First step was the walkthrough process, making sure you knew exactly what was going on, and what they were doing. Second, the numbing came. I had my mouth numbed once before (long ago) from a cavity and I remember a very painful pinch as the needle went in. Here at Vacaville Dental, you can't even feel a thing. The doctor has very soft and steady hands, and constantly makes sure you are okay, and that you don't feel any pain or discomfort. Next step came the extraction. This was the part I was so nervous about. My mouth was completely numb, and they made sure it was. I couldn't feel a thing the entire time, and I even got to wear these cool glasses When my tooth came out, all I said was "that's it??" Very quick, easy and pain free! I genuinely like the dentists, Jennifer is an outstanding hygienist, and Jessica and Mia in the front office have always been wonderful to work with. Unfortunately, since the transition to Vacaville Dental Group, management has changed several times, and the overall patient experience has declined significantly. The biggest issue is appointment scheduling and wait times. For decades, I rarely waited more than a few minutes for an appointment. Now, it seems routine to wait 30 minutes, typically longer. Today was the final straw. My 6 year old daughter had a cleaning scheduled for 9:30 AM, and I had a cleaning scheduled for 10:00 AM. After waiting about 10 minutes, I let Mia know that I had an 11:30 meeting and needed to stay on schedule. She assured me we would be out on time. By 9:55 AM, neither my daughter nor I had been called back. While sitting in the waiting room, I received a text notification stating that my daughter's appointment had been moved to 10:30 AM. At that point, we had already been waiting for over 30 minutes. When I questioned the delay, the new front office manager argued with me and insisted my daughter's appointment had always been scheduled for 10:00 AM, not 9:30 AM. I had text message confirmation showing the original 9:30 appointment time. Rather than acknowledging the scheduling change, she dismissed my concerns and made it seem as though I was mistaken. The interaction felt dishonest, unprofessional, and incredibly frustrating. After 27 years as patients, my husband, my children, my mother, and I have decided to take our business elsewhere. It's disappointing because most of the clinical staff remains excellent, but poor management and a lack of accountability have completely changed the experience. I truly hope Vacaville Dental Group improves its management practices because the dental team deserves better support than what patients are currently experiencing. I'm giving 2 stars to save some face for the current staff who has always been great. My 6 year old even wants to be a dentist one day because she loves Jennifer so much.

My husband had the worst experience here with a root canal gone very bad. We tried to come back…read moreseveral times to have it fixed and ended up on very strong antibiotics with an abscess and infection in his jaw. The tooth had to be removed by an oral surgeon and put on another antibiotic. When I contacted Jason regarding this issue I was told that because the roots were removed there should be no pain and that the root canal was "very well done". Well, let me assure you that an abscess and bone infection do in fact cause pain. It also cost the dentist office to lose my entire family (of 6) as cash paying customers because we will never step foot into this office again. I hope the $3000+ was worth it.

They are so deserved…read more This year, as I enter my 70's, I had to have a few procedures done, one of which was deep cleaning before shoulder surgery in a few months. This review I thought I'd focus on Dr Bosler's hygienist, Molly. Molly is extremely knowledgeable. I'm a nurse myself and am so impressed with her care of the whole person. She is so thorough she has been able to assess a few dental problems and address them early saving me from a much worse problem and expense down the line. A few years ago Molly noticed a "shadow" on my inner cheek that warranted a visit to my primary care doc. As it turned out there was no cancer and I did not require further work up. I've been blessed to be able afford dental checkups my entire life. However, having a team of professionals who have helped me avoid serious dental issues and expenses really has helped! Molly, if you read this, I hope you to know you're the best of the best. You look at the whole patient, their lifestyle and needs. It's that "extra" genuine personal interest, intelligence and gentleness you provide that makes you the exceptional medical professional you are. This apparently released bacteria into my gums and caused an infection. I met Dr. Liu for a consultation and new right away I wanted her to do the procedure. I had to have my tooth removed and the infection removed off my bone. She took great care in making sure I was comfortable the day of the surgery along with her amazing assistant!
