For the last 3 years I have had huge insecurities with my smile lines and was tying everything to soften them. I hope these photos help someone else who's been searching like I was. For reference, I'm 37 and live in NYC. One vial of RHA Redensity filler placed directly in my smile lines made an incredible difference. When I say this changed my life, I really mean it. I was completely hyper-fixated on my smile lines. I'm a model, and I constantly noticed them in photos. I avoided harsh lighting, certain angles, and dreaded getting unedited photos back. In everyday life, I'd avoid mirrors and harsh lighting, I'd catch myself puffing out my cheeks or smiling to hide them whenever I saw my reflection, and I'd compare myself to everyone else. UPDATE: Barely 24 hours after my review, the Dr sent me an email threatening to sue, followed by a text message the next day, when I didn't respond. Just like he's done to every other yelper who dared to speak their truth about his deceptive practice. Its funny because I was told he would. If this doesn't say everything you need to know about this fraudulent human, I don't know what else will. I have attached screenshots of his messages to me, I hope YELP does something about this business, and I'll also be filing a formal complaint. FYI skinly Aesthetic: I don't scare easily. And this isn't a good look for you. ADVISE: if you still choose to go to his office, MAKE SURE HE SHOWS YOU EXACTLY THE AMOUNT OF FILLERS OR BOTOX YOU PAY FOR AND HE ISN'T JUST INJECTING YOU BLINDLY! Right out the gate he insists, that 20 units were too small and I should go for 40, my face is pretty small, with little or no wrinkles, and 20 has always been good for me and lasted about 6 months, so I was shocked to hear this from him, but they're so persistent so I found myself going along. He didn't stop there, he tried to push me to get fillers and a pdo thread for more lifting of my face! Telling me my face is saggy, I am a skinny model with the tiniest amount of fat on my whole body. Like are you kidding me?? I politely refused said no. About 20 mins later, I'm led into the room, this dirty doctor comes in with the same gloves he's had all through, walking through the clinic, touching stuff, and working on other patients, he doesn't have the decency to change them and without even massaging or asking if I'm ready, pokes my forehead so hard I hear a loud 'poof', like a balloon burst, I told him that hurt a lot and he told me it was normal. IT WASN'T! After he's done, he leaves me with no aftercare, not even ice, and him and the receptionist Sara, run off into some other room at the back,giggling like kids, doing God knows what, I had to let myself out. As it was already the end of the business day. I woke up the next morning with a large bruise on my forehead, I called them and he said yea it was a mistake, he went too hard and I should use the ice and heat pack he gave me and the bruising should go down within a few days, no apologies nothing. I told him, he didn't give me anything for aftercare and his response was "oh it escaped my mind" RED FLAG! Now I'm supposed to leave for my vacation with a bruise?? I was very unhappy. Fast forward more than two weeks later I'm still having lines by my eyebrows I'm wondering why?! I've had 20 units often in the past and never had these issue. I emailed them a few days ago since it's been almost a month since my visit, complaining of this, what does this quack Doctor do? He tries to upsell me even more by email. Telling me I would need more units. Then he says I got 30 not 40 units. This really made me upset. I responded that I know exactly what my face needs and I don't go for the over done look and I believe I was not sold the right amount which I paid for, and all of a sudden they went quiet not responding back. This place is treacherous, deceptive, dirty and they're up to no good. The fact that I gave them days to fix this, yet they chose to stay silent, goes to show this man is no doctor but a sales person who just goes for profit. There were a few women there when I visited and it's obvious he preys on innocent older women who have no idea how injections work and are just happy to have someone sell them what they might not even need. Two of them just got their lips done and they told me it was their first time and asked me how it looks. This is how I know he goes for people less experienced with cosmetic injections. What a really great experience. From Charlotte being super communicative via email and text between my work meetings, was straight forward about cost, was able to book an appointment quickly, no fuss, answered all/any questions, personable to the easy location, clean space, and prompt appointment start time. The doctor has good bedside manner, quick, easy, explained enough and gave opportunity to ask questions. This place is absolutely horrible. This "doctor" needs to get his license taken away. He's very deceptive and preys on people. He completely ruined my face by injecting random products. He has no bedside manners, would just walk in and out of the room. Would not say what he's injecting, let alone if it even was the right products. I came in with very specific intentions and he tries to force you into getting other procedures because he "recommends" it just to take your money. He overcharged me for the most basic procedures. Full price for .5 ml of lip filler when I didn't even want to get my lips done in the first place. My lips were fine so I was skeptical of getting it done but he either overfilled or the product he used was not filler because it didn't even last a day. I had to get it dissolved immediately because I couldn't go out in public. He basically humiliated me and charged me for it. Lesson learned. Would give negative stars if I could. DO NOT GO HERE. Dr. Schwarzburg is knowledgable and fixed me up in no time. I used to grind my teeth at night and even had a tense jaw during the day that contributed to some anxiety. They advertise walk ins welcome, but that is not sure. I have tried to make same day appointments and wouldn't receive an answer or call back for over five hours and sometimes would never even receive a call back. The appointment I was able to book with "Leah" when I arrived the front desk lady had no idea that I was coming. I won't recommend this office, especially to people of color. The doctor was stunned when he walked into the room to see a person of color who told me he needed to consult another patient and would be back shortly. Since my procedure requires 5 units to level one brow, it was not serious to him. However, at first, he wanted me to inject 15 units. He went to the next patient, and his receptionist entered the room, asking me to pay for the service before receiving it. I was shocked and said there was no sign that displayed such, neither was that on the consent form. She tried to explain to me why, resulting in speaking on insurance and lack of integrity on past patients. (Why are we speaking on insurance when it's cosmetic botox?) I then asked, "are you basing my situation on past negative experiences, for it seems discriminatory?" She prompted me for the payment, which I did, and waited on the doctor. The doctor then came into the room, asking why I felt discriminated against. I explained to the doctor that I did not feel discriminated against, but the steps of service your office have seem to be discriminatory. He proceeded to record the conversation, which is a HIPPA violation. After realizing the recording was in progress, I asked the doctor to stop, and he responded no; because he needed to take this allegation seriously. He then made reference to his African American friend(s) to equate the situation increasing micro aggression and micro-insults. I requested a refund, and the doctor was belligerent and angry about my statements. He then asked for my physical address, which seemed threatening since I refused the service. He also got upset that I called him man instead of Doctor, hahaha but stated his pronouns as he/him. Go to a professional where assurance of service will be given. Most horrible experience. I will take this up with the city and state. Based on the reviews, this doctor is using unethical behaviors. read more
