abrasive and rude to us when we inquired about menu options. We asked about toppings and she responded very condescendingly to us and then proceeded to chastise her male coworker for helping grub hub drivers. The food arrived on schedule. It was hot. All good so far. I wish the soda could have been in a can since it spilled before I could get it to my hotel room. Then, when I opened the package, no utensils or napkins. My order clearly said that I'm in a hotel. So, I couldn't eat the salad, and I was forced to try to tear pieces from the calzone. Fabio's is the best pizza place in C'ville by far. Christian's lovers have no idea what they are talking about. I lived in NYC for a year. Think Ray's. Fabio's is the closest we can get down here. I eat at Fabio's once a week. Mediterranean salad is a good starter, followed by two slices. It's the usual deal. Too much grease, so you lay down the napkins. Then sprinkle on the Parmesan. Born and raised Jersey strong, went to school in NYC, relocated to C'ville five years ago and only found Fabio's a year ago. It changed my C'ville pizza life in the best way. I never could really get into Christians, too much dough and quality of ingredients just ok, but its a C'ville institution. Dr. Ho's has amazing crust and pizza selections, great for when I went that farm to table taste, but its not a staple kind of pizza and its a ride, everywhere else I turned failure, failure, failure.... until FABIOS Hands down BEST pizza around.
