We stayed at this hotel 7/11-12. The facility was clean, beds were comfortable, breakfast was delicious! Most of all I want to give the staff a shout out, especially Cookie from house keeping! I left my cpap machine and they searched until they found it! I was able to stop by to get it on our way back home! I didn't take many pics because a room is a room. The breakfast was the best I have had offered at a hotel, waffles bacon sausage and gravy ... fruit yogurt. The pool was clean and al Oat empty the jacuzzi was great and the fitness room was small but it got the job done. The staff here was absolutely amazing and my room was very clean and comfortable. Hotels no longer are offering room service, food buffets, free breakfast. If you want coffee, it's in your room. My experience has not been the best. The front desk person Gabby was not friendly. She wasn't around much, I always waited for her to come out it the back room. We were also given a room across from the elevator. Why didn't she read the notes of the type of room I like? Later I asked to move to a quieter room and they placed us in a handicap room. David( much nicer ) told me that they didn't have very many rooms. They have to wait 72 hours after check out before they can go in and clean. I hate the saying, but is "this the new normal"? read more

Rooms seem small - non smoking room smells still like somebody smoked in the room. Not overpowering but you can still smell it a little. Of course we check in and the elevator is out. This particular Fairgield by Applebee's in Vheyenne is a total rip off. Coffee pots that don't work, hair on the bed etc. Manager and breakfast lady are bat crazy. Crazy. Our king suite was very nice with a large bedroom area and separate sitting area. The sitting area had a full-sized sofa, small work desk, and a second TV. The sofa had a pull-out bed in case you're traveling with some extra company. The bed was comfortable and we slept pretty well. Unfortunately the air conditioning was very noisy and woke me up a few times. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was one of the best we've had at a hotel. There was lots of good options and the breakfast area itself was very nice. The Fairfield Inn & Suites Cheyenne was modernly decorated and well-maintained throughout the hotel. This hotel is disgusting. The shampoo was half empty the toilet was covered in urine, there was snot on the wall in the bedroom area, and a crusty looking wash cloth hanging from the shower rod. The walls are banged up all around the hotel. Don't stay here it's nasty with no standards. read more

We all know Fairfield is the bargain basement of Marriott, but this property is a complete dump. I paid $260 for a room I know I paid $89 for last time, but summer is here and it's time to rape the punters. The woman at the front desk told me everyone was paying the same price, a total lie as I asked other customers and got different (and lower) rates as you would expect. She also said my rate was the "all Summer" rate, another lie as the following week would be $100.00 less. The room has a 1990's TV and a wall A/C with the door ripped off so bright red and green lights fill the room. The bathroom fan sounds like it's about to explode and the A/C rattles and like an old diesel engine...so don't expect to get a good night's sleep. This is an embarrassment of a Marriott property that I for one will try to avoid in the future. read more

If you ever stay in Cheyenne, you could probably do a lot worse. This place is essentially 5 minutes from the airport and is surrounded by food options. Most of the places listed on Yelp Cheyenne appear to be chain restaurants. The hotel itself is pretty quaint. The rooms are very comfortable. The beds were soft, the thermostat worked well, and the bathrooms were decently sized. The rooms had televisions and fridges. The hotel offered breakfast options (cereal, waffles, and bread options). They also offered fresh baked cookies upon check-in. The people at the front desk were really friendly. Also, free wireless. If a hotel in Cheyenne, Wyoming can have free wireless internet, there is no excuse for any other hotel in any other city in America. read more

Better location than the Hampton Inn location, but is an older property and there appears to have been very high staff turnover - not as professional as 'The Hammy' (Hampton Inn). Also, the continental breakfast is not as nice. However, the location is as good as it gets - across from the Frontier Mall (one of only three in WY), and is surrounded by predictable chains - Applebees, Chipotle, Chili's, Quiznos and Olive Garden are all within a 3-minute walk. As is L'Osteria and Big City Burrito and a 'Package Liquors' place. Yes, folks, I ocassionally eat at chain restaurants... but only when there's a lack of choice and/or I'm craving some childhood memory. read more

My room here was booked for me by my work. They are currently undergoing a complete remodel which I think will improve the overall rating of the place. There is plenty of parking. I had a room that was not yet remodeled and it had hideous green carpeting. It was fine for the few nights I was there but definitely nothing to write home about. I would have liked to see a remodeled room to see what changes they're making. Their breakfast was ok. They have the standard danishes, bagels, muffins, etc. but also have a waffle maker, biscuits and gravy and oatmeal. There is also a small fridge that had some little breakfast burritos and stuff in it. I was not overly impressed with breakfast because their breads were rather hard, bordering on stale, and one morning their orange juice was out. Their staff, however, was very pleasant. I even got a letter in my room addressed to me asking me to contact the manager if there's anything she could do to improve my stay. Nice touch! Location is great - right across the street from the mall, very close to a number of chain restaurants, 5 minutes from the airport. Breakfast = 6-9 am Pool hours = 6am - midnight read more

Hey, in terms of chain hotels I've seen the gauntlet of types of places you can end up with. This place was definitely one of the better ones I have been in and can't offer up any complaints. The place is very clean, the staff was friendly and I really didn't feel grossed out at all or feel like it wasn't up to par for this type of hotel. The room was pretty plain (obviously, it's a 2 star in Cheynne, WY) but very comfortable bed, HBO, and mini-fridge. Breakfast was really good too with a lot of hot menu items (if I haven't to eat one more stale bagel on the road I'm loosing it!) and healthier options like fruit and yogurt. I highly doubt I will ever find myself in Cheyenne, WY ever again...but if I do I'll probably end up back here for sure. read more

Used Priceline to book a 2 star hotel for under $50. And landed a bargain here. Located walking distance to many restaurant options. Such a nice surprise. Cookies at check-in desk. And had a room with a king size bed, but needed two beds. The staff is so overly nice...and accommodating, they easily changed me to another room. Pool/Jacuzzi open til midnight! I was shocked to see this. Breakfast in the morning was superb. Waffles/bagels/muffins/fruits/sandwiches/juice. Excellent choice to stay! read more

Well, there wasn't anything *too* bad about the hotel... beds were comfy and there was free breakfast ... But my gosh! stuck in the 80's like whoa! Green carpet, brass fixtures, pink bathroom and watercolor floral pictures everywhere. It was like I went back in time. As any road warrior will tell you; there are a few essentials for every hotel: 1) The internet was super fast 2) the bed was soft and comfortable - no dips or sagging areas 3) water pressure in the shower was perfect 4) the a/c blows as cold as you like The room was average sized but very clean. I loved the customer service! I loved the price I got on priceline! I loved the location! Room was very clean. The elevator was flithy. The bed was a little bit hard for my taste and the fridge was a bit noisy for some reason. Also the clorine in the sauna was so over powering I could not enjoy it. Still if felt good. If I got the same rate that I got this time I would soooo stay again. The customer service and pleasantness of the people at the desk made it feel like home. Apparently, the design team for this hotel didn't notice they were building right on one of the busiest freeways in the US. Road noise, as loud in the bathroom with no windows as in the room with a window. Nice enough, but not on par with other equivalent hotel spends. No sleep after a 12 hour drive. 1 TV shared by 2 rooms (swivel). A little on the cheap. Won't stay there again. To put a reward member in that particular room right against the road says to m: it doesn't pay to be loyal. read more

Meh. An older hotel that is showing its graying roots. Within walking distance of several restaurants (Olive Garden, Chipotle). Ample parking. The room seemed frayed- loose tiles in the bathroom. The free breakfast was OK. I didn't enjoy the large trash bag in the dining area, nor did I find the toilet with feces all over it ( I know it's a public toilet, but did the staff ever clean that restroom??) at all endearing. Amazing customer service! My husband and I broke down on a Sunday while driving cross country and our truck repairs weren't finished until Monday afternoon. The staff allowed us to check in early and stay late without giving it a second thought. We were comfortable in our room, the pool, the gym, and the lobby. This place is great. We needed a room for two nights last minuet and Fairfield was able to accommodate us. The room was very clean and modern. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They provided us with a crib for our baby free of charge. The free breakfast had a wide selection and was nicely laid out. We stayed here for 2 days last week for a business trip. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the free breakfast had a nice variety. Fresh fruit, waffles, scrambled eggs and bacon, cereal, etc.. I have stayed at many hotels, and no one has come even close to the level of customer service provided by the General Manager Delinda and her staff. As we checked in, Delinda was very helpful in giving us suggestions on places to dine at, as well as informing us about the hotels amenities. After we settled into our rooms, she called us to ask if there was anything else we needed to make out stay more comfortable. The next day I was pleasantly surprised to see a courtesy letter on my bed w/ chocolate mints, thanking us for our business. Each morning, Delinda would leave the front desk and walk up to our table as we ate breakfast to greet us and ask how we slept the night before! Another 1-night stay for us as we drove from Seattle to Colorado Springs, arriving there after a 600-mile drive. Good location with plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance. The over-achieving staff was wonderful. Our room was nice enough, but the bathroom was really cramped compared to our stay the previous evening at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Burley, Idaho and the cable TV service here in Cheyenne sucks SO bad!!! Maybe a couple dozen channels, just one of them basic HBO, all fed into the TV by a coax cable delivering the shittiest TV picture I have witnessed in a hotel in the last 20 years. Absolutely terrible. What is the point of having hi-def TVs in the rooms when all you're feeding into them is horrible analog signals? I mean, I just did 600 miles on the road...all I want to do is crash in my room and veg-out to some TV...can't you at least get THAT right??? C'mon, Man! read more
