Jordan reached out to me a few days later. They actually honor all military with that rate. He said he had talked to his staff about this policy. He also fully refunded my stay. He went above and beyond to make things right. There seams to be a mistake and everyone makes mistakes. Sorry for the miscommunication and misunderstanding. We booked the Comfort Inn and Suites as a layover stop on the way to Colorado for vacation. We were traveling with our small dog Maci. This is one of the few places that accepts dogs as guests. I have severe anxiety and frequently travel with my dog. I booked the military rate as a Veteran. I didn't see it was active duty only. I am not sure why that matters as we have all served our country and sacrificed a lot. The gal at the front desk gave me the riot act. I didn't feel welcome to Wyoming. Instead I felt like I didn't belong here as a Veteran. I would not consider this a Veteran Friendly Hotel. She did honor the rate, but her attitude was very unprofessional. In my thirty years of staying in hotels and at one time spending over two hundred days a year in one. This gal had the worst customer service attitude. In my opinion she should have just said I just want to let you know this rate is only for active duty personnel and I will honor the rate. Instead she made me feel like I was an idiot. The scene she made in front of other guests made me never want to stay at a Comfort Inn. The one guest came up to me afterwards and said thank you for your service and sorry you were treated that way. I know it's hard to find good employees, but customer service should be your #1 priority. You should make the person feel welcomed and value them as a customer. You should be respectful to everyone. There is no need to make a huge deal out of something so piddly as a rate. I even offered to pay whatever the room rate was so she would stop berating me. I honestly felt humiliated for choosing that rate at the hotel. I will definitely try to read things better. Instead of a positive experience I walked away with a very negative impression that the Comfort Inn and Suites hates Veterans. The room was nice. The only thing was this was a pet friendly room and they must not clean very well. My girl wanted to mark everywhere and you could see all the stains from previous pets on the carpet. The AC worked awesome. The bed is OK. It's not super soft and more firm. The pillows are like any at a hotel. They go flat as soon as you lay down on them. The rooms are noisy and you can hear doors slamming. This caused my Dog to bark. I did my best to keep her quiet, but doors closing during the night startled her and she would bark. Sorry. The bathroom was horrible. Whoever came up with this layout needs fired. The door is in the way of the toilet and shower. Door must be closed whenever using the restroom. The shower is on the opposite end of the door so you are guaranteed to get a nice cold surprise when turning on the water. The pressure was not good. Did have hot water so that's good. If not for the front desk experience I would rate this as a 3 star hotel. read more

We normally drive to Laramie to break up our drive. However the hotel prices on 12/29 were more then double what we normally pay. $315 vs $140. We decided to look for a Pet friendly hotel in Cheyenne using Bring Fido. I found Comfort Inn and Suites in Cheyenne and I doubt we will stay in Laramie again. The two people checking us in on the 12/29 were so pleasant and engaging. I was bringing plants home that would not survive the cold. They happily stored them for me. They asked if they could give my dog Hamish a treat and he ws delighted. I felt like the Queen rolling in with her Corgi's. I give a huge shout out to the two "kids" working the front desk at 6pm on 12/29. Breakfast the next morning was an upscaled version of the standard Hotel breakfast, but they offered a lot more choices. My husband enjoys having breakfast first thing in the morning and he was happy to see Eggs, Sausage, Biscuits & Gravy and Waffles. They also had plenty of cereal choices. So many hotels these days just offer Waffles, so this was a welcome surprise. Comfort In was probably the best bang for a buck that you can get. read more

The Comfort Inn & Suites in SE Cheyenne was beautiful. The food was excellent and the room was comfortable, UNTIL we went to sleep. The bed was hard and lumpy. We were in room 127, which was below the lobby. It sounded like people were moving furniture above our heads until 2 am and it started again at 5 am. We had so little sleep that we decided to go home after a full-day conference, even though it was a seven-hour drive, rather than stay at the hotel again. Other rooms in this hotel would not have the issues we had. Say NO to room 127 if you came to sleep because you won't get much sleep in that room. read more

My boyfriend and I stayed for free at this Comfort Inn & Suites using my Choice Hotel points in July, 2020. I have to say, the positive reviews for this hotel are right on point. We had an excellent experience. We were warmly greeted at check in by a female staff member at the front desk who was wearing a mask. This is so important during this time of Covid-19, and made me feel at ease immediately that they are taking the pandemic seriously. Our room was huge! We got a free upgrade to a suite. It was so nice. Everything seemed clean and new. There was a separate sitting area and a massive television. The breakfast was served by a very attentive staff member (also wearing a mask). There were several hot items available, as well as yogurt, bagels, etc. We were able to get as much as we wanted to eat. We would definitely stay at this Comfort Inn & Suites next time we are in the Cheyenne area. This is an exceptional hotel. read more

Traveling thru Wyoming we visited the same Comfort Suites Inn. I called and spoke with Sandy. She was very busy but handled things like a pro. Sandy got us set up within just a few minutes. The place is a short trip off the interstate which is great when you're "on the road". When we arrived she greeted us and recognized our names. She actually stepped out front to show us the best place to park our truck and trailer. It was perfect because it was right across from our rooms window. Sandy was so nice and accommodating and really made us feel welcome. The Inn looks nice inside and out, clean and nicely decorated. Our dog friendly room was perfect, clean and had everything we would need. The beds were very comfortable as well. It was quiet and we were able to get a great nights sleep. They had the breakfast area all set and ready to go. There was plenty of good food to get us ready for the day. Ms Sandy was awesome! Thanks!! read more

The hotel staff was so friendly and kind! They went out of their way to help. The room location was very convenient for me and my dog. My only complaint is the entire first floor smelled like pool chemicals, so the inside of my first floor room had a very strong chemical smell that was hard to ignore. The staff have all been super nice and courteous. Especially Luke whom I spoke with on the phone. I have no complaints there. The room we got was a pet room despite having no pets and it wreaks of pet urine so bad. It was hard to sleep the smell was so awful. The hallway to the rooms smelled of pool and just gross. Not sure what but it trigger a migraine between both smells. It seemed clean except dog hair on the comforters and also, there were so many black hairs in the tub and on the shower wall. It was really gross. So cleaning can tighten up a bit. And if I stay again I'll make sure to demand a no pet room. Editing to reflect that I seriously do love the staff here. Explained to them our experience and the girl at the desk was so apologetic and gave us extra award points on our rewards account. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had.. the initial front desk staff was courteous after that the staff were rude, the management especially rude and if you sleep in a few minutes late they knock on your doors like Nazis and scream at you like you're a child and then give you a $250 charge fraudulently claiming you smoked in your (I don't even smoke!) i've never felt so disrespected by hotel staff and the management actually seemed like he wanted to fight me for sleeping in! Here is the deal: I am Hilton diamond member but the only Hilton brand hotel in Cheyenne is a Hampton which doesn't allow dogs. I chose this Comfort Inn based on yelp reviews and am so thrilled that I did. The customer service here is top notch. They must really implement their training program and hold their employees accountable. My dog was given a bag of treats and greeted every time she walked by and employee. They have fresh cookies and popcorn by the front desk as well as a fool complementary breakfast in the morning. The breakfast included strawberry waffles that you make fresh, hot bacon, hot hashbrowns, chocolate milk and donuts. Everything worked in the room and it was super clean. The hallways were clean and the elevator was clean. I have no issues with this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in town. read more

So I couldn't understand why this place has such rave reviews - but now I know. It's the staff. Every single person was pleasant, courteous and kind. When we arrived at night the check in clerk, when we woke up the check out clerk, when we ate breakfast our server, and even the cleaning staff were consistently smiling while offering to help however they could. This hotel is so clean and nice. We brought our dog and they were very accommodating. Pets stay on the first floor where the pool is. It was very quiet. The only complaint I have is all the dog poop outside. They need to enforce the poop and scoop rule. Other than that I will still rate a 5 star. read more

My family and I have two Service dogs with us, and we are all SEVERELY allergic to cats. We were told that Service animals are considered as "REGULAR PETS," and that we would "have to stay on the pet floor in a pet room." We went in to check out the rooms, and what we found was what smelt like several wet dogs that had rolled all over the room with the smell of cat spray, along with cheap beds... We ended up getting a refund and leaving the hotel, thankfully. Just from being in the two rooms for less than a few moments, all of our eyes are red and itchy, and our throats hurt from the cat allergies! After telling the front desk clerk that we were considerate enough to tell him about our service animals and that service animals are not considered as pets, he informed us in a very angry and sarcastic voice, that "there were cameras and that if we would've been caught with animals without informing anyone, Service animals or not, then we would've been fined $500..." He also mentioned that "the rules of the hotel along with their lawyer does not allow service animals on other floors..." He also stated that "Another hotel down the road (I won't mention the name) charged outrageously, and didn't allow service pets, and that they (the hotel down the road) sends them all of the people who have animals to their hotel." YET when we called the hotel down the road, they were not expensive, and they definitely allow service animals! Whoever runs this building, has no sympathy for those with disabilities, who REQUIRE service animals. I pity you, and hope that your business does not shut down from your lack of empathy and concern for cleanliness. I'm not sure what type of lawyer you have, or if you even have one, but you need a new one if he's telling you what you've been telling others. One day, someone who actually has the time to sue you for your subjugation of service animals, will come along and call you out on your fictional fairy tale of misinformation. I have PTSD, not that it's anyone's business, but if I happened to someone who has a much worse case, then your entire building would be SHUT DOWN! Not to mention, my younger sibling, who battles type one juvenile diabetes and, seizures, and my mother who has to torn meniscus! Below are the rules for service pets. "Can hotels assign designated rooms for guests with service animals, out of consideration for other guests? A: No. A guest with a disability who uses a service animal must be provided the same opportunity to reserve any available room at the hotel as other guests without disabilities. The hotel will charge you card a $100 above your room price in case you break or steal. They call it incidentals! The $100 stays on your card for 4 days.. The hotel does not explain this when you check in. You have to ask ! Breakfast is poor. Sausage not completely cooked and mushy potatoes. Instant oatmeal tasted like it was old. The hotel does just what the need to so they can call it breakfast! Rooms are clean. Toilet paper is paper thin. We will not be spending another night here. Not worth the money when you can get a good breakfast and no extra charges at a hotel down the street. read more

5-stars for this level of hotel. A no-brainer if you're staying in Cheyenne and don't want go go full on "upscale". The facilities are very clean and well-maintained, the rooms are spacious -- but there are some pretty cool extras: -- A grill and patio out back that some folks were using as we rolled in. Looked fun, but we were beat. -- Couldn't hear a damn thing through any of the walls or from outside -- worry not about the relative location of major roads. -- While we didn't use the pool, we DID use the hot tub, which was not crowded or awkward at least when we were there. It was very well maintained, and the chlorine content was high enough to make me feel safe without burning my eyes for the trouble. Really, a great night's sleep after a long day's drive, a nice relaxing hot tub, and a friendly and attentive front desk staff? Can not complain. read more

First a shout-out: Tracy is an outstanding front desk manager - very pleasant, friendly and helpful. This is the best Comfort Inn that I have ever stayed at. There are several added touches that make you feel comfortable, welcome and important on arrival such as warm fresh cookies and complimentary beverages and even a fire pit and nice barbecue grill available for guest usage. The hotel itself if very clean - like brand new clean - and all of the features are modern. For the price, I feel like this Comfort Inn goes above and beyond. Again I want to emphasize how friendly the staff here have been. As someone who is driving cross-country and has stayed at several Comfort Inn's in the past week, I can say that this location is the best of the best. This was a nice, clean hotel. The indoor swimming pool is perfect for a small family and they have a great outdoor seating area with grill and fire-pit. We had a well-appointed clean room, oddly the first hotel room in some time without a bathtub. The shower was spacious and clean so we didn't miss a bathtub at all. The breakfast was really great for continental-style. The thing that put this hotel over the top was the excellent employees. Every one of them was friendly and helpful. This is not a 5 star hotel, but it definitely deserves 5 stars on Yelp. We were passing through Cheyenne during a two week road trip with two dogs. Many places we end up staying that are dog friendly are a bit worn. Not this place! Starting with the staff at check in - everyone here was very friendly. Not fake friendly like "i have to do this, it's my job" but sincerely kind and happy people who liked their jobs. This makes a huge difference on one's experience. Lobby and rooms were very clean and up to date. At check in they even pointed me to the convenient dog grassy area and poop bags. Plus, the hotel has an outdoor patio and bbq pit for us by those who stay with them. Although it's close to the highway, we did not hear any noise from the road or from our neighbors down the hall or upstairs. Not even a door closing down the hall. All around GREAT experience here. I will definitely seek out Comfort Inns the next time I travel. read more
