The hotel has an amazing on site restaurant opens up everyday after 5:00 p.m. they have a wonderful bar with a bartender named Nate, he is quite the comedian and definitely good at his job. Wait staff are attentive and very accommodating. The room itself has been very comfortable. I like the AC cold, I love the bed comfortable, and the black drapes were wonderful. It was annoying that they didn't have any premium channels on the TV., but who goes on vacation to watch TV anyway. The pool was really nice, didn't have a lot of shade around it, unfortunately. And the jacuzzi tub was hot but not very bubbly. I'm informed that they are working on those things. They have a delicious breakfast every morning hot and fresh they make it right there, or you can go to the Continental route and just have the bagels and the fruit and cottage cheese. I recommend coming back down at 5:00 during the week check and see what they're specials are for the evening. I had a wonderful chicken parmesan for $12.99 it was awesome. They have delicious appetizers, my favorites were the chicken quesadilla, and the pork sliders, those are awesome. I also like the Southwest egg rolls they had totally delicious. She goes on "what room are y'all staring in because the boys were up here all day yesterday, (speaking abt my teens) they were not doing anything they just wanted to come here for to watch tv and chill. My nephew opened the lock so that the door won't lock behind him when he was taking the trash out... she saw it and instead of knocking on the door to tell us that we can't do that with the lock she pushed the door open, put her foot in the doorway and argued with my sister abt the lock (I saw her workers do the same thing with the locks) last wk on my cleaning day she told me that she cant change my sheets because she had no clean ones. Remind you every other wk when my room was cleaned my sheets were changed, so I don't understand what was the difference with that wk. The bug bites. I mean, I get it, it's right on the water but no amount of bug spray worked. No home remedies worked. You just had to take it. I canceled one retreat in November 2024 and was fully refunded. However, when I canceled the second retreat, they are now refusing to refund me. At the time of booking, the website clearly stated a two-week cancellation policy, and staff verbally confirmed that full refunds would be given within this window. Since then, the company has changed their policy and updated the website, but they never informed me of these changes. Now, they are withholding a deposit of over $1,000. While I understand policies can change, it is the company's responsibility to notify customers of any updates, which they failed to do in my case.
