I have a Triumph ST Sprint which is not a common bike, I was going all the way to Clinton MD to the dealer and the services was fair (just ok) but spending a couple hours on the road to get worrk done. I found Fairfax Cycles and they work on everything so I brought it in for oil change and all. I then later brought it back for new tires, I check around and I think that having them buy the tire and install them was only about $15 more than if I bought them and took the tires and the bike to them. I will be taking my bike in for new front breaks next. They seem very up front and willing to work with you alot, I do highly recommend them and even with a new Triumph deal a mile from me now, I will drive the extra 20 mins and go here. read more

They'll take car of your bike and do it at a fair price. Staff & techs are knowledgeable and able to work with you. Took my bike in for tires. Cost about $400.00. When got back had black "something" on the rear spokes that was really hard to get off, didn't put all the pieces back on the swing arm, and front end had a clunk not previously there. Since have fixed myself or paid to have fixed. Won't be going there again. read more

If you need help, go to this place! They talk to you and are courteous and will explain things so you know what is going on and don't feel like you are getting ripped off. They break it down for you on "must do", "should do", and "your choice to do". They also test ride your bike after repair as quality assurance because even the best mechanics (and people in general) can overlook something. And they have hired and are still hiring more mechanics so that your bike isn't in the shop for weeks and weeks. read more

I spoke to Kevin & just asked if they are available to do a safety inspection on my motorcycle...he rudely advised me to go somewhere else for the inspection. Went to Fairfax cycle to get some work done. Terry was behind the counter and Steve did the work. I showed up, and they took my bike to work on within an hour of being there. Both guys were great and Steve did a great job. Work took about 35 minutes and was charged $90. Thought that was a little expensive for not a full hour of work, but considering they did it without an appointment, did a great job, and were great with the other customers in the shop that I observed, I was not too bothered. I would rather pay a little more for great service than less for mediocre. Plus, these guys have to make a living too....I have been to other places in Woodbridge and falls church, and they wanted to charge more with weeks of waiting. read more

i've been renewing a yamaha vstar that had been sitting dormant for 10 years. i went to Fairfax Cycles for the jobs that i couldn't do myself and am a satisfied customer. they rebuilt and synched the carburetors, changed out the starting clutch, and gave the bike a once over after all my fiddling. the bike is running great. I took my Vulcan 500 in to get a slow leak in the rear tire fixed. I'm a new rider, and still feel inexperienced when it comes to the technical workings of my own bike; it would have been easy for anyone to make me feel like an idiot, but I had the opposite experience. Terry was very helpful and friendly on the phone, giving lots of info on procedure and pricing and when the bike would be done. When I brought the bike in I had a lot of questions, but Terry and the rest of the folks in the shop at the time gave me thorough and thoughtful answers to all of them. Terry kept me up to date with the status of the repair, and the bike was ready in a little over an hour. Overall the repair was faster and better-priced than I could have hoped. I had been dreading taking the bike to a shop, but Fairfax Cycles made it a totally painless experience. When my bike needs work done in the future I'll gladly take it back. read more
