I came here to kill time and get drinks in between a wedding. It was dark, too dark. Quiet, no music, no speakers on the TV. It was awkward. No help or service. Very slow service. My friends said it took their drinks 20 minutes to arrive to them. I will not be back. I know there is so much you can control, but I will just go to another bar. I finally made it to all 3 Pastimes Pub & Grills in Columbus!! Pastimes is by far my favorite sports bar in Columbus. Their drinks are consistent and food is by far the best bar food around. They have Bingo on Tuesday, Trivia on Wednesday and Opinion something on Thursdays. It is like family feud and trivia combined. It's pretty fun. Today, I went to trivia and got the best daily special, the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Basil Bisque. It is AMAZING and by far the best thing on the menu minus the wings. We came for their wing deal and it was our first time here. We came on a busy night and it was a bit busy. There's tall table tops and bar seating available. the environment is busy, loud, and lively because it was a sports bar basically. There's plenty of parking in their lot and decent amount of seating inside. We got a few wing flavors that sounded good and really enjoyed the hot honey, goldfinger, and some others. The wings were made well and the wings were still juicy. The sauces were good, some more than others but overall good. I think for the price, I'd definitely come back for wing nights! Staff was nice, but service was a bit slow because they were so busy. It was a bit loud in the restaurant because of people talking and TVs on, it's a bit overwhelming. I think if you're looking for a sports bar to watch a game or have some lively interactions, this is a good place. I would recommend their wings, to have a drink, casual date, or to meet up with friends. read more

We were in Columbus for a football game at OSU. It was a night game, so we went in search for a place to eat and have a few beers before the game. I discovered Pastimes Pub and Grill on the internet because I was looking for a place that had a parking lot that was free and did not charge to park like the place that we went last night. The waitress introduced herself and made recommendations about what to eat. Pastimes also had a special for bottled Michelob Ultra, which was 5 bottles in a bucket of ice for $15! Our group went through 8 buckets while we watched an assortment of sports events on one of a dozen TV's plus the one HUGE wide screen that was at least 15+ feet wide and 10 feet high! All the food we ordered was delivered in a timely manner and we had zero complaints. The waitress was fantastic and always kept the buckets coming BEFORE we ran out! I go to the Memorial Tournament every year in Dublin, but always stay at the Courtyard in Worthington. Pastimes is very close, so I decided to give it a shot this year. The beer was reasonably cold. The tv setups are fantastic. Food was solid. I wanted to really like this place. However, as I looked around at the customers, which were mainly middle aged white guys, including myself, I couldn't understand the music this place kept loudly playing. Nothing but gangster Rap. I'm not sure who they think they're catering to, but the buddy I was with, looked at me and said, "I can't listen to this garbage any longer". I couldn't have agreed more. Unbelievable. It's a sports bar with 30 TVs. Shouldn't be a struggle to get the game you want on a TV somewhere. I get that not everyone knows how to change channels, but SOMEBODY at a sports bar should know. 4 of 5 times I've been there they are "all out" of at least one of the beers advertised. Pastimes is a good local and sports bar. It's fine for watching a game. There's a good happy hour. It has a good beer choice. The service is usually good enough. It has some great offers. It has a happy hour from 11 to 7. There aren't many bars more generous than that. It doesn't have a huge menu but there's some good choices. There's a few appetizers like hummus and salsa. If you're around Worthington then Pastimes would be a good sports bar. It's pretty clean. The service is pretty friendly most times. read more

I stopped by for lunch and was told I couldn't have my "dog" in the restaurant. She asked for documentation when I told the female bartender he was a service dog I tried my best to explain how the ADA works...I told her she probably wasn't trained about how it works with service dogs. I just told her to call her manager and then she would understand. She tried calling and ended up texting them. She then told me I could stay if I moved to the patio area. I told her no. She then told me she felt that I was upset with her I explained I wasn't upset. I then tried to explain how it works again and she told me that her GM told her differently and I told her the Federal law supersedes her GM she felt that I was being disrespectful towards her and refused to serve me. I was absolutely discriminated against because of her ignorance of the federal law. I would not suggest going here...I immediately reached out to management via email and was ignored! I also contacted the owner because this is a very serious violation of my rights I wanted to give him an opportunity to correct this...I refuse to let them get away with this!! read more

If I could give +10 I would. Pastimes has become our "local" favorite. From bingo to trivia we absolutely love this place. The staff is absolutely amazing, Grace, Lisa, Kayla & Justin are phenomenal. This review is for carry out. We called in and the lady was very nice who took our order. We ordered 24 drum only wings. One was the mango flavor. The other was a dry rub. We also got a buffalo chicken wrap with tater tots. The wings were difficult to eat. The chicken was tough and hard to pull off the bone. I guess better than undercooked. The buffalo chicken wrap was tiny. It wasn't stuffed very much and pretty underwhelming. The tater tots were still crispy, which is impressive for a carry out order. Overall, not my favorite or best experience. read more

I love this place!! Every Thursday is Bingo night from 7-9pm it's $5.00 a game and you can win money! :) also the caller is funny and really nice. Also, can't forget the FOOD! It's amazing!! I have never tried anything but their chicken tenders and tater tots but let me say wow!! Tender, crispy, and they give you so many tots, I can never finish them. They have a monthly shot special and they are always a good thing to try. My favorite is the margarita shot, fresh and make with juices. No mix ! This place just opened (it used to be Gary's Place). I'll start by saying it is a really good atmosphere to watch any sporting event. It's a great local spot in the Worthington Polaris area for those of you who want to avoid the downtown crowd. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They have a good variety of food (lots of bar food, but some healthy things too). They also have great drink specials too. There's always a draft special and I have to admit I always love a good shot special. I'm definitely going to be frequenting this place more often since it's so close to home. read more

Me and my wife found this place because they were hosting a paint nite event. And we decided to stay and have drinks and food we got lemon pepper wings and salt and pepper wings we also had the loaded waffle fries. The food was awesome and hot wings were crispy just the way i like it. The drinks we ordered was long beaches it was refreshing and strong. They have happy hour here from 3-7 we only paid 4.25 for our long beaches which was well worth it. They also have tvs and pool table and junkbox and even a lottery machine. Their wings are really good. They have many flavors to choose from and Sunday is wing day which is great for the football season. They always have 2$ beer deals sometimes it's one of my favorite beers (shiner cheer) which I appreciate. They can be slow on service at times because they don't always have a full staff to wait tables and bartend but I've had a lot of great times here. My friend was right this is a place where you go to drink. The inside can be intimidating because it's a bar, not designed for lunch or dinner. My friends and I got to Pastimes every Wednesday evening for pub trivia (part of Columbus Trivia Challenge). It's always a great time. The food, however, leaves something to be desired. Being that I go almost every Wednesday, I've had the chance to really sample the menu. The only things worth getting are the buffalo chicken dip (the dip is great, the chips are not) and maybe a personal pizza. Other than that, everything else is rather "meh." The name Pastimes reminds me of Grandpa Simpson, sitting in his chair, talking about stuff that happened way before we were born. Then he forgets who we are or why we're there. I think Grandpa Simpson works at Pastimes. My friends and I come here pretty frequently for their Wednesday night trivia competition. We always order a little something to eat, and Grandpa Simpson always gets something wrong. It's become an inside joke for all of us, because we can never get all of our food 100% right. One week, it was a burger missing the toppings we had ordered. Another it was unrequested mushrooms all over our pizza. Frequently, the wrong beers are delivered. The best time was when I ordered the tacos. The waitress asked, "Soft or hard?" (That's What She Said, bro high-five!) I ordered the hard. I was brought, inexplicably, a single massive soft tortilla, folded burrito-style and filled with taco meat. Neither hard nor taco. You know what? We don't care. We just roll with it and see what Grandpa serves up next. read more

Nice sports bar environment. Nice wait staff. Ice cold drafts. Tater tots were cooked perfectly. Italian sub was baked too long. Cheese balls were cooked too long....cheese non existent in many. Hummus dip made too thick and full of peppers. According to our friends with us they stated the wings were large size and good and the burger was good. We stay in Columbus a few times a year and always look for new places to try. We were pleasantly surprised with Pastimes. It was a Saturday night stop and they had a live band. The music was great, the service was great and their pizza was really good. The prices are very reasonable. I've only been to Pastimes once, but it was sure worth it and I plan to head back soon!! Two weeks ago, one of my best friends recomended going there to watch The Ohio State University v. Wisconsin game. I took him up on his offer and we had a blast! This bar used to be called Gary's and I never really gave it much of a chance, but it's Pastimes now with a different owner. They've got a great menu with great wings and fun sports bar food. They also have a fully-stocked bar. The night I was there it was kinda crowded and noisy, but that was due to it being game night and a big game. They've got three projection TV's as well as other smaller flat-screen TV's. The bar also has a nice pool table and an outdoor cornhole area. It's alot of fun! read more

I went here for the first time today to get some drinks with a few coworkers. I didn't have any food, so I can't say how the food is but the drinks were good (price was average). The problem was that the service was HORRIBLE. We sat at a table and our waitress was slow, but we were only ordering drinks so I assumed it would be ok for me to just go up to the bar and order another drink. When I went to the bar the lady who was working it was extremely rude, she gave me a mean look and repeatedly told me that it wasn't her job to take my order (even after I apologized). She even slammed the beer I ordered down in front of me (hard)! Considering that there are bunch of other reviews complaining about the service, I do not think this was a one time thing.
