We love Marriott properties and have stayed at properties across the US. Problem is, we usually leave feeling like we are far more loyal to them than they are to us. Tonight, we were greeted by the friendliest front desk staffer that we have ever met. Taylor welcomed us by saying that she was looking forward to taking care of us upon our arrival. She thanked us for our loyalty to Marriott, acknowledged our Elite status and made sure that we left for our room with bottles of water. Talk about feeling the Marriott warm and fuzzies!Thank you, Taylor for the BEST check in that we have experienced at any Marriott property, and your beautiful smile and warm welcome truly made our stay memorable. read more

Started off well until I got into the room and found the SMALLEST queen bed ever. I think when I was in college I had a bed that small. Only then, we called it a full. At what point did truth in advertising go out the window so bad that they call these things "queen" beds. The room was clean and they had the recent fad of pump soap to save the hotel money (not me). But trying to get out of the hotel was a comedic event. Only one elevator with a house cleaner and her cart riding it up and down a half dozen times only letting two people on a trip was quite entertaining. I reached out 48 hours in advance of my check-in requesting a top floor room. I understand Marriott doesn't guarantee a room request. But I also doubt you had that many titanium members that made the same request with a 48 hour lead time. At 3:45 I checked in. Listed 3pm as my check in time. No digital key prior to arrival. When I checked in I was told 3rd floor. I asked to be moved to the first. The clerk didn't seam to know how to do to. Also didn't even say sorry for the inconvenience. Get to the room. Had to call down as changing the channels didn't work. The internet tv didn't work (and I'd bet it didn't happen that day but has been an ongoing issue). The picture of Eddy Murphy isn't after he got a prison tear tatt, but a constant yellow blemish on the tv. I doubt that happen the stay before. I would bet it's been identified. As a member who stays over 130 times a year (and it's only September) I was extremely disappointed in this property. I detailed the experience to the management and sales team. The sales team got back to me. Management never did. It's sad the state of some of these properties and the way loyal members are treated. I'd look elsewhere!! read more

My catalytic converter was stolen off of my truck and several other peoples. I dont fault the hotel for this. When I went to get the security footage, as I parked right in front of it and would show clearly who did it, I was told I couldn't have it. That I would have to file with the hotel, then a police report, then back with the hotel then MAYBE they could give it. Meanwhile the idiots that stole it were sitting in the parking lot casing for the next night... dont stay here if you dont want your car towed away 1 catalytic converter lighter. read more

My stay here was great! Check-in was super easy. The room itself wasn't anything fancy and was a little outdated stylistically, but it was clean and there was a lot of space, so it was perfect for me and my girlfriend. It even had two TVs! The bathroom was also really nice, which is what's most important to me. The gym wasn't extravagant, but it had enough equipment for a decent workout and was well-maintained. My brother had his jeep trackhawk stolen right off of their property last night and neither the staff or manager cared about the situation and refused to help or get the security cam footage. Many people on Facebook stolen vehicle DFW group have similar experiences and believe their staff is in on the heists and get a cut by allowing people to get away with these crimes and being of no help to the victims. Please stay away from this hotel if you value your belongings. read more

When I stayed here, they have barely been open for two weeks. GPS didn't quite always successfully find the location, so just know that this is in the newer section of Cockrell Hill Rd which is just north of I-30. (The front desk lady suggested that I map myself to the IHOP which is just down the street from it.) The hotel is beautiful. The lobby area is open and modern, complete with a communal wooden table, and outlets for charging. The fitness center includes a Brita filtration system and basic machines. The breakfast choices are nothing to write home about - EXCEPT FOR THE TEXAS SHAPED WAFFLES. Wuuuhhh??? That's right. I got to EAT texas while IN texas. =) The design choices in my normal room were thoughtful. Outlets were plentiful and not hidden behind furniture. The alarm clock had a USB charger in case you forgot your adaptor. The shelving unit that held the TV had a lowered section which was PERFECT for your carry on luggage. The closet was smaller but PERFECT for the traveler which wants to hang some items, but then had a long knob adjacent to it that you could hang your coats (just outside the closet door but within the closet unit). The "living room" are had it's own TV, adjustable coffee table, adjustable desk, and a comfortable couch. The restroom had a backlit mirror and a halfwall for the toilet area. The walk-in shower knob was placed so that you could turn on the water without getting yourself all wet. Wonderful design choices in the bedroom to increase functionality and comfort. The customer service was just phenomenal. Everyone was friendly... They recognized me, they gave me good courteous conversation and laughs. I couldn't have asked for more from the front desk and housekeeping. You really got the sense that they cared about their job and were into the hospitality side of the hospitality business. LOVE IT! I'll be back if i could. Definitely a great hotel option for the greater DFW area. read more

I reserved a room through a 3rd party and reserved the wrong address. Agreed that was my fault. I called to see what my options were and the GM JAMILLA CARTER was very unprofessional she hung up on me 3 times and would not give me a chance to speak. I then called corporate and they explained what to do and to call the 3rd party. She could of said this instead of acting the way she did. For being a GM she needs to learn social skills in which she lacks. This place as long as she is there will never get my business. read more

First, let me apologize to the staff for just now leaving this review. I was in Dallas for a convention Nov. 16-17. Though I had to cut my stay short, I very much enjoyed my stay there. Now, when I took the survey from the parent company Marriott, they posted my review on their page, but had me as "anonymous". I left the following review: "Clean hotel, excellent staff, food wasn't bad...I really enjoyed my stay!! Did I mention the staff was excellent, notably JRU (I only remember his initials), Blessed, and Peaches. I'm definitely looking forward to the next trip!!!!" Since I was leaving other Yelp reviews here today, I finally remembered to leave one for this hotel, or should I say elaborate on the review that is up on the hotel website: I got there way early, as I was trying to surprise my sister and catch her when I was in Dallas. As I do not travel often, I did not realize that there might not be rooms available when I checked in (duh). However, the young gentleman whose initials were JRU let me wait in their lobby area until a room became available. Thank you for that, by the way. That gesture really helped, as I just sat there enjoying my coffee and graded papers (I'm a college lecturer). While I was waiting, one of the staff members, Peaches, engaged me in pretty meaningful conversation. I told her a bit about my family, she told me about hers, and we just talked about life in general, in addition to her making sure that I didn't need anything else (I came during breakfast time). You ever meet people in life that's been through life and there's meaning in what she tells you? Peaches is that person. I very much enjoyed her conversation. Also, Blessed was the young lady that so sweetly answered my questions when I was booking my stay back in August; and she was just as sweet in person. You ever get around people that just brightens your mood? She is that type of person. The room was spotless, everything worked as it should, and honestly I liked my stay though I had to cut my trip short by two days. Now, I just found a closely-related cousin I didn't know about who lives there near Dallas in addition to my sister...so when I come back down, I'll be coming back here. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay here. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. We booked a room with a king bed for three nights. The location of this hotel was perfect because it was right off the freeway, located near a shopping plaza w/a bunch of restaurants, about 15 min away from downtown Dallas, and about 20 min away from Dallas Love Field airport. I definitely have to say that this is one of the newer and nicer hotels we've stayed at compared to other Marriott properties. The hotel is well-maintained, clean, and modern in decor. We found our room to be tidy and spacious. The room included a microwave, mini fridge, desk, flat screen tv, and a large bathroom with plenty of counter space. Major perks of this hotel- free parking, complementary breakfast, indoor pool, fitness area, laundry room, and free WiFi. What really stood out the most during our stay was the hospitality we received while we stayed at Fairfield. Although everyone was very nice and easy to talk to, Belvergean (who checked us in at the front desk) was phenomenal. She was nice, extremely courteous, and made us feel welcomed the second we walked through the door. Since we got into Dallas a lot earlier than we planned, we asked if it was possible to do an early check in. She was more than happy to do it for us. Because we requested to check in early, the only available room was an ADA room. We've stayed in ADA rooms before at other hotels; however, the only problem we came across was how wet the bathroom floor can get after taking a shower. My boyfriend nearly slipped and fell because of the wet floor at a hotel we stayed at in the past. So when my boyfriend asked if there was a possibility of switching rooms, she said would call us if there were any availabilities. She called us not too long after and asked if we were still interested since there is a possibility that a room will open up. My boyfriend told her that we're willing to change rooms and she said she'll call us back once it's ready. She called us again and confirmed that we can move rooms whenever we were ready. What impressed me was how Belvergean was very proactive in ensuring that we were comfortable with our room and even followed up to make sure everything was ok with the room. It was really nice of her to accommodate our request for a regular room with a king size bed. This is a great hotel with excellent customer service. Checking out was super quick and easy using the Marriott mobile app. The next time we come back to Dallas, we will be sure to stay here again. I highly recommend this place! read more

The hotel and rooms were nice and clean. Staff was friendly. I wouldn't stay here if you are looking for a good night's sleep. The noise level in this hotel is terrible. You can hear your neighbors TV sound anyone walking down the hallways. There are trains that go by late in the night. We heard atleast 3 go by after midnight. I booked through bookings and realized there was a closer hotel by my family. I tried to cancel and it said it was too close to check in and would not be allowed. I than went on to call the property and the lady (mary) said very rudely she could not help because it was through a third party which I understand however, my card was charged by the hotel. So bookings told me to call the hotel and they refused to reimburse me even though I did not stay there. I was charged a full 137. The customer service was terrible and very hard to get a hold of someone. I was on hold for at least 30 min two times before getting a hold of someone. I feel the situation was handled poorly and hopefully the actual stay there is better than the shit show customer service I recieved over the phone. I ended up staying at the double tree by Hilton and received great service and turns out the hotel was nicer as well. read more

This hotel may not be in the middle of the action but I highly recommend it. Every single staff member I interacted with was absolutely wonderful! Everyone was friendly, courteous, and accommodating. Blessed, at the front desk, and the woman who ran the breakfast bar in the mornings were especially fantastic! Speaking of breakfast, the spread they put out in the mornings is great. Eggs, omelets, bacon, bagels, pastries, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, a make your own waffle station. I could go on. My room and the bathroom were spacious, well appointed, and very clean. The bed was comfy; the shower was great; and having a microwave, mini fridge, and desk in the room made my stay more comfortable. There's also a nice fitness center with a filtered water station and indoor pool. In short, if your going to be in the area, you should book your stay here! read more

Booked this hotel for it being a new Fairfield Inn & Suites which is a first for me however I enjoy Marriotts comfortable beds and I'm no stranger to the Fairfield chain of hotels. This hotel is located near Walmart and many restaurants along IH 30 and is only 10 minutes away from downtown Dallas and about 10 minutes from Arlington for the Rangers game. The hotel is very modern, staff is very courteous and attentive and room was spotless. If your an Elite Marriott Rewards member your given a free available upgrade to a suite all at no additional cost which was a plus for my stay. The a/c was a bit noisy, everything else in the room was perfect with their comfortable beds however their closet space was limited. Breakfast was average for Fairfield Inn hotel standards, indoor pool is small but the fitness gym is spacious with three treadmills and weights and filtered water dispenser inside. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for their prompt service, clean rooms, and courteous staff, will consider on my next Dallas adventure. read more

My grandmother and I had to stay here when the Texas electrical grid went down. The hotel is clean. The staff is nice. Due to my grandmother using a walker I asked for a handicapped room. These rooms allow for more space if someone is in a wheelchair etc. She liked the hotel, the restroom was very spacious and she felt very comfortable. However the beds are the same height as in a regular room. She was unable to get into the bed by herself and unable to lift her legs to the bed. My grandmother has to get up approximately 3 times a night to use the restroom, each time I had to lift her legs into the bed and adjust her body to ensure she was secure. Very frustrating as the handicapped accessible room should be tailored for someone who has limitations and overall it is not. Let's not get into how they increased prices from $100 a night to $249 a night due to the scarcity of hotel rooms due to so many people without power. read more

This is a newer hotel, it is clean, the staff is helpful and friendly. A reasonable nightly rate and is located very close to the highway. Staying at your hotel has been one of the worst experiences in my life. First, of all when I got there my room was not ready and the front desk lady told me that she was going to come into the room with me because she was not finished cleaning. Take in mind that the front desk person also had other people to check in. That next morning I woke up with a red mark on my arm and I explained to her that I think there might be some type of bug in the room. She said that the maintenance when in and saw nothing. Obviously the bugs weren't there when he went in there. The lady didn't even offered to change my room or anything, instead she looked at me like I was crazy. I went back to my room and an hour later I saw a red mark on my hand. I went back out and told them I wanted a new room because it was very obvious that there was some type of infestation in my room. I also asked to speak to manager and the front desk person told me she was out. Until this moment no one has contacted me regarding this issue. On top of that I had requested a shower cap and I never received it.There was also hair in the bathroom on the floor that probably belonged to the previous guest.The second day of my stay I had your breakfast and your fruit was awful and had a sour taste. This has been such an inconvenience that I need to see my primary care physician because I cant stop itching.​ read more

I stayed here while my grandmother was in the hospital nearby. It was a last minute trip with an infant so you can imagine how stressful it was already. The team here went above and beyond to ensure my mom, my baby and I were comfortable. Andrea greeted us with a smile and checked me in early which was so great after a long drive. We had a small issue with our room shortly after check-in and Blessed personally came up, helped us switch rooms, and got us some snacks. I have to tell you that we were blown away with the hospitality during our stay. These ladies inquired about my grandmother and answered any questions I had about the surrounding area. Charlotte rounded out our stay by allowing me to have a late checkout so I could visit my grandmother before I left town. These ladies made what was an awful and stressful situation, great! Worst experience ever. Trying to get this hotel to correct a billing issue has been tortuous. They billed to the wrong credit card. Couldn't fix it on check-in, couldn't fix it when I checked out and have been calling every day for the last three days and 'only the manager can fix it'. Manager won't return my calls and now she's out all week. I travel all the time(weekly) and I will stop using Marriott because of this terrible service. read more

This is a very nice hotel. We stayed in a two queen sized beds room with sitting area. Having two TV's makes it soooooo much easier to enjoy the room. Instead of eating on the bed because that's where majority of hotels have their TV's, I'm able to eat in the sitting area comfortably and enjoy movies/shows. If you have a Netflix account, you're able to sign in on the app on their TV's. The beds are comfortable, the pillows are nice and fluffy. The room key is electronic, all you have to do is tap the room key and it flashes green to let you open it. The indoor pool is small, but very convenient with it being right off the elevator. The fitness room is nice and clean. Jamila, who works at the front desk, was very helpful! She answered all our questions and concerns. The only "bad" thing is that our suite is right off the elevator so you can hear all the noise from people getting off and on and talking. I solved that problem by having the TV on a higher volume than I usually would. read more

This is my 3rd stay at this hotel. The staff here is great...especially Blessed. Yes, one of the members of the front desk staff is named Blessed. She is wonderful...going above and beyond to make certain guests are welcomed and comfortable. I had a special request, which she accommodated with no problem. Thanks Blessed. This is the 8th night of our road trip (fourth state) and we have been made to feel at home in Dallas.
