He immediately ordered X-rays, blood work, and an MRI, and then referred me to a specialist, ruling out a cervical issue, which I initially suspected. I was very satisfied to see the genuine interest and dedication he shows toward each of his patients. I observed how carefully he reviewed my X-rays and ordered the necessary studies to fully understand my condition. At my follow-up appointment, I had the opportunity to be seen by his PA, Jennifer Leeman, PA-C, who performed additional tests in the office, consulted with Dr. Hughes, referred me to a neurologist, and ordered additional blood tests to further evaluate elevated lab results. I 100% recommend these healthcare professionals. They are extremely professional and care for their patients as if they were members of their own family. From the bottom of my heart, I am truly grateful to Dr. Hughes and Jennifer Leeman.

I saw him for the first tome few weeks back and i thought he was caring enough to listen and despite some of the negative review about his bedside manner i felt he was attentive enough. So he sent me for CT and MRI and told me to book the follow up with his nurse Jennifer since its the fastest way to get an appointment and he added " but I will be there as well"so i did and went to the fairfax to discuss my results... i was called in pretty quickly and the assistant who is clearly unqualified to work there asks me if i am pregnant or done either my periods... what? I am over 60 then she takes my pressure and tells me its 69 over 40 ... i asked her again and she said you haven't had breakfast thats why'! Really? The nurse took it again and it was the normal range as i expected. Then comes to my results obviously she had not even looked at them or discuss them with the doctor reading what the radiologist written snd briefly looking at the images and giving me what i could read myself . Very disappointed because i had questions that were not answered by the doctor who i paid to see because he never came in as he said he would. I dont think discussing results should be done with a nurse who clearly not an expert in imaging or diagnosis. I got nothing out of this visit so waste of my money and time and still dont know what really is causing my issues. Oh and the ladies at check out need to be politer and nicer either way the patients.

I knew this was a lie, and said "So if I get the insurance company's approval you'll do them together, right?". At that point (I was in an exam room in a gown) he stepped very close to me and said something along the lines of "Look, we don't get paid if we do them together, you understand?". I told him I did and he left the exam room as the appointment was over. About 30 seconds later he comes back in the exam room WHILE I'M CHANGING AND WITHOUT KNOCKING to try to continue to talk his way out of the lie. He got RIGHT up in my face as I'm standing there in my bra and gave me some song and dance about how I don't really need both procedures at the same time cause I had an endoscopy a few years ago, so there's no hurry, blah blah blah. So this guy lied to my face and then came in the exam room without knocking while I was changing and got inappropriately close to me as he tried to justify his lie. Terrible doctor and terrible person.

I'll update my review later down the road but I'd feel remiss not giving 5 stars from the get-go; at only a few days post-op I am off all PPIs, active, and understand any discomfort I'm feeling. I also have a thorough list of foods to eat each week of my recovery. There have been no surprises and that tells me how well prepared I was for the procedure. When I was in the recovery room the nurse checked my incisions and actually remarked that "it must be Dr. Gillian" and every nurse/practitioner I encountered seemed to hold his work in equally high esteem. My Mom was an RN for over 35 years and always used to joke "one of them graduates top of the class, the other last, but they both wear a white coat..." It's pretty clear that Dr. Gillian and Divya are metaphorical top of their class and even teach/lecture in the field. It's not about the reputation to me but rather knowing they have done so many of these that if some odd thing went left, they would know how to react. One note: Dr. Gillian is not going to baby you or dispense platitudes. In my case, managing my weight aggressively is a significant part of my care. I was prepared to hear that and though in the moment I might've wished for a gentler "delivery", I prefer honesty and facts - I have plenty of friends and family to be gentle. And, by following instructions pre-procedure to the letter, I have already dropped 13 lb (12 pre-surgery). This feels like a new lease on life. Will update down the road once even more healed, but see this practice. After 40-some years of reflux at all different ages and weights, I am so glad I did.

The nurses in the recovery room even told me that Dr. Gillian's patients do wonderfully after surgery and have minimal discomfort. It was a Friday at 5:30pm and they close 7pm. She let me walk in. They took X-rays but not weight bearing which I thought was weird. Everyone was super nice and knowledgeable. They referred me to a great doc and I got an appt Monday morning. Highly recommend if you are unfortunate enough to need these services.

Both of my shoulders are torn and they need to be repaired . He is a skilled artist/ surgeon at his work . He is a bit forward , and he knows his profession . Trust him . After months of ankle and foot pain, my PT referred me to Dr. Buchanan and after the first visit, I knew I was on the right path to healing. He was very pleasant and patient with all my questions and concerns and clearly explained what was going on with my foot. I had ankle ligament reconstruction a year ago and my foot is now better than ever. The office was great to work with on scheduling appointments, the PA Jessica was fabulous, and the surgery was very straightforward. One thing I really liked was the detailed instructions for pre and post surgical care. This established realistic expectations for my recovery and something I could refer back to when needed. They are a very caring and helpful group of people and I will continue to use them for my joint care.

After visiting with four different Urologist myself constantly in and out of emergency rooms and in severe pain 24-7 over the past year. I thought what the hell, he is my last stop on visiting Dr. Joel Andrew, I explained write away I didn't have very good health insurance and that he was my last stop. That all the other doctors especially urologist in Winchester was more concerned about my insurance and how I was going to pay than that what my medical issue was. That I was usually the 1st. one in the waiting room and the last one to be seen and then I was mostly used as a training aid! That I was on 5 different kinds of pain medicine and that if he couldn't be of help to me, let me know up front. After having me explain my entire situation to him. Exam and reading my MRI results the first thing was to get me off all pain meds. Get me back on Flowmax and to follow his instructions. After few rough weeks, I begin feeling better write now at about 90%. It's good to know there are still doctors out there that will take time to listen, that are still professional and are sincerely there to help the patient/ What a good Urologist and staff. I was very bothered at having to find a new surgeon for something that freaked me out - it's my spine (cervical aka neck) so not a good situation to be in! I went on a search to find a doctor in my network that not only was highly skilled but whom I also felt 100% comfortable in the fact that I was in the best hands that I could possibly be in. When both my neurologist and cardiologist hands-down said Dr. Kalantar was their top recommendation, I immediately got a fourth opinion from him. Yes, he was my fourth but also my final. Everyone in that office is so friendly & wonderful and Dr. Kalantar quickly, and with such awesome care, put a well-informed but very nervous patient - ME - at ease. I am completely confident in his care and completely comfortable with the information given to me. He presents all options and is upfront with his information but in the most gentle way so he puts you at ease. I even learned something my original surgeon (and the other 2) never explained to me. I am ready to roll (or as ready as I can be lol) & will update afterwards.
