The menu was fairly limited but I can live with that. The fish and chips were only 4 star worthy but the service i got pushed the overall exp to a 5. You still have the douche bags in their soccer jerseys like most self proclaimed Irish pubs, but I've learned to accept them. read more

Fado Irish pub is a safe haven for soccer fanatics! The "authentic" Irish atmosphere draws in all types from all over the Columbus area. While the prices are kind of steep the selection of beers on tap is vast. The Columbus Brewing Company's IPA is one of my top 5 beverages at this point in time and is a must try with their potatoes cheese wedges! The waitresses are awesome and the bar tenders are attentive, be sure to tip well! read more

Great Irish pub experience, sitting outside on a beautiful sunny day with great friends

Planned a last minute dinner outing for our soccer team and parents while at a tournament. They were able to accomodate us, get us our food and drink quickly and even separated the bills. The waitress as fantastic, the service was great and, of course, the food was good. Got the Fish Tacos (many parents did) and many of the kids got burgers. Menu selection was limited, but too many choices isn't always a good option either. Only thing I was surprised about is I didn't see any curry, and there really wasn't many "irish" food options. I've been here a few times for soccer games and the last time I went was on 3/22/15 & had a fabulous time watching the Barcelona/Real Madrid game. You definitely need to make sure you get there early if you want a table! I've rarely seen it not busy!! We started with the Smoked Salmon bites which were recommended by our waiter and they were delicious! Our waiter was attentive and on it, taking empty dishes, filling glasses, even as busy as they got. The crowd was awesome and is always a wonderful time when I go! if you are a soccer fan, this is the place for you!! They even open up at 6-7am depending on which game is on. read more

1st time i've been to Fado Easton. Good points, the food and the service. Bad points extremely noisy with no place to get away from the noise. The buisiness attached to the restaurant is a cigar shop and the whole place reeked of cigar smoke that comes thru from next door. I will not return to this location even tho I really enjoyed the food. read more

Osu's mens' undefeated basketball had just won by 1 point beating northwestern. We were Easton bound, and were a bit apprehensive about goin there because of traffic after the game. Here's what happened... I phoned in to fado's while on our way to Easton to meet up w friends who wanted good food and drinks, while on the phone w the hostess, I got an estimate on how long it would take to be seated, she estimated a 45 min wait for a table of 4. Me n girlfriend arrived 15 mins mins before our friends did. We stood at the bar for about 10 mins until our friends arrived. We had drinks while we were getting caught up and we stood around waiting for a table to empty by the time i was ready for my third drink our table was ready. Now, that "45 min wait" went from dread to glad in 30 mins. It was an enjoyable wait for a table, though it was a little crowded, however, we were w great company, the food was incredible and well plated and the beers were good, though I did expect for them to have more options of microbrews or local brews. I left feeling pleased. The chicken fingers they serve here are the best in the city. Better than raisen canes. Their menu is pretty authentic and adventurous. I wish I would of tried lamb lollipops. It's lambchops served in a pomegranet reduction sauce. I will b back soon. read more

I don't think I will be coming back here. Went for a late lunch (130ish) on a weekday, sat at the back bar. Not too crowded, but lots of waitstaff. The bartender serving immediately gave us menus, but didn't come back for twenty minutes to take our order. She said she was waiting on us that day. Then finally she did, food was brought out by someone else, and we didn't see her for an hour. Never came to check on us or ask if we needed another drink, which my fiancé was waiting for. Never refilled our water. She was at the front bar ten feet away from us shooting the **** with two or three gentlemen customers. Their drinks were getting poured and topped off every few minutes. My fiancé and I finished our meals, and were ready for the check, but she never came because she was all over these guys. I even stood by chair, put on my coat, and made it obvious we were ready for the check and to leave. No dice. Didn't even look our way. Finally I asked another waitress to bring our check. Then it took another thirty minutes because nobody would take the booklet and go charge my card. When I noticed her briefly look our way, I had to wave at her to come over. I've always thought people who do that are annoying and rude and I would never wave at wait staff but this was just horrible service. She rudely took our card and cake back another twenty minutes later...in spite of seeing me with my coat and ready to go. It would have taken her literally ten seconds to run my card; but instead she returned to the front bar. Hands down the worst service I've ever experienced at Easton. The food was good, however, which is why I gave it two stars instead of one. read more

Went here as a party of 4 - 2 wheelchairs. Their awkwardly placed walls just cut rooms off from each other and their short stature tables that were clustered way too close to one another made it impossible for us to find a place to sit. Waited over 30 minutes for 1 of 2 tables that were taller/wider and therefore could've accommodated our husbands but inconsiderate guests camping out left us no choice but to leave with pouty faces and growling stomachs after the long wait. The customer service could've also been better: as the 4 of us huddled way too closely to each other around a 2-person table (MAX!) looking like sardines in a can, the seemingly oblivious waitress comes by asking "you all ready to order?" Uhm no we're ready to have a seat at a table that comfortably accommodates all of us so we can actually enjoy our meal. Can't really say I'm bummed, though, bc their menu didn't sound super appetizing to me so maybe it was a blessing in disguise... read more

OMG. The lamb French dip sandwich may be the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Au jus was more of a gravy. Amazing. Smelled and looked like a bar which is good for an Irish pub. Fast friendly service. I just got back from my first lunch at Fado and I'm pretty surprised. All food was great (pulled lamb French dip and corned beef sandwich) and they actually know how to pour a black and tan. Most places just dump the two beers together letting them mix, but they either use a pouring spoon or are extremely careful not to let the two mix. Also, the fries are the best I've ever had. This is a good place to go if you want to feel normal drinking beer on a Sunday morning during holiday season. All in all, great food, great beer, great setting, and great service. read more

I took my wife here for her birthday and was happy with the overall service of the wait staff. They were friendly and we were taken care of quickly. I order a Guinness and was not disappointed it was a perfect poor. We both enjoyed the Guinness Mac and Cheese a lot. We both got the lamb Sandwich and chips. We both enjoyed the sandwich but was a little disappointed with the temperature of our food. The chips were cold and the sandwich was on the chilly side. Rating the selection at the bar I would give it 5/5 but when I add the food in I have to give it a 4/5 because the food was cold. read more

I really enjoyed my time at Fado's Irish Pub. I was there with a group (CYP Club) and they had a tent for oysterfest. The staff was very knowledgeable about oysters and let me to try some for the very first time. I also had a oyster harp shooter that although wasn't the best thing I've tried, I'm happy they convinced me. The patio is quite smoky so if you're not a smoker, I probably wouldn't sit out there. Indoors on a Friday or Saturday night can be quite crowded so make sure you find a seat and keep it! read more

STOP READING THIS AND ORDER THEIR FISH TACOS ASAP. Seriously, we've starting coming here for happy hours explicitly on the taste of the fish tacos alone. Beer battered fish with shredded cabbage, a spicy red chile aioli and fresh squeezed lemon, on warm flour tortillas. Christ, now I want one. The other appetizers range from fair to good. I'm not sure we've had any entrees yet. The drinks are good...they have a fancy new ginger beer that's actually alcoholic and delicious, especially if you get it with the Jameson. We are from out of town and were impressed by Fado and the whole upscale Easton experience. Server was knowledgeable about vast beer selection. She encouraged us to sample many kinds. I love this pub. The food is great (it's mainly bar food items, but hits the spot), great atmosphere, and friendly staff (especially the bartenders). That said, I feel compelled to give a couple observational warnings to folks that have never been here to avoid undeserved low stars: 1. This is a [primarily] soccer bar. Don't come in on a Saturday or Sunday morning/early afternoon and get upset if they don't change a TV to golf, baseball, or NASCAR. They play international soccer on all TV's during BPL season. And most of the people in the bar during that time seem to be regulars and come for that reason. 2. Soccer fans are passionate; don't be offended. If you come early on a Saturday or Sunday there are going to be soccer club supporters, and yes, they may be loud and use bad language (but I have never seen anything worse than that, i.e. fights). Plan accordingly. If that bothers you, you should come in later in the day. In short, Fado is an energetic place for Soccer and seems to be a great spot for a good meal. What a beautiful pub. I had a HUGE salad. Not huge as in the size of your face, but huge as in the size of a hubcap. The salad was fresh, crisp, flavorful, and had the best combination of greens i've seen in a salad in a long time. the bar service was very warm and friendly. They aren't as knowledgable about fancy, or rare drinks, but they know how to crack open a book and try their best at taking a crack at it. the bar tender offered my friend a drink suggestion and nailed it on the head. Great food good drink and FOOTBALL! Stopped in to watch the Chelsea v Man U game. Place was packed! The server was awesome, never botched an order and she was super busy the whole time. Recently started getting into the craft beers and that was a great choice, lots of really good stuff that you normally can only get a growler type places. Food there is a traditional Irish or Gaelic, and if you like mutton or mushrooms your in for a treat. If your not sure then get a Boxty, they're prolly the most "american" thing and they're great. read more

When we arrived there was no one at the door to seat us. We had to ask a waitress who was standing at the bar talking if there was a table available for two. She instructed us "if you go in that back room you'll find plenty." and continued her conversation. We sat ourselves, waited 5 min for someone, I was guessing the waitress that sort of SAT us, to bring us menus but no. So we got our own. The waitress finally finished talking and came over to get our drink order. Meanwhile a larger party was seated next to us by a very hard working waiter who made constant appearances doing, you know, waiter things. Took another 5 min or so to just get our sodas. We ordered our lunch and our waitress disappeared again. It wasn't terribly busy and I never saw her walking back and forth helping other tables, although I did see the waiter at the next table refill sodas and bring food. Lucky! Eventually our waitress put a large plate of not-even-close-to-what-i-ordered. She went off, came back, told me she entered the wrong thing and put in my order of shepherds pie. No apology. No offer to make good on it. She never came back to refill our drinks the entire time, never checked back except to bring some bread. When the food finally arrived her only comment was "I hope it is worth the wait." Oh boy, can't wait to dig in after that reassuring comment. The menu stated the SP was supposed to have vegetables inside and covered in colcannon. No veg, no cabbage. Just ground meat in gravy with mashed potatoes on top but there was no way I was going g to wait another 20 min for someone to get it right. Again she never offered to make it right or apologize until one of us prompted with "the manager is going to take this off the bill right?". I assume if we didn't say anything she would t have done anything. Another 10 min went by before she returned with the check we had asked her for. Again no offer of a refill or water. The waiter for the other party was literally working up a sweat doing his job. We left our payment t on the table and as we left there's our waitress standing at the bar talking with the same people she was talking to when we came in. They were clearly friends. I guess I know now why our order etc took so long and why we never saw her helping other tables. I don't think we will be going here again. read more

My husband and I were wandering around Easton looking for a place for a beer and a bite. We had been told about a Mongolian BBQ place but it was blocks away and parking was at a premium. We saw Fado and decided to stop in for a pint. After looking at the menu and with great advice from our server, we opted for the Guinness wings and the pulled lamb chips. The lamb rocked.The wings were good. Very meaty. We are looking forward to coming back to enjoy more of the good service and food. read more

If you eat here stick to the fish and chips. Ordered burger well done and it was charcoal. Corned beef was OK but not worth the price and cabbage tasted like they used no seasoning. Wanted to eat inside but it was too dark, had very loud music and didn't smell very good. read more

This whole place smells like cigarette smoke. I ordered and had to leave before my food even came because of the noxious smell and the headache it prompted. Waitress says it's because of a smoke lounge next door. Not fado's fault, but very disappointing and unappealing none the less. read more
