Disgusting! Lady bugs daily in my room. I moved rooms 3 times during my stay. They claim there is nothing they can do about the bugs as they are coming in through the wall heater. Sleeping at night was stressful as the bugs were flying above my head. The staff will come vacuum the bugs but then more come in within a few minutes. The bug juice is on the desks and walls from people killing bugs. The hotel is infested with bugs. 20-30 bugs a day. The staff said the bugs are worse on the 4th floor. The showers in all three rooms had pink and black mold. They cleaned the spots but they didn't clean them well. The glass doors were not clear and they were moldy at the bottom which they claimed was normal. Don't stay in a room on the freeway side, you won't be able to sleep from the noise. The free breakfast was okay but I worried about eating it given the lack of cleanliness in my room and the bugs seem to be everywhere. This is a hotel that is not up to Marriott standards but more importantly is unhealthy for anyone who stays here.

    hairs and bacteria

I'll start my review by saying that the customer service was top tier. They were extremely nice and helpful. However the first room we were assigned had a massive bug infestation. No problem they switched the rooms and upgraded us which was nice. The second room however was not up to marriot standards. the bathroom was disguising. It had pink bacteria along the seal of the shower, Pubic hairs in the shower and on the counters / floor. Weird streaks of substance in the shower. Just not what i expected from a marriot but maybe a motel. Just all around nasty. I complained to their customer service and have not received compensation or really any substantial response for a week. This is just disappointing. I really expected more from marriot and this location. I'll start my review by saying that the customer service was top tier. They were extremely nice and helpful. Rust and corrosion on bottom of shower glass frame.

The motel appeared clean however, our guest room had a serious fly infestation. While in bed and trying to sleep, flies were landing on our faces throughout the night. They were also in the bathroom. When we complained to the gentleman at the front desk upon checkout he was unsympathetic, though we showed him pictures of the flies (see photos). After our insistence that he make some adjustment in the room rate he refunded $10. There was a lot of rust at the bottom of the shower glass (see photos). Breakfast was not up to the level of other Fairfield Inns we stay at.

    Bedbug bites

Bedbugs. When we entered the room, the tv was on and the beds were made but untidily like maybe the sheets weren't recently washed. I probably should have checked more thoroughly, but this was already our second choice after finding ants in the bed at a different hotel in Dickson. The staff and amenities were good, water pressure was great, but bedbugs means an automatic 1 star for me.

We needed a one night stay near but not in Nashville before heading into town the next day. Must be the Nashville effect because this Fairfield Inn an hour west was surprisingly expensive for what you get. I booked this months ago before post Covid travel exploded. Not sure it was worth the price (even with the AAA discount)! Did get an upgraded room as a gold member when I asked at check-in. The upgraded room had almost no view since it looked at the back of the entrance canopy. No big loss since it looks out onto I-40. The room was typical for this brand though the bathroom was newer and nicer. The fridge and microwave are a plus. The hot breakfast is back but just ok. Guessing covid cost cutting is here to stay. It served its purpose but perhaps I should have shopped around...

The staff here is fantastic...no complaints there! Our room however was gross. The sheets were threadbare, there was mold in the shower, a hole in the bathroom wall, peeling paint, and the 'king-sized' bed was not a king, it was an Olympic queen. We have been Marriott platinum members for years and have a certain expectation when staying at a Marriott property, needless to say this hotel did not meet our expectation at all. It really needs some TLC.

Staff were nice and courteous but hotel smelled musty. Room was clean but smelled damp and there appeared to be mold in the shower ceiling.

We arrived on a quiet fall day, out of season and couldn't promise the same experience for others. There is a gathering area to enjoy music performances in the summer months that wasn't open. There wasn't any food sold and I'm unaware if guests can bring any snacks to the events.

The last night there I decided to read through it, thinking to myself that we needed to make another trip through Tennessee to hit all of these cool places. Some we have already been to, but wouldn't mind going again. My husband being a HUGE Johnny Cash fan, I suggested we make a detour on our way home, just to fit Storytellers Hideaway Farm in. We were NOT disappointed. We both thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the house and the barn with all sorts of memorabilia. The highlight of the experience was the music and camaraderie with Johnny Cash's nephew, Mark Alan Cash. We could sit there and listen to him all day. We loved listening to the stories from his personal experiences with his uncle. If we ever get the chance to come back through here, we definitely will.

My daughter had her wedding at Windsong on 5/22/26 and it was so absolutely perfect. I had about 4 hours to set up.....Im guessing I didnt realize how time consuming the set up would be. I had amazing help....it was just such a chaotic day with trying to make sure bride and groom didnt see each other and getting every detail right and so much more.....and without Aimee, it just wouldnt have happened!! She jumped in and helped me so much (after I told her she wouldn't be stepping on any toes, and I would be more than happy to accept any help, because I could tell she wanted to give me advice but wanted to repect our boundaries as well). Aimee jumped in and started helping set up tables, decorating, telling me what she thought looked good and what didnt, helping with so many details, and just being a Godsend in general!! I can honestly say that without her I would not have had the time to share all of the special moments with my daughter on her special day. Because of Aimee's willingness to help along with her experience I was able to help my daughter get ready for her wedding, see the "first look" moments between her and her dad and grandfather, even the small things like me and her getting moments captured between us talking and crying while getting ready by the photographers. I will forever be grateful for everything Aimee and her husband helped with. It was a perfect day for a dream wedding with amazing people at Windsong and I would recommend this venue over and over again!!!! Thank you Aimee so much for everything you and your husband did to make my girls day everything she has dreamed it would be!! Forever grateful, Arnold wedding family

We actually asked to postpone our daughter's wedding by a day due to severe weather and they accommodated us no problem. They make your happiness and satisfaction the highest priority!

He was Governor for 10 years, which at the time was the longest of any 20th century Governor. Second, it shows us what a railroad hotel looked like back in the 1920's. Where else can you find that? Clement was literally born in this hotel, which is how those two things came together, and it's an interesting mix of railroad history and memorabilia, political memorabilia and photos, and other interesting historical aspects of this little hamlet in Middle Tennessee. It's nice to see that some small towns still maintain their individuality and show some unique perspective where not every business has to be a chain, and not every attraction has to include a Starbucks in the lobby. If you decide to take a drive and visit, I also recommend you stroll around the corner either direction for a bite at either Lugo's on Main Street or The Front Porch on Center Avenue. Dickson is striving to invigorate it's Main Street similar to so many small towns in the area, but what's nice about their version is there's not a chain store in sight anywhere downtown. I am from here, but live in Franklin now, and even our award-winning Main Street has a Starbucks. Here's it's House Blend for coffee not too far away. So if you're interested in trains, or interested in historic hotels, or interested in railroad life, or interested in the history of the Democratic party in Tennessee... go spend a few hours here.
