I would give this 0 stars if i could. came here for work. staff isn't the the best. hotel isn't clean. rooms are super dirty. don't know what the housekeepers are doing. see a bunch of them but rooms are still dirty?? shower curtains have mold on them. carpet was not vacuumed as i was walking on crumbs from previous people that stayed. stains on the comforters and pillows. and lastly bed bugs!! i was bitten up all over and woke up in the middle of the night to find a bed bug just crawling all around. absolutely disgusting. checked out and told staff. staff looked at me like i was an alien and didn't apologize one time. this place is disgusting. i honestly don't understand how anyone could stay here. read more

There were two roaches in the bathroom as soon as we walked into our room. we should have left right then, but it was late and we were tired.... This was a nice Holiday Inn off the I-40. There is free parking, Tesla chargers for electric vehicles, indoor pool, 24 hour fitness center, free breakfast and walking distance to eateries. The indoor pool had towels for us to use. Be cautious of the floors since it can be extremely wet. The breakfast offerings on our visit were pancakes, omelets, sausage Pattie's, sausage gravy, biscuits, cereal, yogurts, bagels, hot oatmeal, muffins, coffee and juices. There were some areas that could be cleaned better like the indoor pool area. There were towels galore on the floor and tables. There wasn't enough towels for 4 people in the room. Overall, we would be back in the future! read more

We stayed here on a recent road trip passing through the area. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were able to provide us with a crib and they are pet friendly. There is free parking and charging stations on site and free breakfast. Our room was on the first floor and it was spacious and quiet. They essentially gave us a pillow case for the crib to act as a sheet. The crib mattress had a rip in it, but luckily we were able to flip it over. The bathtub didn't have a stopper in it, so we used a washcloth in the drain to fill the tub. Not a huge deal, but for our bath time loving toddler, it was. The pillows were very soft which I am not a huge fan of. There are several restaurants and gas stations around, so it is a great spot for a road trip. read more

An absolutely lovely little hotel. I needed a halfway point to stay between North Carolina and Arkansas and Dickson, TN was smack in the middle. I selected this hotel because it's very close to the interstate and close to 2 restaurants that both had curbside pick-up. This hotel is clean, the people are extremely friendly, the beds were comfortable with a nice selection of pillows (flat or fluffy, feather or foam), and the rooms were quiet with blackout curtains. The hot breakfast was probably the best cooked one I've ever had in a hotel and I traveled for a living. If you're looking for luxury, you're notgoing to be staying in a Holiday Inn Express anyway, so I don't take that into account in my rating. This hotel is exactly what it's supposed to be but on the higher end of the well-run scale. read more

Really good hotel. Clean rooms, clean building, no weird smells, the bathroom looked really nice too. The breakfast was a step above your average continental breakfast but personally I can't stomach the fake eggs that all hotels serve. The pool was fun for the kids, but the shower in the pool room was broken and they didn't have enough towels out. The floor around the pool was super slippery and I fell into the pool with my one year old because of how slippery the floor was. My two year old slipped on it too. So just watch out for that. We also needed quarters for laundry but the front desk didn't have any so we had to go to a gas station to get quarters. Other than that it was a good stay. read more

After 4th request we got a ripped comforter for sofa bed....How do they keep this thing to offer to customers (picture attached). Their room phone is non-functional so no easy way to call front desk to ask for a replacement. We had to use our cell phone from the room to talk to front desk. Also not to mention stained bed sheet, dusty fixtures. New property but poorly managed. I think this property is not operated by corporate Holiday Inn rather it's a franchises and operated by individual owner so won't get same service as we get from a corporate owned hotel. read more

Enjoyed a 1 night stay on our way through the area. Everything was very clean. One of our rooms had a drain that wasn't working properly, but that was a minor inconvenience. The beds were comfortable, and we rested well. Easy on and off the interstate, and the check in was quick and easy too. read more

This Holiday Inn is located right off the main highway. Almost too close! Plenty of parking options. Charging for Tesla's available. Room was clean. Staff are nice. Continental breakfast was great! The max one night stay is 20 hours (check in at 3pm and out at 11am). My room was stay on a Tuesday night was $130. read more

This hotel has clean, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast display with friendly staff at the breakfast area. It is easy access to the 40 freeway. I give it 2 stars because we were given a 2nd floor room towards the right side of the building (facing the entrance), which was closest to the freeway and we heard diesels and loud traffic all night long. The biggest complaint I have for this hotel is that we could not connect to the WiFi, which I seriously needed on that night. I brought my laptop down to the breakfast area, near the check-in desk, and was then able to connect occasionally, but would kick me off every couple of minutes. Right outside the office, really? Our room for a King bed, 2 adults, AAA discount was $125, then add the taxes and the total was $149.69. Seems crazy to pay almost $150 and cannot access Wi-Fi. Tech support kept telling me that they would have to reboot something and that it should work in about 10 minutes. If you stay here, I would recommend a room over the office, if WiFi is important to you, and maybe you will get connected. The thing I liked the most about Holiday Expresses are that they are pet friendly, which is very important to us. This hotel is close to O'Charley's Restaurant (walk to it, within a couple minutes) and they have decent food and a bar. But, if you need WiFi, reconsider using this hotel. read more

The hotel looks good from the outside. Clean and new. The lobby is clean and well kept. Our room on the other hand was not. Their was stuff on the floor right when you enter the room. Their was trash on the floor next to the fridge. The refrigerator was dirty. Our AC would not stay on no matter what setting you put it on. The beds we're comfortable with the 2 different firmnesses of pillows. In the morning we came down for breakfast. The breakfast room was nice they were out of cinnamon rolls but everything else was good compared to a normal Holliday in express. In all it was a good location to get off the road but it gets a 1 for cleanliness 4 for hospitality. read more

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Everyone we spoke to seemed happy to take care of us and answer any questions we had (pool hours, extra towels, etc). We got a suite, which was plenty of room for the 4 of us, plenty of space for the baby's pack and play. Plenty of room for the baby to play. Breakfast was better than standard...eggs, sausage, turkey sausage, omelettes, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, fantastic cinnamon rolls, and standard fare. The pool was warm enough to swim in mid November, which my kids loved. The ONLY complaint I had is the noise from the highway. If you aren't a light sleeper, like myself, you may want to ask for a room on the back side of the hotel. We were directly over the entrance so it was a little loud at times. The breakfast is fresh and well stocked and the afternoon cookies are a nice touch. Dirty walls with large cracked seams (from shoddy repairs), chipping paint, corners of bathroom had hair and dirt. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dickson on Friday, November 18,2016 checked out on Saturday, November 19. Let me just start with, I booked 2 rooms together in hopes that if this hotel had adjoining rooms that our rooms would be joined. Our rooms were next to each other I was in 107 and my mother was in 105; however, her room was joined with a stranger. We went to the front desk and asked if I could change so that our rooms were joining instead of her with a stranger but was told the room only had a King size bed. I was ok with the King bed but then the desk lady said that she couldn't change me because someone had reserved that room but not checked in yet. She went on to say that she had no other rooms available that were joining, besides suites, however we were not offered an upgrade or anything. I didn't really expect an upgrade but we checked in around 4pm and the parking lot was pretty empty so I'm not sure how the hotel could have been booked. Anyhow, I got over that, not a huge deal definitely not the reason for 1 stars. The reason for the low rating is that the hotel is in major NEEDS of an UPDATE or RENOVATION and it was NOT CLEAN. The tub had hair in it, the bed skirts had stains on them, the wall paper is coming off, the fixtures in the bathroom are rusted, the lap shades had tears, the hair dryer had dust and lint in it, the shower had hard water build up, some of the grout was missing around the base of the tub, and the towel had a stain on it. All in all, I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Honestly, I feel like it is really low quality for the Holiday inn brand. If I ever go back to Dickson, which is likely seeing how it is half way point from my house in VA to my parents in TX, I will stay at the Fairfield Inn/Marriott across the highway. IHG should be ashamed of the poor condition and quality of this Holiday Inn. read more

First of all, this hotel was dirty with half of the lights in our room burnt out and a shower that completely flooded the bathroom. There was a dirty, soaking wet towel folded up under the sink to catch water from a leak in the pipe. We also got to deal with housekeeping banging on the door every morning before 8:30 a.m., which was super fun. Completely unacceptable for the $140 per night they were charging. We booked for three nights and had email confirmation for Friday night - Monday morning. Imagine my surprise when, on Sunday morning, our room phone rang and we were told that we should have already checked out. After we went to the desk to discuss the issue, we were told it was resolved. However, upon returning to our rooms, our key had been deactivated. Once we returned to the front desk, the woman working told me that she wasn't sure what was going on or what further charges may be accumulated. She got extremely nasty with me, raising her voice and refusing to explain the issue, even though I showed her my reservation confirmation. She eventually unlocked our room, but not without questioning my intelligence. She was nasty and unprofessional, considering the mistake was the hotel's. Following this episode, we checked out the next day, as scheduled. However, I was charged an incorrect amount, which was returned without the hotel contacting me, and then I was charged a different amount days later. This experience was ridiculous, frustrating and not worth my money. We had a friend staying there that was also incorrectly charged. Total disaster. read more

My sister made the mistake of making reservations. Of which we had to cancel. But we gave them plenty of notice. Because she was foollish and reserved in advance, there is no refund. Of course there was some fine print... you had to scroll all the way down to the bottom... Holiday Inn are thieves! we had to pay for a room that we will not be using. That they will turn around and rent (at a higher rate) to someone else. The reservation were for 5/28/13 made back in April, and the monies charged from the credit card in April, we canceled more than two weeks before 5/28/13. I can understand 15% or 20% fee for canceling, but to keep it all? Stay away from Holiday Inn............ read more

Wow! Tonight (7/7/2017) the young man at the front desk did a fantastic customer service job. The room I had been given had damp sheets, pillows, floors. (Maybe a problem with the cooling mechanism?) Even the note pad was damp. The young man had an influx of customers he needed to get registered for the evening, yet he showed me another room for my approval and allowed me to switch. Excellent establishment. Have stayed here many times and the service is impeccable! Very clean, reasonable beds, not the best beds but then, the best bed is only available at home. I've been in world class hotels in Europe and the Middle East and this one is close as you can get without a full service restaurant on site. Highly recommended. read more
