Faccio has been expanding - their original location is in Cupey, a neighborhood of San Juan. They have locations in Carolina and Guaynabo as well. I've been eating at the original location since I was a child, and their pizza has always been a fave of mine. I do miss their paper menus, when I was a child I would draw all over them. Ignoring the fact that it's attached to a hotel (which doesn't give it the best ambiance) this is a decent place to grab a pie. The italian sausage and wheat crust are both delish, but watch out if you order garlic - there will be a lot, and it WILL dominate the pizza! The delivery was quick but the pizza dough was raw and the chicken wings tasted and looked like they had been reheated in a microwave. Best food and SERVICE I've had while in Puerto Rico. We ordered the sampler appetizer which had 3 types of wings and some pizza logs (crust filled with cheese and pepperoni). The wings were cooked perfectly and really juicy, some of the best wings I've ever had. We also ordered a bacon "8 Slice - Grande" pizza, which was the best bacon pizza I've ever had. Normally it would be hard to give a pizza joint 5 stars, but the service here was top notch and extremely fast. Our total bill was $35, which is the cheapest and best meal we've had in Puerto Rico. Who'd think you'd get really good Italian food in the heart of San Juan? Definitely not a Jersey Girl like me, but my friends and I were pleasantly surprised. After a not-so-tasty and overpriced dinner at Mi Casita the night before, we were a bit wary of the restaurants near our hotel. We ventured out through the neighborhood to do some sightseeing, and upon the recommendation of the hotel's bartender, we decided to try Faccio. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We started with salads and the tastiest Italian dressing ever! I ordered the eggplant parmesan, and it was delicious! A couple of the other girls ordered pizza, which I also tried - it was really good! My friend also ordered the tres leches cake for dessert and it was also really good! Unfortunately this pizza is not even as good as frozen supermarket pizza. I'm in the pizza business in NYC , they do;t even make their own dough. They use pre made shells for pizza dough. This place was not worth any of our time here in pr. I ordered delivery to our hotel room. First they said it would take 40 minutes, which is fine, and it did take that long. We ordered the bruschetta bread and a grande chorizo pizza. When the delivery man arrived he didn't have change for my money and he delivered a pepperoni pizza and the bread was just some salsa and garlic bread. The pizza was all cheese and barely any sauce. Called in for room service . Pretty good pizza for PR and the convenience was perfect ! Had a long day and wanted to have it delivered and it came in a timely manner . If you want true PR experience pizza I recommend ordering the jibarra awesome ! We also had the cheese but it was basic . I did not think I would be eating pizza in PR but this place has an awesome pie. The thin wheat crust and the fresh toppings were perfect. I am not a big fan of pizza but this is one of the best I have ever had. The mango frape was full of natural flavor and is must try. Service was quick for the lunch rush hour. read more

Faccio's was at some point an innovator, one of the first Pizza establishments in Puerto Rico. That was 30 years ago. Today Faccio grips on to its reputation like a washed up celebrity clings on to its past laurels, without every revisiting their craft. Perhaps the lack of fresh ingredients, toasted dry herbs and copious amounts of cheese were once viable solutions for the absences of quality ingredients. But today there is no excuse for perpetuating a stale, greasy, and bland formula and on top passing it off as one of Puerto Rico's most treasured culinary institutions. read more

Best food I've had in Puerto Rico because 1. It's super fast, at all other places I've waited 45-90 min for food, waited about 15 min here. 2. The bacon pizza is super tasty, even compared to pizza joints in mainland US the pizza here is pretty great, the chicken wings are a must have too. 3. Gave it one star because I had to.. Came on a Sunday night, not busy, we didn't even get acknowledged at the door for a good 10 minutes while every staff member saw us standing there. Apparently it's "seat yourself", but how are we supposed to know that. Then the waiter comes to the table and tosses the menu on the table and walks away.. says nothing. Comes back 10-15 minutes later asking if we are ready to order (still have no drinks, and I arrived thirsty and starving) he gets our drink order AFTER we order food.. then instead of walking straight to the drink station, he walks to the computer and starts shooting the shit with someone else.. I'm sitting there watching him. About to say something.. and he starts to walk toward the drinks, so good.... too bad he passes it up at snail pace, walking past it as if he has nothing to do. I finally walked over to the drinks with intentions to serve myself and he acknowledges me. All of this happened before we even got our food... I left an earlier review of this place saying that they are amazing! I would like to post another review now. I have ordered from this place over 10 times now. (I do love the pizza). They have messed up my order at least half of those times. I ask them to repeat everything back and they rush me off of the phone and sure enough, ruin the order. They corrected it the one time that I asked them to (they brought me a plan pizza with no toppings) - but who wants to wait another hour+ to eat? Our waiter told us to sit wherever we wanted. The restaurant was very clean and not full at 6pm on a Sunday. We ordered a large house salad and a medium pizza and two margaritas. I have no idea where these positive reviews are coming from. Honestly, they must be paid shills. I cannot speak on the service as I ordered my pepperoni pizza 'to-go'. This is the BLANDEST mediocre pizza I have EVER had. I never leave internet reviews, but this pizza inspired me to sign up for Yelp to warn others. AVOID at all costs. The directions say it's 2 mins away from our hotel .... So we followed it and it lead us into a dark abandoned street. We asked a parking lot security where the place was and she said it was 15 mins away, driving. Maybe it was our fault but than again we just followed the direction we got off here. As I am currently staying at the WYNDHAM TRYP HOTEL, In Isla Verde, Puerto Rico - And - We noticed the FACCIO PIZZA POS on our Desk, we thought that a quick pizza sounded like a good idea. We were scheduled to listen to an Internet Conference at 8:00 PM, so we phoned The Faccio Pizza location downstairs in the Wyndham Tryp Hotel and tried to place our order. (BUYER BEWARE - READ THE OTHER REVIEWS ALSO) WELL the Female Faccio Staff Member, on the phone, could not hear us, no matter how loud we spoke, no matter how we moved the phone. Well OK - let's try this call instead on the HOTEL LAND LINE in the Hotel Room - but even that was a challenge for the FACCIO Female Staff Member. Finally, Our Order was Placed and She repeated what we wanted - So We thought We were Good To Go. Then, just before we ended the conversation, We Asked the Female Faccio Staff Member about the Special of the Day that was advertised on their Web Site. WELL - the Daily Special was added and then they Female Staff member gave us the Total - Which was really out of the Ball Park. I told her - that is too high and it is the wrong amount. Then I heard her say to me, that the 'DAILY' Special ends at 4:00 PM. I said that is NOT what your Web Site says, AND the POS in the Hotel Room refers the Guests to the Web Site. The Female Faccio Staff Member gave us some very weak excuse. We thought - at that moment - that this was a Very Very Poor way of doing business. WELL - OK - lets move on. We told the Female Faccio Staff Member to simply make the Large Pizza with Extra Tomato Sauce, Onions and Extra Cheese. At this point it was 7:40 PM and we were told the Pizza would arrive in 20 minutes. OK that works, the Pizza should arrive before our Internet Conference. Well, out of concern for what just took place, I then phoned the Lobby and Spoke with the Person at the Front Desk (Stephanie) at the Wyndham Tryp Hotel. WE discussed the problems with the AC in my room, and how the noise last night was so loud that I could barely sleep, we then spoke about the Faccio Pizza Order that was pending. Stephanie offered to phone the Faccio Pizza Staff and check on the Pizza - We thought that was in fact a good idea. WELL... when Stephanie came back on the line, she told me that they did not even have the order in THEIR SYSTEM that I had ordered. REALLY !!?? - Stephanie told me that she spoke with the FACCIO Manager and placed our order for the 2nd time. Finally, we were certain that Our Order was Placed and Pizza would be arriving. When the Pizza arrived I checked the Pizza. First, I looked at the top of the Pizza and saw almost no onions, then I took one of the pieces and lifted the cheese to find ALMOST NO SAUCE - it was almost DRY !!(?) Seriously ??? This was NOT-OK - I handed the Pizza back to the delivery person and said that the Pizza was awful and NO Thank You - Instructing him to return it to the Faccio Pizza Store. He left and then shortly there after the Female Staff Member of Faccio called and asked if we wanted to receive another Pizza???! I stated simply and clearly - Absolutely Not, the Pizza was awful and the service was even worse. No Thank You - the time was then almost 9:00 PM. I ordered delivery to the hotel. OK, I'm at the Ritz and I have a hard time spending hundreds on a meal with my 2 kids anywhere, when all the 9 year old wants is pizza. So, I ordered a small cheese pizza (good for one person), and ordered what I thought were 2 parmesan sandwiches but came & were charged for as meals (with spaghetti & garlic bread)--and 3 sodas, of course. No big deal. I'm on vacation and my 16 year old is eating the extra. $46 included $6 tip and everyone happy. So was I because I am extremely picky about Italian food and the Eggplant Parmesan had the cheese baked on to a crusty brown, the eggplant was perfectly ripe and sliced thin, and made not too breaded and with sauce not too sweet, runny, or tart. Really excellent. And my 16 Y.O., usually very picky, ate every bite of his chicken parmesan (and the 9 year old just left the crust of the pizza, as usual). It's not Brooklyn Pizza, but it's perfectly fine for vacation, where the goal is time with the kids relaxing at the pool. I'll order again. Came fast, too. The tomato sauce tasted like watered down ketchup and the pasta was soggy. The meatballs were okay but everything else (veggie pasta, salad even dessert) was just plain awful. Was not expecting gourmet dining but somewhat enjoyable and edible and this place failed me in both. Better choices within walking distance from this place. never again!!! read more
