Horrible people, the person to do the procedure had no clue on what to do. She didn't give ne her name short black hair tall lady. I wanted facial threads and she said she didn't know how it was done so she wanted to do lip fillers and I said are you nuts. No offer of a consultation. I arrived early and the receptionist was in another world. Couldn't remember my call and my confirmation via text. They basically threw me out. I question them as to why they needed my photo I'd and I'm guessing it triggered their suspicion of whatever. Can't imagine what. I have been having monthly treatments at another spa for over 2 years. My aesthetician recently retired and closed her small salon, so I was hoping to find a new one. I am juggling 2 jobs right now and it's really hard for me to get time off. I moved some things around and made an appointment at this place. When I showed up, the receptionist said they had no record of my appointment and they couldn't see me. I showed her the email confirmation I received from them and she said, "Sorry, can you come tomorrow?" The 2 receptionists then whispered something in Russian to each other (rude), she looked up again and said "Sorry". That was it. Everyone makes mistakes, but they were just so uncaring and flippant about it. This messed up my entire afternoon and their insincerity was not appreciated. Next time you mess up, try, "We are so sorry for our error. I'd like to make this right for you." is a better response than, "Sorry, come back tomorrow." Yes, you should be sorry. You lost what was going to be a regular monthly customer. I won't be coming back and I recommend anyone reading this to consider another spa. read more

I am so happy to say I am a regular at Faces Med Spa, and literally logged on here just to spread the word. I've loved in particular my dealings with Marina, as I always leave the office a younger and much happier version of myself. She is so deeply knowledgeable (board-certified) and skilled at facial anatomy and the minor or major tweaks that still leave you looking like yourself, but yourself a few years ago! Even if I risk sounding like an ad, I really had tried so many Botox and filler places before this one, that either underdo or overdo you and are unskilled or misleading, leaving you looking like a (broke) caricature of yourself. It's been such a blessing to finally find a powerful alternative: Faces Med Spa staff and Marina do not upsell you on a procedure she doesn't think you need, always consider your budget, and are highly skilled at treating multiple areas of the face and neck in a subtle but highly impactful fashion. I've never had Spock eyebrow or a plastic look at my face or any sort of complication -- the opposite, that people don't even know I've had any work or tweaks done at all, yet constantly compliment my "fresh" and natural youthful face (as reference, I am middle-aged so it's been high time for some youthfulness.) Not to mention the fantastic human beings she and everybody in the office are. You are treated like a friend, but never because of your wallet. I'm extremely disappointed on the Botox administered by Ella, RN. I had to come in twice to get it fixed and I'm still very unhappy with the results because I have to go in for a third time to adjust my eye brow droop (but may go elsewhere to get it fixed). I'm not new to Botox, know my face very well, and my forehead feels very heavy. I'm not happy with the results at all, I've also never had to return to a clinic to get any services fixed, this was the first time this had ever happened and because of the lack of skills, I highly advise you to go elsewhere. In my past experience, the injection spots would be marked with a white pencil of some sort, they would present me with a mirror and the amount of Botox in each spot were suggested in which I agreed with except for this place. They didn't mark or even counted or told me how much Botox was needed; it also hurt a lot more than what I'm use to. I usually get my services done In California and had it done in October of 2020 and really wanted to trust someone in NYC. When I go to California every 3-4 months, I just wanted to have one less errand to do and I had high hopes for this facility and was extremely disappointed. read more

I am thrilled with my results, and would recommend this med spa for Botox injections. I was injected by Ella, who did not rush and took the time to listen to my last horror experience before injecting. Ice was supplied after treatment. I followed up about 12 days later, and we are both very pleased with the results. I believe I've found my new spot for Botox! Thank you Ella! Location is easy to get to, clean inside. Small treatment room, but what in Manhattan isn't?! Although they are Russian, there was no language barrier. I generally do not tip for Botox injections (as it's not standard), but I was so pleased with my results that I did tip $50 cash when I went back for the follow up. To the owner, ny friends and I was treated very poorly when we came for our appointment... I made three appointments.When my friends and came for our services, they didn't have but one appointment... it was not my fault that whoever took the appointment made an error. But when we came to our appointment, we were treated very poorly by the aesthetician that was servicing everyone. She did not tell us to leave we left because of the way she was behaving and talking down to us. my friend wanted to come into the room to see how the procedure was done. She told us no that was not your practice. However, the you let the client before me have his friend accompanied him in the room for his procedure. I came here a little anxious, but left feeling calm and pleased with my decision to stop by. The office is very relaxing, you can have tea or coffee while you wait. I had a nice lady named Julia and she explained everything throughly beforehand. It is a good place to check out if you're just hoping to look a little more refreshed. I would definitely recommend this establishment. Lastly, I can understand Russian and I can assure people on Yelp that when my lady went to the receptionist to talk about something, while I was getting ready, they literally just chatted about shopping and the weather and I honestly did not hear them say anything about any clients. I can understand there is this natural impulse to think that if someone starts talking in their native language to their coworker, it must be because they want to talk about something in secret, but I didn't hear anything except regular banter. What a great experience from the moment you called to make the appointment until the moment that you walk away. The place is very clean and the customer service is on point. I had 40 units of Botox done on my forehead and .. I felt comfortable and all my questions and concerns were answered. The place is very clean and comfortable. The receptionists are thorough. I wouldn't say friendly and warm but they were not rude. I purchased a Groupon which they do charge tax for once you get there. Ella did a great job. She checked in frequently to make sure she was achieving my goal. In past med spa experiences I've had my practitioner chat me up, answer questions, give me after care directions, advice and just be very friendly. I'm surprised the reviews are low for FACES Med SPA. I've been three times, for Botox (to upper arch my eyes) and to fill in my lower tear ducts and they did a great job. I actually went today (so waiting the two weeks for things to, hopefully, take place). The girls are very nice at the desk--they'll fit you in. I will say sometimes it's hard to get through for an appointment or to change one but they are likely to jump to action when you do. As someone who's been getting botox for eyebrow arches since 24 (I'm now 28), they've done a great job so far--I can see the difference through selfies (yes, I know), over the two weeks afterward. The pricing is also great if you book on Groupon. I would say if you are unhappy, take selfies the day of and wait the recommended two weeks before calling back. I had a friend who did this who was instantly helped and not charged. I also do get places water down fillers so I understand the concern of reviewers and can't disregard them; only speaking to my own experience. read more

FYI: when they ask for your ID, they SCAN it and store it in their database. When asked about it, the girls at the front desk said "it's to verify your age," which is bs reason to scan and store your ID, you can just look at it and give it back. Then you have no idea what they do with your info... I've been getting botox for over 7 years 3-4 a year at different places and that's a first. Went here for a procedure to even my lips out because they weren't symmetrical. I've had lip procedures done before and never in my life was it that painful. She wasn't gentle at all , The technician really hurt my lips . It was an extremely painful experience and the bruising was horrific, i feel like she ripped my lips up. Went to see Olga for kybella and she was extremely nice and caring to my needs. I initially wanted to get two vials, but told I only needed one which I appreciate the honesty because that means I would've spent an extra $400. She was throughly and throughout the procedure she kept asking me if I was okay. If I need to get anything done in the future, I will definitely see her again. The place was clean and I was seen within 5 minutes of me being there. Kybella takes weeks to see the optimal results so I can't review on that, but in terms of the service, I give 5 stars. read more

Definitely this is a legit place with an amazing and skilled injector "Yulia." Everyone in this spa is nice including the receptionist. It was a little bit warmer in the waiting area the day I visited but it might have been bc it was a hot day. Yulia is smart, nice, beautiful, very talented and honest. She did not try to sell me more treatments as other places do. From the moment she placed her hands i could tell she's talented. Her hands are magical, skilled and artistic. I went to see Marina because I needed fillers for beneath my eyes. I've provided before and after images so you can make your own judgment. Needless to say, after reading all the positive reviews about Marina, I was really disappointed. She was unfriendly, didn't pay attention to the symmetry of my face, and proceeded to put the fillers incorrectly despite adding excessive amounts on one side. I appear to be a clown! She severely messed off the symmetry of my face. The employees and students at the ultrasound school where I work have been asking me what happened to my face. I cover my face to protect myself from the embarrassing work that has been done. I scheduled a time for her to fix the problem. I'll keep you informed. Updates as of 5/31/23 I returned to fix the horrible filler that had been done after waiting 30 minutes. I was led into Marina's office. She asked what was going on. I informed her that I wasn't satisfied with the work she's done . she replies, your face looks fine. I brought up the problem. she said It will take more than 5 ML to make my face seem bloated. She enquired about my use of fillers after I showed her the before and after photos. I retorted that I had, but that I required filler beneath my eyes; nonetheless, you decided to inject the filler into my cheeks. She refused to accept responsibility for the terrible job she performed when I asked her to dissolve the filler, She asserted that dissolving the filler was not her responsibility. I agreed when she requested that I remove my review, but I didn't.. She is absolutely unfit to be a business owner unless you are Russian or European, as her company does not stand for equality. To have the fillers removed, I went to (body Factory skin care). Remember that you cannot see the substances that Faces Med Spa injects into you! I really suggest Body Factory skin care since they are very knowledgeable and don't rush you into buying anything. You'll adore it. Sometimes paying extra means getting better service! The final image was taken when I went to Body Factory Skin Care to get the issue Marina caused fixed. MY 1ST EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT! I bought a Groupon for lip filler and upon arrival I was asked to pay a $25 ny state tax fee. I wasn't thrilled but it is what it is. Kristina (the receptionist) was kind and not nasty about it. She showed me where on the Groupon it states "taxes may apply". Ella whom performed the lip filler did exactly as I asked of her. so my sister had made an appointment with faces two weeks prior to her appointment day (which is today june 1st) and they called her a few hours before her appointment to let her know that their lift outside for wheelchairs (shes disabled) was broken. I know for a fact that it's been broken for a long time and they forgot to fix it or didn't want to fix it. so we told them they were discriminating against her and are ableists. it's ridiculous and frankly it's a terrible look for them. she then asked after we complained if we "wanted to reschedule" and we were like absolutely not. They then told us that they "fixed it" which is absurd because it was just broken this morning so there's not way it's safe and no we're not going to reschedule and we're absolutely never coming back to this establishment. Please stay away from this place for BOTOX. IDK what they are using but it is not BOTOX. It doesn't work. Also they don't give you ice or numbing cream so be prepared for the pain. I think they inject you with waterdown Botox so you have to comeback and then she will charge you. Marina is NOT using real BOTOX. Other doctors open the botox in front of me and prepare the injection. I had botox done in the past and has lasted over 8 months. This one she claims only last two months, but it never worked. The worst place ever. I bought Botox for 4 areas. The first time I went I saw Marina. She didn't put ice or numbing cream on my face. It was painful and she injected me maybe 5-6 times for all the areas. I waited 3 weeks and no results. Went back and she was upset with me cuz she thought I had written a bad review. Evidently someone with my first name wrote a bad one. I assured her I didn't write it and she asked me to write one right there. Obviously it was a great review as she hadn't done my touch up and was reading the review. I did ask for ice this time. After 3 weeks no result. I called again and schedule a third visit and I was very clear that it was a touch up again. I asked Marina what was going on? One eye looks better that the other. Frown line is still there and wrinkles on my nose. She had an attitude, told me it had been too long and somehow it was my fault. She wanted to charge me. So I left. How could it be my fault? I've been getting Botox for over 10 yrs. Do not WASTE your $$$$. AWFUL product. Awful service. Bring your own ice or numbing cream if you still decide to try them. The "Botox" must be fake or completely diluted. I was never going back. This place should be shutdown. Be aware of product and price. read more
