Great pizza, nice atmosphere, staff very nice and attentive. Many take home options which would be great for vacationing tourists.

We stopped for pizza last night and were pleasantly surprised. When you walk in, you order at the front, take your number, and then find a seat. Seating is limited both inside and outside, so if the parking lot is full, just be aware that you may have to wait for a spot. We had the pepperoni pizza, which came with cupping pepperonis and was cooked really well. One side may have been a touch dark, but overall it was very flavorful and enjoyable. We also shared a premade salad, which was okay. It could have used something extra, maybe croutons, nuts, or a little more cheese, but their ranch dressing was excellent. Overall, we would 100% go back. Once the sun dropped behind the mountains, the outdoor seating area was lovely, and it made for a really nice evening. Here for dinner, dined in. Decor is quirky and meh IMHO. Not many dining in, they do a lot of carry-our business. They claim real NY style pizza, but we ordered a Detroit style pie. It was properly made, served quickly, and very good. Would have served at least three people, so we had leftovers. They also have many coolers of refrigerated and frozen entrees ready to go. Overall: Fabled Pizza is a really fun pizza spot that you have to dine in to experience the full thing. The pizza options have a lot of variety and the ambiance inside is stellar. Food: Lots of pizza options here and a very fun menu. The pizza's don't get terribly complex, mostly variations of 4-5 topping changes. Pizza overall was solid, a pretty good slice. Service: Order at the front of the store, once you order you get a number and they'll bring your pizza out to you. This place is fairly self serve, there are toppings and utensils set out on a shelf for you to grab. Ambiance: I think the interior of this restaurant is where it shines. The interior is decorated very well and has a "fairy tale" vibe to it. The windows are replaced with stained glass art of various movies, shows, and video games. The menu itself are references to various shows/games/and movies as well. Absolutely incredible pizza. If you're in the Boone or Blowing Rock area, this spot is a must for lunch or dinner. The decor inside is whimsical and fun -- it made waiting for our food enjoyable. Pizza came out fast, and it was some of the best pizza I've had in a while. We ordered The Boy Who Cried Wolf pizza and the Honeydukes pizza. The crusts for both were sturdy and had a great crunch, and the flavor combinations of the toppings meshed well together. Definitely check this spot out! read more

We stopped in on our way back to Boone from grandfather mountain. Downtown Blowing Rock was incredibly busy, and it was nice to find something off the main road. Customers were steadily coming in here too, but the staff remained friendly and accommodating. The pizza came out quickly, and we enjoyed both the Heisenberg and the Binding of Isaac. Andrew, half of the pizza was supposed to be carmelized onion, fresh mozzarella, and prosciutto. That was missing completely. I asked the girl who took my order if she'd like to write it down and she was snarky to me. I asked is she was angry at me because they got the order wrong. We had the Margarita and it was delicious. Crispy, thin crust is how we love it. The pantry is stocked full of take home meals or dips to enjoy at home too. There are too many options to list--just come! You can also buy a bottle of wine to enjoy with your pizza in house. They are open Tuesday-Saturday from 10:00 to 6:00. We ordered a pizza through their website and then enjoyed shopping the store when we picked it up. Added a Caesar salad and a banana pudding cup from their offerings in the store. Neat little place with a few tables. The salad was very fresh and crisp and the banana pudding was very good. The pizza was devine. This restaurant is half store half Restaurant, but has a nice country feel to it. You order from the register and they bring it to your table so no real service to speak of. The food is pretty good. Came in here for lunch today. Your order from the front counter and they bring it to you. Now you can get food to go here as well. I ordered the 3 little pigs pizza. The sauce, crust and toppings were perfect. A lot of the ingredients for the pizzas are imported from Italy. It is baked in a stone fired oven. Which makes a world of difference. It is a locally owned business. I highly recommend this place. Next time I'm in Blowing Rock. I will be back. read more

Really good and we wanted to go back but they are unfortunately closed on Sundays and Mondays and close early in the evening, which seems odd. The pizza was delicious. The chicken parm sandwich would have been terrific except the chicken had a strong dill flavor, like it had been marinated in pickle juice. This would have been great for some applications but was off-putting for a chicken parmesan setting. The take out food options seemed pretty enticing and I wish had had a chance to try one. They did a nice job making the inside live up to the "fabled" name but I think a little bit more would help them decide if they're "fabled" pizza vs a classic Italian chef/red and white tablecloth situation - both are fine, it just dilutes the brand a little bit. Fabled Pizza and Myers Kitchen is like stepping into another world! I absolutely loved the details in decoration from just about every form of media. The pizza are all named after different characters and just as delicious as they are creative. I ordered the Honeydukes pizza (a Harry Potter reference).
