My friend and I were so excited to finally experience the head spa we've been seeing all over social media. We decided to give this place a try and honestly, I wanted this to be 5 star but unfortunately, we came out feeling a little disappointed. The place and staff were nice but thought the service itself was nothing special. For $140, I would think our hair will be blow dried after the service but no, we came out of the appointment with wet hair and confused faces. I may have been watching too many videos but thought the actual service itself was mediocre. Don't get me wrong, the lady that did my hair was really pleasant but I was expecting the service to be AMAZING and out of this world experience! I may have expected too much from the videos I've seen of other places. Throughout the service I was waiting for that wow factor and it never came. I was awake the whole time wondering if it'll get better. They also did this hair analysis in the beginning which I thought was cool. They sold me on this additional sebum product which didn't really make that much difference after (I don't blame them, it may just be my hair), which is another reason why I came out a little disappointed. I wanted to love this experience, but it came up short. Booked the head spa for 3 of us and we all left feeling disappointed. Pros - Staff is very friendly, place is spacious and well laid out. For the few minutes my scalp was actually massaged, it was great. Appointment started on time, even a few minutes early. Cons - reserved 3 - 60 minute deep relaxation Japanese Head Spa services and new clients get an extra 10 minutes massage. We were expecting 70 minutes. We were taken back at 2:58 and paying at 3:53. We didn't even get 60 minutes and somehow it went from what I booked to a purifying scalp care treatment for me and two other different treatments for my friends. . What I booked was $120.00 and this upgrade was $140.00. They move very fast and after looking at your scalp, you are shown a card with 4 options and no mention of it costing more. It felt as if one was selected based on what your hair needed (dandruff, soothing, oily, etc) and it was part of the service. The actual treatment was maybe 30 minutes since they scan your scalp when your appointment starts and scan your scalp after. With tip I paid 168.00 and this was maybe worth 90.00. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't the fantastic experience I was looking to receive. read more

I wanted to love this place so badly! I had heard about Japanese Head Spa treatments from a friend who had experienced this in Japan. When i found this place that offered this service, i was thrilled! I love scalp massages, but i was also very interested in the advertisement that this treatment would be helpful with dry, itchy scalp as well. I don't have dandruff, oily hair, etc...i don't color, use harsh products, blow dry or iron my hair, but still oftentimes my scalp feels irritated and itchy. I was under the impression that this treatment would include some oils, or products that would calm and soothe my scalp...instead i left with my scalp just as itchy and irritated as before, if not more. The technician, Haruka Y did a great job on my scalp massage and shampoo, BUT it was definitely not worth $140! I received a nice massage and shampoo which was worth maybe $40 tops. As i said, i REALLY did want to love this experience, and had my scalp also felt moisturized and soothed, i would have been happy, but sadly it was not worth the cost:/ read more

Haruka is amazing! She is very gentle and attentive to all your needs before and after the service. I really appreciated her going above and beyond every time especially as I've only had lashes done 2 times. Recently I went for a lash removal with a DIFFERENT lash technician (NOT Haruka) and it was extremely uncomfortable. I understand there may be slight discomfort as there's a solution that takes off the lashes but I've never had my eyes burn before. I was trying my best to not say anything but I stopped her a few times as it burned so bad. Afterwards I did a tint and lash lift as I had a trip coming up but when I got home my lashes were sticking up in different directions which seemed broken. I went back the next day to have the lash lift redone with Haruka. I explained the situation and she said it was safe to do even though I had the lift done the day prior. She explained my lashes had different layers so that may be the reason why my lashes lifted weirdly. I really appreciated her for going above and beyond once again. I was more than happy to pay for my lash lift the 2nd time as well since I was receiving a service which included a 30% or 35% tip each time. Even though Haruka is amazing, I won't be returning here for my future lash appointments. It almost felt a "hey this is a you problem" and they didn't even try to make the situation better even though they knew what happened the day prior. read more

I came for a classic eyelash on Thursday, September 9, 2021. It cost me 100$ for the lash. The person who did my class name Yuri C or Miku L, I forgot. She hurt my eyes really bad during the eyelash procedure. When I got home, my eyes got hurt and irritates, can't sleep. I asked her for a refund but she said she couldn't return the money. what the fuck! I totally wasted 100$ and 10$ tip for her. I shouldn't give her the tip - 10$. I will never come back. I have to take my eyelash out by myself cause I got itching and irritate by the clues. She applied the fake lashes so near my root so it caused irritation that i couldn't sleep. I just finished eyelash extension at the store this afternoon, and I think the owner should make some progress about their service. First, the tap you're using to cover customers' eye is way to strong to our skin! It's so painful when the technician pull off all the taps from my eye! I really think you should STOP using this kind of tap.Not only painful but also getting wrinkle to our skin. Second,I didn't know the name of the lady who did the service to me, but maybe she needs more time to practice. Cuz she either pulled my real lash or she actually poked my eyelid with the tool three times! Even it happens so quick but still hurts and making me so nervous during the whole time. But at least your glue is good,I think. Not smoky at all, didn't feel any irritation when I opened my eyes. I still want to support your business, because there aren't so many choice in Torrance can find someone operates the extension suited for Asian's eyes.
