I read all the reviews on Google, I could find and I was confident that Tina would be the right person to see. From the moment I walked into the salon I knew I was in the right place. Tina is very nice and welcoming. Right away I could sense that she is very confident of her skills and knowledgeable when it comes to hair. She listened to my expectations and she made her recommendations as to what she saw and what she could do to improve my hair. It was nice seeing someone who enjoys her job and wants to make sure that everything that is done is to expectations of the client. In the couple hours of me being at the salon I learned a lot about my hair and how to take care of it to make sure it always looks great. Once she was done I was extremely happy with the outcome. I have been going to Arsen since I moved to New York almost 6 years ago. He is not only a talented stylist and colorist, but also a gentleman who takes pride in his work and truly wants you to look and feel your best. Because of his professionalism and the genuine care to which he extends to each of his clients, I have been following him from salon to salon. I am thrilled for Arsen that he finally has his own brand new clean, bright, and beautiful salon on 77th and Lex (easily accessible by public transportation). In the midst of this crazy and cacophonous city we live in, Josh Levi (named for two of his children) is an oasis of calm where, for an hour or two, you can simply relax and enjoy the salon experience and have trust in the results. I LOVE this salon! I came in for a haircut and blowdry and was given exactly what I wanted. At first, I was nervous because it's a brand new salon, but I was extremely happy with my results. The owner is very nice and has had very much experience with hair in the past. Tina washed my hair and did a very good job. The water was a good temperature and she massaged my scalp very nicely. Arsen did my hair and left me with gorgeous, healthy hair. I definitely recommend to use him. I explained to him exactly what I wanted and he gave me exactly that. The service was excellent. Just got the BEST dye job from Bruna. My hair is naturally a very dark brown, but she lightened me all the way to a light ashy blonde, and remedied the bad highlight job I got elsewhere about a month ago. The color has dimension and my hair has not suffered any breakage or ill-effects. I am beyond happy with the results. She really took her time to talk to me and then meticulously sectioned and bleached my hair. Arsen is the best. I found him in 2009 when I lived in the area and have been with him ever since - I now commute back from Queens because he is worth the time. He has a real talent for thoughtful, flattering, carefully done cuts that grow out well. He's flexible when you consult him on big changes and he'll give you an honest opinion if he doesn't think a style will suit you. He's also a lovely dude to spend an hour with, and fun to talk to. Not only do I get my haircuts, blowdrys, and color exclusively here, I recently tried the Keretain treatment and fell in love. My dry and frizzy hair is now more manageable and glossy without any additional products right after it air dries from the shower! I also like that it's formaldehyde free products that they use...Highly recommend, Arsen does my hair but overall it's a very nice atmosphere and professional staff and from what I've seen they all do beautiful work!! read more

Finally just finally. I've been going to different salons for years, and always had someone mess up my haircut. This place is new and definitely pampers you, giving you lots of personal attention. Not like most places just creating a revolving door for the next customer. Not overpriced very reasonable and that's including styling, blow drying, and washing. This is a great place to go if you are looking for a haircut. Arsen was super friendly and professional, you can definitely tell he knows what he is doing. My card was not working and they even let me pay another day. The price is also good considering it is on the upper east side. If you go ask for Arsen and he will make your hair look great. I cannot recommend Arson highly enough. He is so talented and always does a careful, amazing haircut. Penny is the best colorist I have ever had.
