I came for a facial about a year ago, and immediately signed up for the monthly membership. I am obsessed now. I've had several estheticians and they've all been amazing. Not only is it incredibly relaxing, but my skin hasn't felt this good since my early 20s when you don't have to work for it. Everyone is ridiculously friendly, which has not always been the case with spas I've been to in the past. I just get billed monthly and can use my premium facial any time during the month. When I'm feeling fancy, I'll add on a vitamin c mask or a dermaplaning. I get excited before each one without fail. It's like I'm treating myself, but it's also good for me. They also have great products and are all super knowledgeable about them and how they work for my skin specifically. They don't force them on you though, which is also different from spas I've been to in the past. They just let me know what would be good for me and they'll note them on my account if I don't get them right away in case I want to try them later. Updating my review from before. I had another hydrafacial and derma planning done by Ashley and it was amazing! I bought the peel package and I'm excited to get started on getting rid of my adult acne. I recently revived a hydra facial and derma planning. Everything was wonderful, but she only did the hydra facial on my T zone. I have had hydra facials before and they did my entire face, and for $17I would expect them to. When I asked the esthetician about it she told me that they were told to only do the T zones. I was looking forward to receiving many more services, but I'm concerned with the education that the estheticians are receiving here. read more

After moving from NYC I was really worried that I wouldn't be able to find another place in Austin with a monthly facial membership - face to face W69th has been my saving grace! Not only is the monthly membership an AMAZING deal for those that want to keep their skin looking glowing year round, they do a fantastic job and I have seen most if not all of the estheticians. I trusted them with my pre-wedding regimen and Xana is a wonder worker - my skin has never been so dewy and was absolutely glowing on my wedding day. Booked Dermaplane and hydrafacial. Esthetician had no idea what she was doing, couldn't get machine to work, was very rushed and didn't cover half my face. Products felt and smelled like cheap bath & body works lotion and oil rubbed all over your face, nothing dermatologist grade would have scents like thats. got to the end (after 15 min) then they just had me sit under a red LED light, which I have at home and wasn't what I was there for. Then they realized they forgot to do dermaplaning which I booked and said I'm not allowed to do dermaplane after the hydrafacial. So now I'm left with a bad rushed facial and can't get a dermaplane or a real facial before my wedding this weekend. Go to somewhere professional with legit products and staff that knows what they're doing. Would have been better off doing a peel and red light at home. Absolutely not worth $200. read more

I'm confused as to why I haven't written a review for Face to Face since I've been going here on and off since maybe about 2015. Initially, I bought a monthly membership for the facials, but I ended up canceling it after 6 months or so because I don't like to be locked into monthly memberships. That being said, the facials were good when I was receiving them regularly. Since then, I go to get my eyebrows waxed every couple of months, but that's really the only service I do. The waxing is affordable, but the facials aren't if you don't buy the membership. In fact, they are marked way up. That's why I gave them 4 out of 5 stars. I would get facials there if I didn't have to be locked into a monthly fee, but since they don't, I go other places. read more

I've never been happy with my lashes. Mascara was my only option for most of my life. Last month I discovered extensions! I went in for lashes and went back for a facial the next week. I got a series of three chemical peels (my first time ever!!) from this med spa and I had a good experience every time. The tech that did my peel every time was very knowledgeable and although I did feel like they were trying to sell me products, they weren't incredibly pushy. Like any peel, I was red after and it took about a week or so to get back to normal. Afterwards, fresh and glowing skin was revealed and I was happy with the result. read more

I'd like to first start by giving a shout-out to my esthetician, Morgan. She helped me through my first facial experience here at Face to Face Spa & she was absolutely amazing. I let her know I was brand new to this side of the beauty world & she wasted no time in educating me on all aspects of the process & everything she'd be doing. She also walked me through the various steps as we moved from different stages of the facial, to the different tools she'd be using & assured me she'd avoid products with tea tree oil since I'm allergic. As a new guest, I was lucky to have received their deal for a facial & chemical peel OR microdermabrasion for the member price. Can't beat that! I chose the microdermabrasion since chemical peels have a bit of down time associated with them, according to my esthetician. I'm not sure where facials & this microdermabrasion stuff has been all my life, but I'm SO glad we finally found each other. I have oily, acne-prone skin with hormonal breakouts (the toughest acne to get rid of). Morgan also helped me find an SPF specially formulated for sensitive, acne-prone faces after I'd been looking for a few years now. Thank you so much, Morgan!! It pained me to say no to their membership option but with student loans & other such millennial money issues, I had to turn them down. My time here will definitely be a treat yoself kind of thing, but I will be returning! read more

I've been going to Face to Face for almost a year now. I originally went to get a Premium facial with my sister, just to treat ourselves before we went on a trip and I didn't really plan on returning right away because I wasn't a religious spa-goer. But that first visit was so wonderful, I signed up to become a member (which is great because you get monthly facials at reduced rates). I love the spa itself. It's beautiful, extremely welcoming with outstanding customer service, right when you walk in the door. I've gone to several estheticians, and I've actually enjoyed my experience with each of them (which has been rare for me from past spas I've gone to). All of the estheticians are extremely knowledgeable and know exactly what they are doing. It's such a comforting experience that it's literally the only monthly appointment I look forward to keeping. I've now gone to Aurora for a few months, and she is great. She's so sweet, focuses each appointment on what is wrong with my skin at that given time, and always helps me with tips on how to improve my routine. I have tricky skin, and I haven't always enjoyed getting facials as much as I do now because I didn't always feel like my skin improved *that* much with each facial. It just didn't seem "worth" it for me, so to speak. My attitude completely changed with Face to Face. I always feel like my skin looks much better after each facial, not to mention I feel fabulous after each appointment. They offer an extensive list of services from standard facials to chemical peels and vitamin c masks to eyelash extensions. My monthly membership is for their Premium facial and I absolutely LOVE it. I've also gotten a couple of Vitamin C masks and one chemical peel. I love the Vitamin C mask. I feel like my skin looks MUCH brighter after each time I get one. I absolutely recommend Face to Face for any of their services. If I could give them higher than 5 stars, I would. read more

Ehhhhh, idk. I'm really conflicted- and this four star review is basically because the staff and atmosphere was fabulous. I'd give the results of my dermaplaning a 2 if I could. Atmosphere: there's a little parking In the front, but keep driving and you'll find a garage full of parking. Just a tip for anyone who's new to Austin :). Upon arrival, I could help but stare at everything around me. The decor, furniture, all right down to the little dove chocolates they offer are wonderful. I was quickly checked in and offered a beverage. Girls were all nice. Service: Now for the dermaplaning. I was in town and had a Groupon for dermaplaning. I've never done it before, so was a bit scared that a sharp knife was hitting my skin. Upon entering a private room, I laid on a nice heated bed and soft music playing in the background. Amazing! The lady who did it was super super sweet, talking to me throughout the procedure. She occasionally put moisturizer on my face. Afterwards, my skin felt super soft but I noticed that there was a lot of "peach fuzz" and hair around my lip area and my chin area. I was upset because I really wanted to give this place 5stars. Maybe come here for a facial like other reviewers said. Glad I got a Groupon and didn't pay full price. Overall though, I enjoyed the experience. read more

I've been coming to Face to Face at 6th for about 3 months now, doing a series of chemical peels with Nicole to correct some lingering hyperpigmentation (I used to have pretty bad acne) and for overall skin health. I really couldn't ask for better quality treatment. My peels have been working steadily but gradually every time, and Nicole has just been incredible. She's let me know what she's doing every step of the way, answers every question I might have, and just really cares. Also she is a virtuoso with extractions! There's a certain amount of trust you have to have with chemical peels, especially as they start getting more intensive, and I can quite honestly say I don't trust any other business or esthetician with my skin like I do with Face to Face and Nicole. I have absolutely loved my facials and peels and even became a member because I was so happy with the service. However, I am really dissatisfied with customer service and reception. I have now requested appointments twice- once for botox and another for a peel. For both services, I was told I would receive a call or email back and never did (I had to follow up on my own twice now to get in for an appointment). It is truly frustrating when I am paying for a membership that I have to follow up to even get an appointment. I brought up to the receptionist that she never called me bag and all she said was sorry- Although, based on tone, I don't think they actually cared. read more

Lovely space, close to home, free parking. What's not to like? The newest Face to Face is the best one yet, with a serene environment. Wine and chocolate upon arrival? Why yes, thank you.... My facial was the premium? I think--at any rate, the one that costs $129. Worth every penny and my aesthetician Lindsey, was a doll. She was clearly a fan of her job and this conveyed in her positive and loving energy, right through her hands which clearly knew what they were doing and desired to give me the best experience ever. Honestly, best facial ever--I'm following Lindsey anywhere. So why not 5 stars? Aside from (it's almost impossible to get one from me) I noticed a couple of things that ruffled the feathers. Receptionist was pleasant and adorable, but there was a bit of hard sell after my facial. Maybe that won't occur on visit 2, but it is something I noticed at the Avery Ranch location (and it kept me from returning--take note, management.) Also, the business card in my treatment room had the owners' name on it. I felt offended and would have greatly preferred a card from the lady who delivered my service. After my treatments my face was as soft and bright as ever! After the first visit I went back for their grand opening party and it was nice. My appointment in July was with Alysa and I had a facial and microderm.
