Absolutely unacceptable experience at Fox Jewelry in Ventura. I came in with a buyer to not only sell my peice of jewelry, but also have the buyer resize the ring with the store. A staff member confidently told me (IN FRONT OF MY BUYER) that my IGI-certified 4CT lab-grown diamond was fake and "for sure Cubic Zirconia", even after I demonstrated the paperwork. After more staff members took a look, they come back to confirm it WAS actually a lab diamond (like I tried to explain!) That level of contradiction is beyond unprofessional and completely destroyed trust in the middle of a sale. On top of that, they tried to quote me around $3,000 to "rebuild" the ring because the band is thin, which felt wildly inflated. However, another person on the floor was much kinder and explained that this was due to the professional grade. Either way, she was much more informative than the other person that did not know the difference between a CZ and a diamond. This was embarrassing, frustrating, and handled terribly. I would not trust their judgment. Get a second opinion somewhere else. read more

I have worked with Fox Fine Jewelry related to several jewelry items this year and all were handled very professionally, in a timely fashion and communication was great. They have a great selection and their sales associates are very knowledgeable. I sold jewelry and gold/silver to them, and used that value towards purchasing another ring. It turned out the new ring setting (made by an outside manufacturer) had structural flaws that they recognized, addressed, and worked with insurance to allow for making a brand new ring using the original stones. Throughout they have been fair, transparent and adhered to deadlines provided. I have also had repairs and sizing done with them, they do it all. Located in the heart of Main Street Ventura-easy access either through the back alley entrance (with a few parking spaces) or the free parking structure also behind the shop/alley. Absolutely love this store! So much bling! The young lady who helped me was so nice and professional... I needed some prong work on my diamond ring and heard great things about Fox! The gal who greeted me was very helpful...she looked at my ring closely then decided to have the jeweler/repair guy look at it as well. I felt like they were being very thorough before giving me a proper estimate. My ring has a flower cluster of diamonds and a center stone. A couple weeks prior I had another place give me an estimate and theirs was much higher-it included more work than what was needed, suggesting I get all the prongs redone... Fox was very thorough with examining each setting and concluded what was necessary, (definitely not the whole ring). It cost me $100 less than the other estimate and this included a Rhodium dip!! (So about $200 less) My ring was ready for pick up several days before when they originally said and let me say it's gorgeous! So happy! I saw a set of earrings I really love so she offered to add it to a wish list since I now have an account set up! Well ya! And for peace of mind fyi they take pictures of the jewelry you leave with them, insure it at their cost, and keep it in their vault! I highly recommend coming here! read more

Sorry this is going to be a long one. For the last 8 years my brother and I have been taking care of our parents. We've had my mom's jewelry box sitting in a shed for over 5 years when my brother said we need to do something with it. We went through it took out everything that had sentimental value and put the rest into a box. My brother said he heard an ad on KHAY for Fox Jewelers and much to my chagrin we made an appointment. We went down Yesterday with our box of items and Debbie Fox sat with us for 3 hours Weighing and testing everything we brought in so we could have a baseline on where to start. We were not sure but wanted something for each of the girls when she told us about Heirloom jewelry. After figuring out the value and Debbie finding a ring we could take enough stones from for 9 items that's what we did. Luckily my brother agreed and now we have 9 special hearts (some with gold chains some with silver) for each of the girls with a stone from my mom's last Wedding Band. I really want to make clear that if you need any jewelry or repairs (they are fixing my wedding band as we speak) you should go to FOX jewelry! We never felt pressured or less than she knew what we had to spend and showed us options in that range no pressure to spend more in fact she came up with options so we could stay in our price range.
