I'm writing this review for my girlfriend. She does not have yelp. She's been going to MND for at least five years but the last few times she's gone she comes home very unhappy about the service. There is a woman that works in there. Who does a great job and she used to get that person every time but the last two times she went in she gets this older lady and she said that she has very bad hygiene. She has really bad BO and she handles her very roughly when treading her eyebrows she kept hitting her nose and pulling on her forehead. My girlfriend told her that it was very uncomfortable and she kept saying she was sorry with a thick accent. She will no longer be going there. She's going to find a different place because of the hygiene issue and the way she's handled so beware. read more

The worst!! My eyebrows completely uneven, she took off the inside of my left brow. I am stunned. It will take months for it to grow back. I'm furious and all she said was sorry!!! Never again! Just be warned the older lady who wears the bright lipstick. Do Not let her service you. they will never get my business. I've been going to this place for years and have never had a bad experience until now. I didn't get the name of the lady who did my eyebrows today but I didn't recognize her. When she handed me the mirror to take a look I was shocked and said that was a lot thinner than I wanted. She said she kept the shape and didn't take anything off of the top...clearly. I didn't notice until afterward how irritated my skin looked and you can tell she clearly went way too high. There wasn't much that can be done, just wait for it to grow back, but I'm definitely hesitant to go back again once they do grow back. To start off, I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for 6 years now and this has never happened to me. I recently moved to the area so decided to try this place out, the girl who did my eyebrows last time did such a great job and was done in under 10 minutes which is typically the time it has always been for me. August Saturday 24th, I decided to go once again and this time the girl in the third chair did my eyebrows... I just saw a review was made, I wish I would've seen it earlier. This was the most painful eyebrow threading experience i've ever had, I could feel her dragging the thread across the top of my eyebrows, before doing the actual threading... it felt like she was giving me a paper cut over and over again. It felt like she was doing my eyebrows for a long time but I kept trying to tell myself it only felt long. After I checked the time It turned out she was threading my eyebrows for over 30 minutes. She made one of my eyebrows round and the other one squared. My eyebrows still burn as i'm typing this 9 hours later. read more

My mom, sister, and I have been coming here for years and Sami has always excelled our expectations. We've been to a few other places, but this is our favorite. Visited after a long break & now my brows are looking ON FLEEK. I said this before, but you won't be disappointed coming here, no matter who you get! My personal favorite is Eanu. I usually call the shop in advance and ask if she's working, and if not, what days will she be in. This time, Uma threaded my brows & I left happy! Be warned though, sometimes the two ladies working that day are busy and won't pick up the phone. I've called 5x before on different days and times and had it go to voicemail/a weird out of service line. First of all, I used to get my eyebrows done here when the lady working at the first chair as you go in still worked there a lot - but then one day when the lady at the third chair did my eyebrows, they were horrible. One of them was clearly bigger/thicker than the other. It wasn't even close. Ever since then I stopped having my brows done unless the lady at the first chair was there. I have photos...if they comment on my reviews I'll go ahead and upload photos with a time and day stamp plus my card change from that day with their business name. This is not a joke...one eyebrow was 50% thicker than the other, it is comical thinking about it but it wasn't funny that day, when I had to spend 10 minutes fixing it after I already paid to have it done. Again, there used to be a lady here who did a great job...worked at the first chair going in from the door; however, ever since she is there less or not at all sometimes and the one working at the third chair handles business, the place has been on a steady but sure decline both in work quality and customer service. Haphazard customer order, bad communication and even raising her voice at customers because she is overwhelmed. Being busy is a luxury not many businesses have and instead of appreciation, my daughter and I were publicly barked at because we questioned her jumping line with customers after waiting for 30 minutes. Completely unacceptable and rude, we will not be back! read more

I've been coming here for years! I've had brow stylists that do great and others that do mediocre work throughout the years. The owner is the best. She has artistic talent and shapes the brows beautifully. Since they reopened recently I have been 2 times and have had the different stylists and they have ALL done a great job! The salon is super clean and the stylists wear threading masks. They take great measures for COV safely including taking your temperature when you arrive. Service is by appointment only to keep the salon from being crowded. Highly recommend. read more

Wanted to try a new place for threading but the person that did my threading wasnt that great at all. She was getting busy but she made a stink face after finding out that i wanted to do a full face. She tried to have other people that came after me to go before me even though ive waited 36 minutes for my turn. Not happy with the service at all. She rushed to do my eyebrows and chin and lips and missed alot and didnt offer rose water. Definitely not coming back. I do not recommend this place at all read more

This used to be my favorite brow place. I don't recommend coming here unless you see Eanu or Jeet (she works at Mila Threading now). Christina poorly threaded my eyebrows. She thinned out my eyebrows way too much and it took 2 months to grow back!! Secondly, she took some skin off which hurt. I had painful scabs. read more

Nice women, made my eyebrows look great without making it crazy since I usually get it waxed somewhere else but my favorite spot/person was not available so here I was testing this place out. I'm picky about my brows and have gone to the same lady since I moved to California. I feel so dirty coming here but I have to say I am impressed. Loved this little place in fountain valley. They take walk in appointments and the place just looked clean and modern. Uma did my brows and I loved them! I didn't have any cuts whatsoever. first time here and first tome getting my brows done! forgot to ask for the lady's name unfortunately, but she was very gentle and nice!!! went on a Saturday afternoon and the wait wasn't too bad! it was $10 but $9 with my yelp check in (not including tip) they also give u a stamp card, so on your 10th visit there, u can get it done for free. it wasn't too painful and my lady gave me tips after she did my brows ! she was very experienced and asked me if it was my first time. had a bright attitude also. definitely would come again! read more

I've been going to this place for years with no issues. This review is solely based on my last visit. I asked for eyebrow and upper lip. There was a new woman there whom I'd never had before, Christina. She works really slowly. I wouldn't have minded if the results were great. Unfortunately they were not. Going slower makes it hurt more. When doing one of my eyebrows, I felt a strong pinch. It honestly felt like she struck blood. She didn't say anything, so I figured it was fine. She continued onto my upper lip and didn't show me my eyebrows. I thought this was strange since they usually show me my eyebrows before moving on. It wasn't until she was done with my upper lip that she apologized for the scratch on my eyebrow (see photo taken a few days later). It was burning from the witch hazel. It felt like a paper cut on my eyebrow. Additionally, I kept having to point out patches of hair she missed. She was wearing glasses, but I'm not sure how much they helped her. I had her go back to 3 different areas... and still had hair left on my upper lip. But I gave up. At the end, I asked if she was new. She hesitated to answer. She said she's been there for about 5 months but has worked other places. The hesitation in her response makes me think she hasn't been doing this long or she was let go from her previous place. No discount offered. No additional apology. I'll be back there, but will definitely avoid this woman. read more

M&D Eyebrow Threading is absolutely my #1 place to get my eyebrows done. I started coming to this place around last year because my cousin suggested it to me and I was so glad she did! The staff are super nice and do their job precisely. Whenever I go, I always try to get the owner to do my eyebrows because she gives me advice and is very accurate with her job. Since it's corona, the place was closed for a while, and that meant my eyebrows were growing in very fast, but I refused to clean my eyebrows up myself or get them done at another eyebrow place because I trust M&D way more. read more

So my eyebreezys were in desperate need of some grooming and thank god Yelp didn't fail me on this! My usual go to person at another threading shop was on vacation for 2 weeks so I needed to find another place ASAP. I came in and was the only one so I was a bit worried 'cause the other place I go to is always packed no matter what time of day. For me, getting my eyebrows done is just like getting my haircut, it's traumatizing if the person messes up even though they always say "don't worry the hair will grow back." As yelpers have stated this is a daughter & mom shop, I happened to get to be in the lucky hands of the mom (Pushpa). Pushpa worked her magic, she was really friendly as well and held a great convo. Usually most of these threading places the workers don't talk so I was glad how outgoing she was being it was my first time here. At the end my eyebrows looked better than ever before and she did a real clean job! Another reason for the definite 5 stars is that over the next couple of days I noticed I didn't get any breakouts around the eyebrow area :D Sometimes when the person is inexperienced and breaks the hairs it causes me to get some breakouts, but not here!! I was really impressed. They offer a stamp card here and yelpers if you check-in you get 10% off. The price for eyebrows is the same as everywhere else. My unruly eyebrows have grown out again and I was in dire need of reshaping, so I decided to check out this threading studio since it was located only steps away from the gym I frequent reqularly. And boy, my experience here was definitely not like any I've experienced. I signed in, sat in the chair, and expected to just lay back and proceed with the threading. But unlike any of the other shops, Eanu, my threader asked in detail on how I wanted my eyebrows to look and went step-by-step on how she was going to execute the perfect brow. Throughout the process she consulted with me on whether this was how I envisioned them to look and applied my comments consciously. I've been visiting this location for a couple of years now. They do a great job. Some places will give my eyebrows a feminine look. No matter who does my eyebrows here, I tell them I want a clean up, they leave my eyebrows looking natural and masculine. I normally visit at lunch time for immediate service. There are normally two people working so a short wait may occur. They are located next to several places to eat and shop if there is a wait. Relaxing clean atmosphere.
