We had a business meeting in Cheyenne and our partners suggested the Springhill as their go-to hotel. We are Platinum Elites so Springhill is a great choice for smaller cities. Spacious room that was updated with the new decor package, located off I 80 with easy access to downtown Cheyenne restaurants. Everything about the property was great but what differentiated our stay was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. In particluar, we want to acknowledge Cassidy and Terry. Cassidy works the front desk and she went out of her way to let us use the on-site meeting room when a last minute change required us to find a place to meet. The room had more than enough space and had the required AV gear that allowed people to dial-in from around the country. We genuinely appreciate Cassidy for solving a significant problem for us before 8 am! We also want to thank Terry who works in the kitchen. Terry ensured the meeting room had water and coffee available for our meeting. Her smile was infectious and she ensured everyone was made to feel welcome. The hotel delivers on the Marriott Bonvoy promise of seamless hospitality but the staff made our experience exceptional. Well done to Cassidy and Terry! read more

Decent hotel, clean a little older. It's pretty what what you come to expect for Springhill Suites. The breakfast was smaller than usual. I had a few issues with my key card not working. The pool was nice it was inside. The gym was smaller than what I expected. The reason for the 3 stars is for the nose - vibration and hum when I had my head in the pillow. Non refundable. Cheyenne is not Las Vegas. Hospital stay before trip prevented the stay. When tried to contact the hotel - no response. Most normal hotels even if paying in advance give refund, or if 24 hours only forfeit one night, not the entire stay. BEWARE!! read more

Stopped in here after working all night and driving to Denver and was headed back to Minot. Travel agent booked the room. Some construction going on here. Had good weight room and indoor pool. Room was great. Staff was very helpful. Not far from the Luxury Dinner and train depot where the 4014 Bigboy is. It was really comfortable and quiet for rest. Hot water takes a bit to get to 3rd floor but was great. Breakfast the next day was good. I would stay here again without issue. read more

I am totally brand loyal and I certainly didn't expect the Ritz checking in but this was under par for a Springhill suites. Staff was very nice but that's where the positives end. The room was pretty clean however there was a nice brown stain on one of the towels. When we asked go get it replaced we were given a pool towel which is slightly bigger than a hand towel. The room could definitely use a little update especially the bed. Worst. Bed. Ever. Super duper soft. It wasn't like plush and fluffy. It was like old with a dip in the middle. Breakfast was the absolute worst I've ever experienced at a Marriott. Ever. The sausage patties lay in a pan of murky water so I skipped that one. The bread was harder than a rock. The woman was so sweet and replaced it for me. She definitely was the highlight of the hotel. OJ was out but again she remedied that. Fresh fruit included shriveled grapes (not quite raisins...or wine) and one lone apple. It was just disgusting. On a side note (and this didn't even affect my rating) none of our platinum status items were in our room. No extra towels, pillows, water etc. since that's a luxury and not expected it doesn't reflect how I feel about this property...it doesn't really need to. PRICE BEWARE! - Booking on their website will undercalculate the taxes. When I brought this to the hotel's attention, the general manager stated that the website calculates a 10% tax but the tax is actually 13%. I contacted Wyoming dept of Revenue who confirmed the tax is 13% but that it has been in effect for a very long time (well over a YEAR). The general manager was unwilling to adjust the bill to match the online price. This is a Marriott issue of not updating their tax rate within their website and instead deceiving customers and sticking them with the difference. read more

Elevator is out of service. Thermostats dont work. Doors with "auto deadlock", wont close when you leave the room. Front desk personnel are too casual, hanging out smoking with townies/friends in front of building, not running a business. Breakfast was fine. read more

One of the better options to stay in Cheyenne, WY. This town has many refineries and also headquarters of the company Sierra Trading, so there is no dearth of hotels. But don't expect to find a four seasons in this small town. This Springhill Suites hotel has a fresh look, rooms look updated with flat screen TVs, carpets seem new too! Like other Marriott hotels this one has a small but good gym and laundry facilities are also on premises, which we used. Breakfast is included in the room rate and ample parking space, though the spots right outside the front of the hotel seem to get filled pretty well in the evenings. Lobby area has grab and go section for food, fruits and snacks as well as a pretty well stocked refrigerated food section that also has a variety of TV dinner options. Verdict: all in all a really good place to stay in Cheyenne. Pro Tip: get coins for the laundry machines from the front desk. read more

The roads were bad and last night we were glad to be there, but Marriott could be and should be more consistent. This hotel is not as nice as the other Springhill Suites we have stayed at - the rooms don't even have the same layout. The room was very hot and we could not get it to cool off. As with some other Marriot brand hotels we have stayed at, breakfast doesn't start on Sat. until 7am so if you want to get on the road early "free breakfast" turns into "pay at McDonalds". I STILL DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THERE MUST BE POOL AND HOT TUB "HOURS" WHEN THERE IS NO SUPERVISION. You can drown at 10:am just the same as 6:am, right? I really would have appreciated being able to get up early, sit in the hot tub for a few minutes with a cup of coffee, then get a little breakfast and hit the road early. Renee made us feel like we were the most important people within the hotel. Renee helped us get some accessories for her room in addition to given us some outstanding food recommendations during our stay. Beds are super soft and the room is great. Little living room with a couch and table. TV that you can watch from the bed or the living room. Amazing shower!! You don't hear outside noise but the walls are a little thin you can hear the neighbors if they are loud. The neighbors did quite down so it wasn't to bad. The oatmeal is delicious but the eggs are a little dry. Sean at the front desk was very helpful in recommending a dinner place last night. We would stay here again. read more

Stranded by a Christmas Day blizzard that made driving the south bound 25 impassible, I lucked into this terrific hotel and its wonderful staffers, Stephanie and Cary. Newer property, rooms fairly priced, well laid-out, met all of my needs. Comfy bed. Less than 10 minutes to the state Capitol. Plenty of restaurants in area. Usually LOVE Springhill Suites.. sadly disappointed. First elevator call button does not work on the second floor so you have to call down and have the front desk person send it up... however they only have one person at the front desk so I waited along time ( I only used it when I had bags other wise you take the stairs). Just very frustrating because it has been out at least 2 weeks. 2nd Front desk person made my key for one night so with all my stuff I had to come back down to be lectured by the front desk person about not keeping my key near my phone... I don't... add the frustration of the elevator issue and had work stuff and take out that got cold dealing with a loooong wait for the elevator. (The key issue occurred every day I was there in clouding the first day as I took my suitcase up. 3rd... asked EVERY day could someone please come replace the burned out light in the bathroom... that NEVER got done.. apparently they are sharing a maintenance person with the Hilton property across the street.... I think that may be part of the issue with the elevator. Next time I will stay at Hilton... I guess what adds to my frustration is no one cared or even tried to do anything .... read more

pros: pretty clean- lobby has a slight odd smell but nothing too bad. there's a little shop in the lobby with snacks and stuff for convenience. staff was all very friendly and helpful. they've taken a lot of precautions where covid is concerned, but they have breakfast, the pool, & the fitness center open!! so nice to have some sort of normalcy!! room was clean & bed and couch were comfortable. cons: walls a little dirty & corners in the shower were a little gross. nothing horrible though. husband was disappointed in the pillows... pretty flat. :/ overall an enjoyable stay & would recommend. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I was booked for two nights with a local cattle show. First night, I was up most of the night listening to the RATS in the vent in my bathroom. I told the front desk the next day and maintenance came up to check (and heard the rodents). THEY DID NOTHING! AFTER I asked, they said someone "could get out the next day". After not sleeping that night, I was exhausted!!!! Second night, only heard a little bit of scurrying by the RATS (I shut the bathroom door), but then was awakened before 6 am with a startle with a ton of construction going on in the room above me. No sleeping for me! I went to the front desk AGAIN and they still would do nothing! They said that it states on the website the construction, which it does not; I even searched the website while I was on their computer in the lobby. They refused to even give me a discount for the room for either nights. The front desk lady was very nice and felt bad for me but could not do a thing. MANAGEMENT CHOSE not to help out. Next year, my entire team, and anyone who listens will not be staying at this hotel; or ever again! read more

My daughter and I stayed overnight on our way back from a college visit in Laramie. I am usually a Hyatt girl, but alas, no Hyatt properties in Cheyenne! So, Marriott it is. We chose Springhill Suites because we wanted a little more space. We loved that not only did we have comfy queen beds waiting for us, but a huge bathroom, microwave, fridge, and free wifi, too. Also, the towels were super-fluffy which is always a plus! We had Paul Mitchell amenities waiting for us (yay!), but apparently they aren't replaced every visit because the shampoo was half full (boo!) Unfortunately, we were on the freeway side right next to the elevator. While we didn't hear much from the road overnight, we did hear a loud "ding" every time someone called the elevator. All. Night. Long. We also noticed that the air conditioner was way too loud as well. The breakfast was on par with what you'd get at a Courtyard or a Hyatt Place - oatmeal with tons of toppings, fresh fruit (though underripe), rolls and bagels, and cereal and yogurt. They also had a make your own waffle station (didn't try it) as well as scrambled eggs (looked like standard powdered ones.) I think what really knocks this down a star for me though is the staff. When we arrived, we saw a couple of staffers (badges worn proudly) sitting out front texting and smoking cigarettes. Same pair was out there when we left for dinner an hour later. And, the next morning, it was pretty clear the night auditor had a bad shift - younger bald fella with a mustache and beard. How did we know? Well, he was explaining exactly how bad the night was to the morning desk clerk loud enough that everyone in the breakfast area could hear him (Oh, and "Cesar", if you read these reviews - may want to make sure that all the rooms have clean towels before you sit around texting, because night auditor is on to you. He made sure the morning clerk and EVERYONE IN THE BREAKFAST ROOM knew!) A-OK sums it up. Not thrilled about the shampoo issue and the elevator noise, but it was just for a night so I can live with that. Really not thrilled about the cruddy attitude of your staff, though. read more

I don't know why it's the hotel staff responsibility to wake Michael up from his nap in the lounge area, so he can check in. Hmm...he had been up since 0300 and he couldn't get a room prior to 1400, so he fell asleep in the lounge area and people had checked in before him. So what? You got a room right? Based on this review, I'm sure that you were the friendliest guest that the hotel staff had ever encountered...and I have no idea why they were unpleasant to you! 2. Free Hotel internet = Enough bandwidth to check email and browse the internet. The internet was fine here. It was actually decent enough to watch youtube. I don't know if you expect the hotel to offer enough free bandwidth to allow everybody in the hotel to watch Netflix or you were just pissed that you couldn't watch "movies" in your room...but the internet was fine. Most hotels offer higher speed internet for a fee...be a man, shut up and pay the fee if you cannot function without high speed internet. And, I don't understand why Michael was so upset that the hotel staff didn't call him at midnight to notify him that the internet was back up and running after the storm knocked it out. 3. Michael = waaaaaaa!!! OH NO, you had to take the ironing board out every day and unwrap the cord for the iron because housekeeping kept putting it away. And OH NO...there was a lifesaver stuck on the couch that housekeeping missed..WAAA!! Call housekeeping! Believe it or not, they are human and you know what...sometimes they make mistakes. 4. I don't even know how to respond to this. You are the whiny bitchy guest from hell that all hotels hate. Now, here are my thoughts on this hotel: 1. Cheyenne is not that big, so you can get to nearly anywhere in Cheyenne from this hotel within 10-15 minutes. It took me about 10 minutes with no traffic to get to the Chipotle by Frontier Mall. 2. They offer a free breakfast. Its a typical free breakfast that offers some pre-made hot food, cereal, yogurt, fruit and breads. Not great, but its free. 3. My room had a L shaped couch sitting area and a king size bed. My room was located on the opposite side of the freeway, so I couldn't hear any of the highway noise. My room was clean and as of 12-01-14 there was no construction in the hotel. 4. Gym was small w/ I think 2 treadmills and 1 elliptical machine. 5. Internet was free. Decent enough to check email and browse internet. 6. As of 12-01-14, the pool and hottub was closed. If you need this, I would call the hotel to verify it is open. Maybe they are renovating it after Nick B's review about rednecks having sex in the hot tub. Clean and spacious rooms. Noisy airconditioning and upstair neighbours. Could hear every step. No problems with outside noise. But our room didn't face the highway. Breakfast buffet was half empty about 8:15/30 am. Ran out of most of the fresh fruit, ham and cheese, slices of bread and only 3 hardboiled eggs left. No refill. Just sweets, bagels, oatmeal, scrambled eggs and yoghurt. WiFi was slow and spotty. And it looked like it was only available on Apple devices. Non existent for Android users. Hubby was not amused. A solid choice when in the Cheyenne area. The rooms are quiet despite being close to the Interstate. The check-in staff is friendly and helpful. A bottled water, chocolate and a welcoming note awaits in your room. The TVs in the room are nice, large flat screens that can easily be turned whether you are in the living room or bedroom areas. For breakfast, there's a wide variety to choose from including: cereal, Greek yogurt, eggs, bagels, etc. The oatmeal condiments include: dried cranberries, almonds, and pumpkin seeds (pepitas). The exercise room is a bit small; only room for a couple of treadmills and that's it. If the weather is nice, there's a walking/running/biking trail nearby. read more

This is a newer hotel on the outskirts of Cheyenne, with friendly staff and nice rooms. I have stayed here several times, and I can tell you that the staff are very friendly and aim to please, and the hotel itself is newer, and in good shape. The rooms are large, with a nice desk/working area, a couch, a mini-bar with fridge, and a larger shower/bathroom area. My room did not have a tub. The beds are firm, and they give you a ton of pillows! The rooms are quiet as far as I can tell...the hotel is near the highway, however, I have stayed here multiple times and have not had a problem with traffic noise, etc. They have a little market for drinks and snacks that is open 24 hours, and a free basic breakfast. However, there is no bar or restaurant in this hotel. Downtown is just about a mile away, with many places to eat and visit...so the location is quite good! This is a nice, comfy spot to spend the night...and the staff are super friendly! read more

We rented a room and I could not use none of my movie apps in the room I called the front desk and they said nothing is wrong on their part but as soon as I went outside the building they worked I told them and they said it was my phone but I told them well then something's wrong with my phone, my husband's phone and my daughter's Kindle I also had late check-out and at 11 they were knocking with a do not disturb sign on the door and I was in the middle of getting dressed when they used their key my daughter got to the door just in time. They asked if we were staying another night I said no then he said checkout is at 11 I told him I had a late check-out. I go here once to twice a year but do to this and also the overnight front desk clerk Being really snobby I might just switch hotels and also the breakfast wasn't too good this time. read more

Good Hotel, clean room, and nice comfortable beds. I have stayed in many many hotels, and my priorities when opening the door are: clean bathroom, clean room, sleepable beds. The hotel met all 3. We were there for 3 nights. We were just arriving from an overseas flight, which happened to misplace or luggage. The staff provided us with a full supply of personal hygiene items that would last us for days. Even items off the shelves of their little shop...free of charge! Breakfast was good. On the Saturday of our stay, they ran out of food and was not replenished as fast as you would expect. Our room faced the highway, and we had no issued with the noise. Wifi worked fine, but needed to re-log in daily. We had a good experience, and the kids did not complain. read more

Ugh. Unfortunately this was not a great experience. The room was VERY, VERY loud, we could hear the highway noise and slamming doors and music ALL NIGHT long. I'm a light sleeper and had super strong ear plugs in and I could still hear the noise which is quite impressive! The bed was super hard and uncomfortable for me. The layout of the room is nice, with an extra side room with a couch. If you're a heavy sleeper and you like hard beds it may work for you :) but I'll never be back. Really great hotel option in Cheyenne. Close enough to town and one of the newer hotels in the area. Their rooms feel really nice because of one little difference than the normal room - there's a half wall between the couch area and the beds. Really good beds, spacious bathroom and big tvs. Good closets. They have a very decent breakfast and good exercise room as well. On the exercise room, there are 3 pieces of equipment to use - 2 treadmills and one eliptical. I would stay at other Spring Hill Suites in other places of travel for work or vacation. read more

New and pretty but lacking in service. Here for 2 nights on business. I'm a great sleeper but had a poor night the first night due to constant freeway noise and the super loud HVAC cycling on and off all night. Then, after a long tiring work day, came back to find the room exactly as I left it - no housekeeping service at all, and no, I didn't put the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. Coffee pot still on, bed unmade, towels on the floor. Front desk was apologetic and have me self-serve supplies. Second sleepless night. Breakfast has good variety but very inattentive - empty oatmeal, low supplies - I mean how can you have a peppermill with no peppercorns in it- it's not like people use pepper so fast you don't notice it's empty. Marriott gold here, and I guess I'm used to a higher level of operational oversight. Can't say I recommend this property till they get their act together. read more

The hotel is nice, apart from one glaring problem: it is built right next to the highway, and the sound damping is inadequate. Not a bad place to stay if you can sleep through trucks screaming by at 75 mph and endless engine braking. The hotel did not state this fault in advance, and was unable to move me to another room. The staff was rude about it. They are aware of the problem because they give the highway-facing rooms a white noise generator and ear plugs(!). Sorry, but that's not the way to fix the problem. When I first entered the room I thought the window was open it was so loud. It wasn't. As soon as they install proper sound damping widows this might be a nice place to stay. I was in the parking lot preparing to go check in, but there was this guy watching me, and walking around the lot in circles, eye balling me, lingering in the lot. And I had a car full of stuff. So stayed in the car and called the hotel, asked to speak to the manager, stated my name. I asked the manager, Tim, if they had any security who cruised the parking lot during the night (I felt unsafe and was worried about break ins). He said he 'could not share that information'. After spending a week in the previous city in a hostel with no air conditioning this hotel room felt like an oasis. read more
