With Patriot, communication was stellar throughout. After I submitted a quote request online, I received an email back within 24 hours with a very reasonable quote. I had a couple of questions and the rep (Allison) was great. She even suggested putting some extra information in the notes about where to do the pick-up and drop-off (something that was completely messed up by the other company). On the day of the pickup, the driver texted me to let me know exactly when he would be there (the other company messed that up too). We talked about the best place to do the pickup and he went to the place that I suggested (the other company insisted on an illegal and dangerous location even though I told them there was a safer and legal spot just around the corner). I asked the Patriot driver to give me his best estimate on the drop off date because I needed to book a flight. He told me he would text me after picking up the other the cars. And he did!!! He arrived on the date he said he would. He texted me about where he thought he could do the drop off and I was able to suggest a better location within walking distance of my house. In short, they did everything they promised, with excellent communication throughout. I will never use anyone else.

Big mistake. Here's what happened: -I place order, am charged more than agreed on. -I try to cancel, I should be allowed to do this per the terms. By the way, this is only a few hours later, and I am placing the order a month in advance. -Henry takes that personally, and yells at me over the phone, makes it strangely personal?? -Threatens to steal my car (put a lien on it) just because I asked to cancel. -Once I threaten to call my bank, he says he'll refund me in an attempt to prevent me from calling my bank (over the phone he was very scared of me calling my bank). He does not refund me. -I call my bank and the person assures me I have an extremely strong case for being refunded. He practically begged me to not file a chargeback with my bank. Begged. If you've been scammed by him, I highly recommend calling your bank. Though, after writing this review, he will probably change that behavior because he is a highly manipulative person. Every single time I pointed out that he is scamming people or doing something wrong, he played the victim. Classic DARVO manipulation behavior. Henry belongs in a Netflix crime documentary. Shawn used to run this company, and did a good job, that's why you see all the five star reviews. He left, and ever since, Henry has been scamming people out of their money and using Chatgpt to seem more reasonable in the reviews. Please see the attached screenshots to get a sense of what he's actually like once you pay your hard earned money. Just look at the RECENT reviews, which are mostly one star. If you have been scammed by Henry, I would recommend (and I cannot emphasize this enough), CALL YOUR BANK. I have also filed a complaint with the FTC and my attorney general, and you can too. I am preparing a legal fight as I am a law student and that would be simple for me to do, but not everyone can afford such a thing.

I initially spoke with a woman named Kay and stayed in contact with her daily--sometimes multiple times a day. After confirming everything and providing all required information, I was told I would receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. That never happened. No email, no call, no text. A week before the scheduled pickup, I started calling daily. Every time I was told that only Kay could help me because she was "handling my account" and that she would call me back. She never did. Today is Friday, 1/2/26, the very first day of my scheduled pickup window (1/2-1/4), and I still had zero contact from the company. When I called again, I got the same excuse--that Kay would call me back. I refused to wait and demanded to speak with a manager. After being put on hold, a man answered and immediately interrupted me, saying he didn't understand why I was on the line and that he was holding to speak with a manager because his car was scheduled for pickup today and nothing had been confirme. Apparently, my call had somehow been crossed. I had to call back again. I was finally transferred to a manager named Leiza, who admitted my information was in the system but no truck was available. She also stated that I was the fourth person she spoke with that day experiencing the same issue. That alone says everything. She told me she would "do her best" but didn't want to mislead me--and that if she did find a driver, it wouldn't be until next week, completely outside my scheduled window. Once a shipper was contracted the price went up, but David at SACD worked with me to get the price back down. The vehicle was shipped in a reasonable amount of time, and I was given a link to track the transport. I would use Ship A Car Direct again, and I do recommend them.

We moved up our pickup date to be more flexible but I had to call multiple times to make sure they met our deadline. All the brokers that you request quotes from all tell you how simple and sure they can do it for X price. I got multiple quotes and Ship a Car Direct came back with the lowest one. We were quoted $1300 for an open carrier. The final cost ended up being $1700 which was fine but it just seemed like they low balled to get your business but then the reality is they have to up the price or they can't find someone to accept the car and actually pick it up. I'm happy the carrier that picked up our car did a great job in transporting it. I hope to never have to ship another car again, though.
