Be careful going here! This place not only damaged my mental health by giving me PAH from coolsculpting. But DENISE the women that runs this location made is almost impossible to get my info and help me file a claim to Allergan for the PAH they gave me at this med spa! It took a WHOLE YEAR to get my case approved because of her! When I would ask the people up front to give me the info to the CEO to file a complaint and to have the CEO help me file a claim for the DAMAGE THEY CAUSED, They would NOT give me the CEOs info! They RUINED MY BODY and I had to get liposuction to remove the damage. I went to get another treatment for my face here before and the lady BURNED my skin I had a scab. They went ahead and looked at my skin and said it's because of your eczema it's a flare up. IT WAS NOT! My face had a BROWN SCAB. I am fair skinned. This place should be SHUT DOWN! avoid all costs. Second time getting microneedling done. I was so scared the first time but Kelsey was so amazing I came back to get the treatment done again by her. She knows what she's doing and explains each step. Worst part is just the numbing cream and having to sit there for about 30 minutes but the actual micro needling part takes about 15mins ish. First time my face was very red. Back to normal in about a week. My second time, way less redness and just looks like sunburn even on day one of treatment. Kelsey is wonderful at what she does. Don't do it - lots of other options. I went here first in 2024 for a Clear & Brilliant facial. I waited a while and during my facial someone came in and basically told my practitioner to speed up. I decided to try again about a year later just to see if it was one off. I booked two services back to back that I had done before at my dermatologist's office. When I got there I was told this wasn't possible by someone who perhaps was some sort of manager? She never introduced herself. I asked why I was able to have it booked for a month with no one telling me this, and the person was defensive and no apology was made. I then was told I needed a consult and someone would be right with me. After 25 minutes of being the only person in the waiting room, I asked what was happening next. Basically I was still waiting to even discuss a treatment. I decided at that point I was giving up and going back to work. I had blocked my entire afternoon because this was a rather time consuming procedure(s) I had booked. The women tried to give mean stares of some sort as I said completely calmly I had to go because I wasn't able to get anything and had been there 25 minutes. No apologies for me showing up to an appointment I had accidentally been allowed to book because of system glitches and downright rude behavior. Strongly recommend going anywhere else - lots of other places including Ever/Body with much better processes, employees and accountability. read more

Beware! Very disappointed. Terrible experience at the skinney medspa. I had cool sculpting done on my stomach area. I first met with Ellie, who assured me that everything would go smoothly with little downtime. Immediately after one treatment, I had severe abdominal pains and could barely move. I also experienced very bad bruising which lasted for more than a month after the treatment. My stomach now also has an indent in the middle. I spoke to Gloria after the treatment, and she said that these results were normal however, I know that is not true! I know many people who have had coolsculpting done at different places, who never had this issue. The staff here are not doctors, I suggest going to a doctor if youre interested in any treatments. Skinny Med Spa is state of the art, elegant and well staffed . I am so very satisfied with the body treatments. The menu of body treatments is extensive, staff will first meet with you and help explain options. The resident PA,Angel, and she is indeed an Angel, helped me decide. They do not push any treatments, take a full medical history , and make sure clients are comfortable. Gloria is the manager of the Spa, and a absolute delight. My situation is a bit complex due to a disease involving inflammation. She researched options, had Angel weigh in, and came up with a plan. Emsculpt is the treatment they do the most, it's noninvasive and gets results. I have not had a facial here, but can vouch for how well trained the estheticians are. They do not rush people, you will have options on beverages , clean lovely bathrooms, great location. Once again Gloria has gone to extreme lengths to arrange everything for me. She's genuinely kind, positive, and a encyclopedia of treatment knowledge. They also have BR line from France. I think it's only Rescue Spa and Skinny Med that has the entire BR protocol. As mentioned, have not had any facials here but assume as good as body work. Diet, exercise and Skinny Med Spa are a recipe for looking ones best, kicking in self respect, and fitting into my precovid clothes. I can see the appeal of going here! I'm sure for basic needs they are fine. But my experience wasn't like that. I find the staff unpleasant and nice when they need to be. I don't think the treatment I got worked whatsoever and is a waste of money. This Medspa has stolen $1,800 essentially from me and I have spent 6 months calling them and the credit company as it is now affecting my credit score. I keep calling and being told the practitioner is in meetings and will call me back. Most recently, I called Thursday and they put me on hold and then hung up to which I called back and then was told the doctor would call me back, yet no call. I tried calling the following day and it went to voicemail. It is really frustrating that this company is so blatantly unprofessional and has no care for perspective clients! I spent about $4k on coolsculpt with absolutely no results. The people were nice, but I was so disappointed by the results. Both my actual weight and the look of my stomach in the before and after photos were the exact same after waiting for 3 months for the results to kick in. They had good customer service to offer me a complimentary eon treatment to try after..but I didn't know what I was Also agreeing to until I completed the eon treatment. After the treatment I had to sign an agreement that I won't post a negative review otherwise if I didn't sign the agreement I would have to be charged. Is it ethical to tell me that AFTER I received the treatment that I agree to not post a negative review in exchange for the complimentary treatment otherwise I would have to pay for it? Each of the forms were clear and concise, detailing the covid 19 safety precautions they were taking during their daily sessions. What was impressive as well is the questionnaire forms inquired the client to list any allergies, family history, medical background, current lifestyle, products used and medications that factor into giving the client the best (and most importantly) the safest possible treatment possible. Upon arriving to the flatiron location, the staff was extremely polite, welcoming and professional. Staff around the lobby were constantly wiping down and maintaining safety precautions and cleanliness. The spa exudes a relaxing and serene atmosphere; all the products they use are available on display and there were auto screen messages that show the different types of services they provide, as well as interesting research and visuals on the various types of skin and ailments that most people struggle with today. The melasma I had developed ten years ago was cured by using Restorsea day cream twice a day -- I swear by that product; however, I did still have a few dark sunspots on my skin ergo the desire for a photo facial. The overall effect of the trio of treatments was brightening and lightening! Now that it is autumn again, I booked three more photo facial sessions with Christine to brighten further and lighten (and hopefully finally eradicate) those spots more. read more

I've done emsculpting sessions on my arms and currently doing stretch mark removal laser sessions for my postpartum stomach area (and looking to see what else I can try lol). I did both services with Zasha and don't think I can go to anyone else. I've been spoiled by her attentiveness and her penchant for detail. She even follows up afterwards to see how my skin is doing. My experience at skinney Medspa has so far been great. Today I had my third micro-needling session for old acne scarring. My hyperpigmentation scars have subsided significantly and I am satisfied with the results. I had different people do my micro-needling session each time and all had different techniques/experiences. Today's session with McKenzie was by far the best. McKenzie was gentle and very attentive throughout the session. Coolsculpting was SO PAINFUL & it didn't work! Absolutely zero results and I also have a permanent mark (I did this in April 2018) on my upper thigh from it. I agree with other reviewers.. They made me feel like I was the perfect candidate PLUS in my consultation, they pointed out other areas on my body (besides the ones I came in for) making me feel very self-conscious. Pain level - the worst pain I have ever experienced. Idk if this gives you context but I've gone through 3 surgeries in my life- not elective, and I was a four year college athlete - No pain, no gain? Nope. I was SCREAMING in pain. It was absolutely awful. I was crying and writhing so much during the massage portion, they had to hold. me. down. I feel like I can handle pain, but no. Never again. I actually felt traumatized for about three days afterwards... They took pictures of me which I assumed would be compared to a follow up session months later when I would be invited back to see results.. Not a single call for follow up. Post coolsculpt, I was working out, eating well - None of the CS treatments worked. I actually feel heavier! Plus I was a couple thousand dollars in the hole. Sooo this review is loooong overdue. I'm am reviewing Skinney based on the CoolSculpitng treatment I received. So I went into Skinney MedSpa about a year or so ago for the CoolSculpitng treatment. I'll start with the customer service. Upon entry, I was greeted and even offered water. The staff at the desk was pretty friendly. They swiftly checked me in to get a consultation, oh and the pace was super clean so kudos to them. Now, the consultation. So the consultation was ok, the woman who administered it was nice. However, the consultation felt rushed, I'm just going to blame the fact that she was pregnant. She told me I was a prime candidate for the procedure. Of course I'm sure she was trained to tell me that because they wanted to get these coins. So desperate for some change, I agreed like an idiot!! This procedure costed me well over $3000 which I'm still struggling to pay back as we speak. The woman who administered the procedure was super nice and made me feel comfortable. The reason why I'm giving this place a 1 Star is for the following reasons; 1. They kinda made me feel like they were only interested in getting me to sign up for the procedure. 2. I was assured that I'd see results within 2 weeks tops, saw zero results and I even changed my diet and began working out, in fact I feel like I gained more weight. 3. I was told that they would call me for a follow up, which was never done. Never heard from them again once I signed those payment papers. 4. I was also told I would get 2 complimentary Venus freeze sessions which I also never received due to me not every hearing back from anyone. 5. I called and left several voicemails and never received any answers. To me my honest opinion is that they are only interested in making money off of you. It sucks because the staff made me feel comfortable Pre Treatment, but after the treatment was another story. It also sucks that I hear all these success stories yet I'm here still struggling with my self esteem issues and no financial issues because it was such an expensive procedure. I would love to try the procedure again to see if it works, but I know I won't be able to afford it and I know they would never offer me a complimentary redo. Update: coolsculpting worked really well for me!!! loved the results of my first treatment with my double chin. People even asked if I had lost weight . Super satisfied so I decided to get a second treatment to increase the already good results. Paris treated me the 2nd time. She was super sweet & patient with me. This time went by a lot smoother as I knew what to expect , and maybe it's because I had less fat to freeze this time. This is by far my favorite spa in NYC and coolsculpting is some really fascinating technology. Next up: my bat wings!!! I'm really interested in Emsculpt though because it builds muscle & burns fat.
