I don't mind, but I wish I had a heads up, so definitely come prepared and plan your day around it. Also, booking is based on experience level and I chose a more junior tech, which is probably why it took longer. Next time I'd book with a higher master. I did get a small nick while they were cleaning my cuticle on one hand, which made me a little nervous, but they sanitized everything right away. They also started about 20 minutes late, but offered tea and chocolates which was a nice touch along with a gift bag since it was my first time at Yarco. I was immediately upsold an eyelash lift, which I did not need but on that day I had the time and that sounded like a nice treat. The entire process was super relaxing and enjoyable. Their reclining beds, soft blankets, and overall setting were a vibe. I loved it. On the other hand, the results were not great. My eyelash tech mush have used a really small rod because my eyelashes are so curly that they are tucked into the hood of my eye. Now it looks like I have very short and very curly eyelashes. Definitely look worse than when I walked in and they are uncomfortable. The sad part is that I have to wait until it resolves on it's own if I don't want to risk damaging them. I feel like with a little more training, this could be a great eyelash spot or even an ASMR spa.

Speaking of communication, I was never told not to wear makeup not even in the emails. As I mentioned this was my first time getting lashes so I had no way of knowing. It is your responsibility to ensure all your customers get the same, quality service. Meaning your employees should have mentioned the mascara was going to be an issue and did their best to remove all of it, BOTH times. Instead they took shortcuts, rushed and got chemicals in my eye. You clearly prefer to pocket $150 instead of having happy customers that come back with friends. Not how you run a successful business. ------------ I could not have been more disappointed with their service. One star is too forgiving. I originally wanted to cancel my appt. on Friday bc I had other obligations and the receptionist said I would be charged the full price even if I didn't go. So I went. Big mistake. After an hour and a half, I had my new lashes. They looked great ... for less than 12 hours. I went to bed and woke up with one eyelid missing half the lashes and my eye being visibly irritated, sore, and red. This was my first time getting lashes so I was pretty over it at this point. I called wanting them to take them off and give me my money back. The receptionist insisted they could fix it. She blamed it on the low humidity not allowing the glue to stick properly. IF humidity was going to be such a problem (which it's not here in the Bay) why did you book an appt?? So there I went again, Saturday morning, to have them refill the patches. Next morning, the other eye's lashes are falling off! All I want is a refund for this terrible service. These lashes are not what they promised. I cannot be going every day to get them refilled but they're falling off every day! And I know 2-3 lashes falling off a day may be normal but This clearly is not normal. The technicians clearly need more training because how can I be having the same experience after two different technicians?! Now I'm forced to walk around with terrible, uneven lashes that will probably only last a week--if that! And on top of everything, I have to go get my eye checked out because the first technician got glue or something inside my eye.

Booking was super easy online, with lots of availability and reasonable pricing. I booked the classic lash extension set. Note: entrance to the studio is three flights of stairs up and all the way at the end of the walkway. The studio is clean, comfortable, and very aesthetic. My lash tech was incredibly sweet, calming, and welcoming. She actually took the time to go over different styles with me - asking about my preferences for length and curl, and even showing visual examples so I could get exactly the look I wanted/be able to visualize. I've never had that level of care before and appreciated it. Since I don't get lash extensions regularly, she also explained the differences between styles and lengths to help me understand what would suit me best. During the service, I felt pretty relaxed - she was super gentle, especially when applying the tape under my eyes (something that's usually uncomfortable/irritating elsewhere). The whole process took ~ an hour and the results were perfect! Will def come back when I have special events.
