Owner is good, but the substitute person I had today made my eyebrow sooo skinny - she asked if I wanted arched and I said to re-shape it/arched. I don't she understood enough English either bc she paused for a few seconds then said ok..... should've trusted my gut. I would think she'd be intuitive enough to assume I like my eyebrows thicker than super skinny if that's what I came with... also thick eyebrows are in ... but she made them half the thickness, took away the natural arch I had and made my eyebrows a straight line with the tail as the arch... so now I look mean. Basically I wish she communicated if she didn't understand. Today's my first time coming here. There's only one person doing the services so I had to wait a lil bit. My turn came and she was so nice. I expressed I had gone somewhere else and they ruined my brows. Waited months to finally have some hair grow back. I've been going here for years and years. I've loved it and they always are so sweet and my brows usually turn out great. However, my experience is now poor. The two ladies that normally get my brows on point aren't there anymore. And the new lady that did my brows the last two times did such a horrendous job. I gave her a picture told her exactly what I wanted it but she didn't listen. She made my brows noticeably uneven, arched it poorly, and she left hairs on my eyebrow to where the top looks so uneven and the corner arch is high so it looks like there is excess hair. I even told her to fix it and again how I wanted it, but she didn't listen. She's not good at all. I've been going here since I moved back to Garden Grove in April (I was going to Vinita's in Tustin because I lived near by). I usually get my eyebrows threaded every 3 weeks. I had my mustache threaded 3 weeks ago for the first time and today I decided to get my whole face threaded as well. I have major trust issues when it comes to dentists, doctors and basically most services. The service they provide me has been excellent and that's why I keep coming back. I never got the name of the woman who does the threading but she's nice. They're located in the same parking as Northgate Market. I would also like to add that my face is super soft and smooth now. This is my favorite threading place which I have been coming to for a while. They have good prices for great quality of work! There has never been a time where I have to wait more than 8-10 minutes. They make you feel comfortable throughout your whole experience. I pay $8 to get my eyebrows done or when I decide to do my whole face it's $25 (I know of places that charge your eyebrows even when you get the full face). I love that they always check with you in the middle of the process and trim the eyebrows perfectly. They also ask you at the end if you'd like soothing gel. They also have a stamp card. You should plan on waiting 20 to 30 minutes even with an appointment, they have a sign in sheet but most of the time they don't keep track of it and don't know who's next.. but the girls are very nice and they make sure you're satisfied with your eyebrows before sending you on your way. I've gotten my arms waxed here once, it was surprisingly painless and a nice experience. I've gotten a chemical peel once too, it smelled nice, very fast. My face was a little red afterwards but went away after 30mins. The actual "peeling" part actually lasted more than I wanted. She mentioned that 2-3 days but mine lasted a whole 8 days. :( but my skin was really nice afterwards. I just didn't want to be seen for 8 days.. I've gotten two facials done. I was in Santa Ana visiting some friends when we ran across this place. I opted for a "signature" facial, one galpal got a chemical peel and the other got threaded. My face has never looked or felt more beautiful (if I do say so myself)!! I appreciated the time she took discussing personalized care with me and the fact that I was not pushed to buy anything. Plus the acupressure was relaxing and wonderful. As for my girls... Isis's eyebrows were magnificently shaped and Angela was very happy with her peel, even a week later. So I went on Yelp to see which threading service has 4-5 stars. Hands down! I am impressed! I was so nervous and scared of how the pain will be compared to waxing. This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded and honestly I'm glad I chose this place to try it! (I couldn't do waxing anymore since my skin is very sensitive. After rushing over there right after work to make my 530pm appointment, the lady tells me she can't do a facial because she has another appointment at 615pm. She thought I said a peel when i made the appointment and started to explain to me that last time I came in that's what we talked about. Funny though since this was my first time there. I've been here many times to do my eyebrows. Threading continues to hurt more than waxing but it's worth it. Threading my eyebrows doesn't remove a layer of skin like waxing does! Tulasa does a fantastic job. She listens to you, is gentle, and tries to make it as painless as possible. Over the past few years, I have been trying to grow out my eyebrows but it has been impossible as my brow hair had stopped growing in after a certain point. My brows also aren't as thick as they once were. I even considered taking biotin because they were in such bad condition. I was beginning to lose hope and my brows were beginning to be a great pain in my ass that's until Tulasa was able to accomplish what I tried for years to do but could not. Tulasa threaded and shaped my brows in a way that made them appear more thick just as I have been trying to do. After Tulasa finished, I was amazed at how fuller and healthier my brows looked! I was stunned at the difference and surprised by her skills. It was a miracle that she was able to achieve this. For the longest time, I was very unhappy with the she appearance of my brows but now, I feel at ease with how they look all in part to Tulasa. What she was able to do was a real feat. I'm so thankful for her. She is a master of the eyebrow and the thread! P.S. They also have stamp cards. Remember to get your card stamped after each visit. I think after the 10th stamp your next threading will be free. Don't be afraid of the dark atmosphere. They don't turn on their lights in the daytime, which I actually prefer. I live about a minute away from Zibas and to save time you would think I would come here right? Nope. Instead I went to Vegas with bushy eyebrows.
