I have moved literally all over the country and multiple continents and I have never been more disappointed in a moving company than I have been with All Over The State Moving & Storage. This company was contracted by Alliance Van Lines, the company I originally signed a contract with to move my furniture. Day 1 things started wrong. The truck that was to pick-up my furniture broke down and no one bothered to even let me know they were having trouble and would have to reschedule until I contacted them to find out if they were on the way. They rescheduled for the next day. I receive a call saying they are running late once again and need to change pick-up time. They finally arrived and I was then charged additional fees because they said that my items were a heavier weight. The worst experience was on delivery day. The delivery company moved the date and time of delivery three times. Each time delivery arrival time kept getting later. The original schedule was for Sunday, June 7th at 11am. They finally arrive on Sunday, June 7th at 6 pm. They assess the loading dock of my apartment building and let me know that it is too small so we decide on an alternate location. The team then measures the new location to ensure the truck fits and the distance it will take to move the furniture from the truck to my apartment. The extra feet it takes to move my furniture into my apartment is an additional $362. So we get to my apartment and the delivery team wants payment. This is before I even see the truck and even before I can see that my furniture is actually on the truck and I am not being scammed. I ask them to pull up to the new location spot and allow me to ensure my furniture is on the truck. They tell me, "No we cannot do that we need payment first." I proceed to let them know that I do not intend to give payment until I see both the moving truck and my furniture. They disagree and proceed to leave my apartment. A few minutes later I get a call from the supervisor. I tell him the story and I then receive a photo of my furniture on the truck. I then meet the delivery team and make the payment only to find out that I have to pay yet another fee of $125 because they had to wait; when the only reason they were waiting is because they decided to leave my apartment after they refused to allow me to view my furniture on the truck. The boxes that were offloaded were pretty damaged and beat up. In the initial assessment, I had a broken lamp and several broken bottles that leaked onto other items. During Unpacking I noticed even more damage. My couch was ripped, floor lamp glass globe broken, broken 3 drawer storage container, broken figurines and when they unwrapped my couch and loveseat, they left all the garbage in my apartment. To add insult to injury, they asked for a tip. I only provide tips for great service and this service lacked greatness on multiple levels. Moving is a stressful time for most and All over the State Moving Company is not a company you want to choose to work with during this stressful time. WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE WITH THESE GUYS DAY 1: I got a quote from these guys based on equipment I submitted to move. This guy Tommy promises that the quote will not be exceeded and will deliver my things in 5 DAYS Day 2: Moving guys show up. The supervisor checks all my equipment and notifies me that the sofa recliner and 2 seat recliner is not included in the quote. BUMMER. I showed him the quote which includes both "sofa recliner and 2 seat recliner" (see attached image). He argued with me that sofa recliner means a recliner chair in the quote. This supervisor guy said I can talk to this Tommy guy who sold me this shitty quote. Tommy doesn't answer my call and tells me to negotiate with that supervisor. WHAT A MESS. Alright, I agreed to pay $400 more for the sofa recliner. Day 7: I checked on the status of my stuff. I was told my things are still in Houston. BUMMER AGAIN. Day 10: No updated on my stuff or delivery date. Day 15: finally I get a delivery date. Day 18: I get my stuff. In summary, I was ripped off in both ways. Money and delivery time. A LITERAL LIVING NIGHTMARE!!!!! I scheduled my move from Dallas to Denver through Trinity Relocation Services who lied to me about several things right from the start. I looked past it because I really wanted my possessions at my new apartment in Denver and had already made a down payment. The moving broker partnered with All Over The States Moving & Storage. To say the least, this company is completely incompetent and will nickle and dime you for everything. Expect to pay $1000 more for bullshit charges. After waiting a week and a half for a call that never came staying my items were in transit, I called and called and they said my items were on the truck and I would receive a call 48 hrs in advance with my delivery time. I got a call at 6:30pm at night from the driver saying that they would be there at 9am the next morning and that they only accepted cash or a USPS money order. No credit cards accepted. When the movers arrived they demanded an additional $150 in cash before they would move a thing, stating that the number of steps from the truck to the front door was considered a long distance move. In the picture below you can see the apartment is very close to the truck and the fact they would consider that long distance is absolutely ridiculous. The price you are quoted may not be as high as other companies but after all the bullshit charges you are better off hiring a more reputable company that doesn't hold your possessions hostage. read more

Please stop and call any other moving company. They did the bait&switch on me. They offered me a quote and once I paid the downpayment, they charged me all kind of hidden fees I didn't know about. They do not pick up the phone or answer emails once they have your money. I have called over 30 times during a two week period but will not pick up. Consumer's Original Complaint : The original over the phone estimate was $2,400 to move a 4 bedroom 1600 sqft home from rural DFW to Asheville, NC. In the end, we spent over $4,300. We experienced a complete mischaracterization of the cost of moving from DFW to Asheville. This company was not helpful from the start. My expectation is that they were experts in the practice of logistics. 1) The over the phone estimate was grossly inaccurate. The result was a discrepancy of 400 sqft of truck space ($65/ sqft). On moving day the foreman then adjusted the cost from $2,400 to $4,300. 2) On moving day without a back up plan. The foreman and his crew show up and from this $1,900 bomb on us. To be clear and accurate: 1 dresser was unaccounted for on his estimated inventory. Of the 50 boxes we were allotted, 30 were considered Large Boxes (however if you calculate the difference between a Lg and Md box it is about 10 cu in.) None of those discrepancies account for 400 sqft. 3) Over the phone, the estimated delivery date would be the weekend after (3-5 days). Again, the foreman drops a bomb and says it'll be more like 14 days, but he says they actually have 21 days according to the contract. 4) The delivery truck arrives 13 days later. Great! Except, it is 9:00pm on a Sunday night. Except, he can't get his semi truck in and out of our neighborhood. They say I acknowledged that there was room for a 78 foot truck in front of our delivery address and there is. Except, he can't turn around. These folks are the trucking, moving, and logistics experts...not me! So I have to meet them the following morning, after threats of my belongings being taken 5 hours away to Richmond Virginia, I spend more money getting a smaller uhaul truck so that they can transfer my belongings. 5) I paid the full balance. Had to move my own stuff into my house (2 story). I asked about a discount for all of the trouble and poor salesmanship that cost me an additional $1,900, because that's what responsible businesses do to avoid questions about their practices and integrity, and also ensures future business. They would not budge. Again, I am not an expert in these matters. I do expect them to be professional and to have industry knowledge to help me with this difficult process. What I received was a bait-and-switch sales technique and then had to spend a lot of time, money, and effort to undo all of their incompetence. If you decide to use this company, be more vigilant from the start. Insist on an in-person estimate. Get that estimate on paper. Why? You can't access the estimate they email you after the job is accepted. Therefore, you have no way to prove how grossly inaccurate it was. Consumer's Desired Resolution: A reputable company would stand a little closer to their estimate. A reputable company would research the delivery route and not put their driver in such a terrible position and waste their time. A reputable company would return phone calls and emails to keep the customer abreast of the location and progress of their delivery, rather than calling on a Sunday night with 3 hours of notice. They do not have the knowledge needed to perform the task they are hired to do. For that reason, I deserve to be recompensed. They deserve to take a loss for their incompetence. They honestly suck. They don't care to get back to you. No one is ever able to answer the phone. They tell you one thing and then say another. They have no sense of customer service. And don't expect to get your things delivered in a timely manner. They overcharge you for what you get. It's not worth it. I would've rather u hauled my things than deal with this. My mother and i have been calling for a week straight with no answer on when out things will arrive, only to be told that we now have to wait another 3 days JUST TO HEAR WHEN THEY CAN LOAD THE TRUCK. Michael quoted a great rate of $1350 for 300 cubic feet. Then two days before my move I was called by Jordan from quality assurance. Jordan said it would be $1800 instead of $1350, So I told jordan that I am only going to ship 300 cubic feet and to take some items off the inventory to keep it at price at the 300 cubic feet price of $1350. He assured me That I would only pay for what I shipped and they just wanted to ensure that the movers would bring a truck big enough for my move, this really frustrated me that he would not remove some items so I could get an exact price. So Thursday three movers show up and I believe only one of them could speak any English . I told them to stop at 300 cubic feet as I wanted the 1350 price. They assured me they would honor my request. Well 2 hours latter The Foreman said he had 400 cubic feet loaded and he didn't even stop at the 300 cubic feet mark so I could take a look at the truck. I was so upset and disappointed and immediately tried to call the main office and complain. But guess what no one would answer my calls And the Foreman had a smirk on his face like he knew no one would answer the phone to address my concerns So the Foreman goes outside then comes back inside with the paperwork and he changed the number again with a whopping 450 cubic feet at a price of $2139.95 I think he jacked up the cubic feet again just because he knew I was really upset, I had a bad feelings about using this company but Michael assured me the company was above board and there was no bait and switch. While the pickup and delivery of my items were acceptable, the customer service and responsiveness from EVERYONE at this company, All Over the State, is TERRIBLE. My belonging were picked up the week before Thanksgiving in Texas and were just delivered on 1/10/20 in Massachusetts. almost 8 weeks after the initial pickup. I had requested a delivery of the first week of December, in which both Shane (salesman) and Jordan (QA person) at All Over the State Movers said would be no problem and would get there around that time. I find it very hard to believe there was not one driver available in almost 7 weeks that was taking a route to the Northeast. The employees of All Over the State are very easy to contact once you express interest in using them, but after you commit, they disappear. Starting the 2nd week of December i called the company everyday and every time they said someone would call me back with tracking info, but NEVER once did. I called the direct line of the customer service, and someone picked up and said "Oh she doesn't work here anymore" and the hung up on me! This other lady there, said she would not be answering the phone anymore when i called because i expressed displeasure with their service while talking to her and I call too often. What kind of customer service is that? Her excuse was "I am a good Christian woman, I do not need to listen to complaints." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? The quote i was given was over $1000 less than what the final price ending up being, and i actually moved LESS than what was on my inventory list i gave to them. The pickup driver said he didn't care how much or how little stuff I moved, they don't change the price. However the price is based on cubic feet it takes up in the truck so why would I have to pay more when i'm moving less? Overall even though the pickup and deliver was fine (FYI done by an outside trucking company & movers), the company, employees, customer service, and communication of All Over the State Movers is TERRIBLE. Not only did they tear my couch and shatter a 50" Smart TV, but they delivered 2 of my boxes to another city. I filed a claim the beginning of August for the TV and couch and (today) November 19, they sent me their settlement offer of $50 (yes $50 dollars). They broke our TV, put my lawn mower upside down on a box of clothes spilling oil and ruining half the content. Broken picture frame. My stuff came on two different trucks. When they arrived to pick up our stuff they tried to raise the price by over a thousand dollars. I should have walked away. This has been one of the worst moves we've ever had. After talking to Alex, the sales guy several times, we were assured that all the information given (the list of all of our items) would be packed and stored. When the truck pulled up I said I hope there's another truck coming but to our surprise this was the only truck. After all of the conversations with Alex, how in the hell would he or anyone else think that at 3400 sq ft home, 4 bedrooms; a bonus room, office, dining room, patio furniture and approx. 100 large and small boxes fit into a 26' truck. Talk about bait and switch.....what started out as a $7,000 move ended up being $14,000. I am so angry right now I don't know what to do. If we weren't closing on the sell of this home on Monday, I'd cancel the entire move, and go with a reputable and a company some integrity. The gentlemen (father & son ) did everything they could to make thing right, they loaded as much as they could on the truck and scheduled another truck the load the remaining item. I booked alloverthestate.com movers for my shipment needs from Texas to Tampa.They reached my pick up place on time with a penske truck and the movers were so professional and gave me a quote and contract to sign.I paid them half of the quote and agreed to pay remaining upon delivery.I did not had much time to read their contracts which was like 3 pages as i was in a hurry for my flight. When i asked them to deliver, it was a different story altogether.They brought my things on a 18 wheeler truck and the driver called me and told that he cannot enter the premises and he asked for additional $350 for shuttle service to move my things from the truck to my apartment which is hardly 1000ft away. I thought of bringing my own vehicle to save the money.So when i reached my home from office the driver was very rude and asked me to pay for waiting fee and also he would unload it on the sidewalk and go.I decided there is no point of paying him if he's gonna leave my things on the sidewalk.I refused to oblige his demands and he left with his truck without delivering Next day, I spoke with the manager of the alloverthestate.com, I dont want to mention his name here as i dont have any vengeance of anyone.He told me to come and pick the things up from Miami which was like 4 hours away from my place and to pay the amount in double in order to redeliver.He was not in the intention to help me and made up my mind that my things are lost forever. observation: 1. Never use this moving company if you want your possessions to arrive in one piece. We packed all of our dishes in specialty glass wear packing supplies and stuffed the boxes with towels and clothes in order to provide more padding. But nothing could have allowed them to survive being thrown up 3 flights of stairs even when they were marked fragile. Then they packed our dining room table and chairs and somewhere in the move between Oklahoma and Indiana they shattered a chair beyond repair. They do not compensate/their insurance is a joke. I had a refrigerator that was only two years old and in pristine condition. When it arrived, there were several gouges in the front door. Tldr; charged DOUBLE what they quoted, were days late and impossible to get ahold of, and broke almost all of the furniture. Details below. I cannot overstate what an awful experience this was. My mom just moved across the country using them. 1. When they arrived to pick up her things, they informed her that she had more things than they had expected, and she would be charged DOUBLE the quote she had been given. DOUBLE. She had given them a detailed list of all of her furniture and an estimate of the number of boxes, there was no reason the quote should have been so off. 2. She was given a 2 day range of when the furniture should arrive. She was told Thursday or Friday. Thursday they call, say it will be there Friday, great. Friday they call, say that it should be later in the day than expected, fine. After it's been a while after they said to expect it, she calls back the truck driver who called her. No answer. Calls later, no answer. Eventually gets a call back saying it will be Saturday. Saturday, gets a call saying the truck has a flat tire but it will still be today. Hours pass. Mom calls them back, doesn't get an answer. Calls the scheduler, eventually is told it will be Sunday between 8-10am. 9am Sunday gets a call saying it will be later in the day but definitely still today. You see where I'm going with this. Furniture eventually arrives Monday, days late, with the truck driver frequently not showing up and not answering her calls. He would say he'd be there in 30 minutes and hours would pass with him not calling her and not answering when she called him. 3. The first two would be frustrating but forgivable if not for this. Almost EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF FURNITURE WAS BROKEN. Coffee table, end tables, and her dining room table were demolished. Legs gone, wood splintered. A nice, beautiful wardrobe had a foot knocked off rendering it unable to stand, a wheeled table had a wheel gone rendering it unable to stand. Almost none of their furniture was spared. They haven't even opened most of their boxes yet, so who knows what state her other belongings are in. 4. And just to add insult to injury, she had furniture and boxes being delivered to 2 different addresses, all discussed at length before hand and everything clearly labeled. When one massive filing cabinet was delivered to the wrong address, they refused to take it back for her. She insisted, and they repeatedly refused because THEY WERE LATE FOR THEIR NEXT DROP OFF. I never leave negative reviews, but I absolutely cannot let anyone get into this nightmarish situation my mom has been in. I saw some negative reviews, and I have to say that my personal experiences were very very positive. Shout out in particular to Mark, their front man; that guy works hard to make things come out right, as best he can. In multiple moves in different periods of time, these guys have been consistent and professional. They bring the materials they promise, price things fairly, and are flexible. I don't know if some people have outlandish expectations or what, but from a moving company, all you can ask for is a company that picks up the phone (they are great at that, seriously), and moves things where you told them to move them. They're not museum guys that you'd hire to move the Mona Lisa; they're well priced professionals that will work with you. read more

I recently moved with All Over The State. They did a wonderful job picking up and delivering. I have moved before and this was the BEST moving company I have ever used. Their customer service is amazing, never rushed me off the phone, always answered all of my questions and made me feel welcome to call anytime. The staff picking up and delivering were so professional. I loved their red caps and matching shirts with the company logo. It makes you feel better about the company. What they took apart they put back together and I was very grateful. I left them all a very nice tip to show my gratitude and appreciation. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND NEVER using this moving company. In an emergency I hired this company to move items from my apt to storage. They took 4 hrs and 35 mins to move a 1 br apt to a storage unit 7 mins away. When requested to redo to my specifications--I was meet with rudeness and contempt. They do what they want and NOT what the customer asks. When trying to resolve any issue the movers were argumentative. When trying to resolve the issue the next day with the office I was not allowed to speak with a manager or owner. When asked if they would like to try to resolve the matter--I was told no. So after taking my money--I will have to hire ANOTHER company to do what I paid AMC Movers to do. RUN to another company as fast as you can. Poor Service and Poor Quality of Work.
