However, this month I needed hair color on a day Sati was not available and I booked with Fabi as I have tried others and they are not as good as Sati. Before telling my experience I want to make it clear that I called the salon 5 times to resolve the issue with Fabi so I wouldn't have to post this. I called four times yesterday. Each time I was told right after the client she had. The call didn't come. She could not find two minutes to speak to me. The last time I called I told the girl I would not be able to speak between 4 and 4:30 because I'd be on a train. And Fabi calls me exactly at 4:15. I called back as soon as the train stopped ten minutes later and no response. I called again today and the woman working said she'd call her to have her call me. No call. Im done trying. I found this hair salon on Groupon. I called to ask about the partial highlights package and Fabi told me not to buy it just to pay the same there . It was 76.00. Meanwhile I ended up paying two hundred because she said I needed a base color and charges for blowout. If it had come out ok I wouldn't care about this. It didn't. I told Fabi how my hair was just growing back after it fell out due to immune issues. I was frightened to get color but she told me it was "organic" color. In four years I have colored it twice (highlights) and then a color over the highlights. My hair is thin and it took a lot of courage for me to go for these highlights. When Fabi took the foils out I could already tell there was an issue. My hair looked very bright and orangey. After she washed it , and dried to show me a piece it was ORANGE. Even she agreed and rushed to put a toner on it even though I wasn't supposed to get one. I have never had this happen and always highlighted my hair before the last four years. She kept saying I asked for golden. Golden does not mean orange. I did not pick an orange color. After the toner came off I suddenly had two girls drying my hair. And I honestly was just so confused because they kept telling me it looked good. The gaslighting worked because I paid and even gave a tip. When I got home it was clear my hair was still orange. And to confirm I went to another consult and have to get color correction. I'm ended up paying two hundred dollars at Fabis which I'm now disputing and now have to pay for color correction. And she can't even have the decency to talk to me. Not only is it orange but it is like Brillo on top now. Go somewhere else. Look at her reviews and you'll see others had similar issues with color. She seems like a nice woman but the way she handled this is not ok. Update: I got a phone call from the owner of this salon (a man) which is strange because Fabi said she owned it. Why again is she not the one calling ? He told me to come back in to fix it. I told him there was no way I was going to let them touch it. He also tried to gaslight me that the reviews are all phenomenal. This a kind of gaslighting is absolutely unwarranted and unprofessional. Search the reviews as she has done this before. I ended up hanging up on him because there is no way I'll accept this salon not refunding my money. I'm prepared to take it all the way to small claims court and report them to the better business bureau as well as Groupon. Edit again: Notice how the response to me refuses to acknowledge the bright orange hair Fabi gave me. Also, our conversation was unsuccessful not because I hung up, it was unsuccessful because you want me to return to a salon that gave me orange hair. This is not happening as fabi knows she screwed up (Hence the toner) and I will not allow more damage to my hair. Update: Fabi refuses to give me a refund. She clearly knew she screwed up my hair otherwise she would not have given me a free toner. This salon has no integrity or they would refund. I'm exploring small claims court. read more

No sure what's up here, gave the gift of a Groupon to a friend for a dye and wash. Absolutely, terrible. They burned her scalp (Women got confused with hot and cold water). Left dye on ears and front of face, stating the she would have to take it off when she got home. She had to help the stylist (if I can use that word) with how to dye hair as she appear to have no real idea how to do it. Also, know that if you get the wash of any kind the blow out or any use of a blow dryer is not included and will cost you an additional $50.00. The week was rough so I decided to indulge in some self care that I have not done in a very long time (thanks COVID). So I decided to go to a salon after YEARS now of dying and cutting my own hair (well sort of, just trimming damaged ends). My post-pandemic hair was depressing me. This was the first time I have come to Fabi's Hair Studio, and since I did not have an appointment, I just expected to do a consult and come back later. But Sati took me right away, which was lucky because it got very busy as I was leaving. Definitely going to make an appointment next time, I was so fortunate. Though I talked about color with her, Sati did not push me to get it right away- she said wait a couple of weeks since I had just done my color not long ago. I like how laid back they were there and that they do not pressure you to do things you don't ask for. Since I didn't know what to do with my cut, Sati suggested a few things and we agreed it would be nice to cut off a few inches and do some sort of face framing angle cut at the bottom. I liked this idea because it was not too traumatic a difference, but it was a nice change and a definite improvement. They also gave me a conditioning treatment, and now my hair is so shiny. The blow dry was a treat, because at home I'm a lazy drip dry girl and it never looks this nice. Maybe with the new cut I'll put more effort. I will definitely come back to this salon, I will get my color done here too. The environment was friendly and it was a nice experience. read more

The lady who did my hair (whose name I can't remember) was a complete delight. She was perky and bubbly, full of energy and enthusiasm. She took the lead in suggesting that I color or highlight my hair. None of which was happening. She was so confident that I would someday down the road and go to her to do it. By the end of the haircut she told me if I was on Yelp to write a review. Talk about a good salesman. The haircut was lovely. She trimmed it down, so it wasn't noticeably shorter but enough for me to be satisfied. The best part that she used this cream/oil that had such a wonderful fragrance to it. The team was really nice and clearly very busy but I was seen at my appointment time and the girls still paid a lot of attention to and make sure I was happy with my haircut. The shampoo they use smells amazing, I barely had to explain what I was looking for and Marie immediately understood and gave me a cut exactly what I was looking for. She was careful to ask how short I am willing to go and made corrections after the blow dry to accentuate the layers. The blowout was also great, my hair feels silky smooth and looks amazing. Also they were very quick! all in all it was only one hour total. (which is great because I had a dinner right after My hair feels so fresh and great! I'll definitely recommend.
