Unfortunately, the results didn't reflect that, and there never seemed to be any real diagnosis or adjustment--just the same preplanned treatments. The biggest concern for me was the complete lack of communication. When I submitted a cancellation through the customer portal, there was no response--no confirmation, no follow-up, and no attempt to understand why I was leaving. I cancelled the service and my bank has stopped any payments to them. I gave this company a second chance. They fouled that up again. You can do better for lawn service. I have used them at two different properties and both times I have had issues with the quality of the service. It took registering a complaint with them at the first property for things to improve. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but after having issues with the 2nd property I am now realizing the quality of their services isn't worthy of more than 1 star. My lawn looks like a science project. The best thing I can say they do a good job of, is a weed free lawn. However, the rest of the ability to drive a healthy lawn, thick and green lawn they miss the mark. My lawn looks nearly dead in some areas, is so thin in many areas, healthy and thick in others and when I registered a complaint this time, the responses were not what I would expect. My lawn looks worse after a year under their care, despite their assurances when I signed up that they would get it looking nice and to give them time. In April, I pre-paid for a full year of service, to take advantage of a discounted rate. When I signed up and paid, I was told a technician would be out within a week to begin services. This plan included six lawn treatments, and according to the company's website, these treatments are supposed to occur every 6-7 weeks. That did not happen. The first treatment did not occur until late May, nearly a month later. After that, more than 8 weeks passed without service. I called to follow up and eventually received a text message from technician Brandon stating that he would be out the next day. No one came. After multiple follow-ups, he finally came on July 17. Since then, more than 11 weeks have passed (today is October 1) with no further service. My repeated calls, voicemails, and attempts to contact the company through its customer portal have gone unanswered. Fairway Green Lawn Care continues to fail to provide services within the timeframes it promises both on its website and in its communications with me. I will start this saying that our yard looks much better - but it wasn't hard to make it look better! We got the service for the weeds in the bed (yes they talked me into it) - as I walked around the yard two weeks ago I saw that nothing had been done. In fact, some briar type prickly weeds were up to my waist, and are now up to my eye level. When I called to ask about this, I was first asked "are they really waist high?" Really? Well, after the call I went out and they were actually mid body high ... higher than the waist that Scott was questioning. He said they were doing a treatment last week and would take care of the beds. I called today (a week later) to indicate that none of the weeds in the garden were browner or looked like they were "dying" - to which he took a second and said "your next treatment is scheduled for 2 weeks". WHAT? I said, you didn't do it last week? to which he replied no. Since they're so tall I have to cut them down, etc. I asked why two weeks ago he didn't say this, to which he said "I don't know who you talked to, probably not me." Yes, I asked for you. It was you. Results were good for 9 of 10 years, but something changed in 2025. Observed tech skippimg fertilizer on 2 strips of lawn and not spraying any post emergent as indicated on invoice. Tech was at our house for less than 7 minutes. Tried to address with customer service and management and they were unable to address the issue. Friend who recommended Fairway Green 10 years ago also has weeds in yard so do not think my situation is unique. I would look elsewhere for lawn service. read more

I cancelled service in 2023, then they charged me in 2024 when no service was provided. To avoid trouble I paid them and requested cancellation again, the lady said it was cancelled. Two stars for the excellent job Anderson did every time he came, zero for customer service. Hired them last year and paid upfront for the year. Anderson would call and show up as planned. For one of the applications they sent someone else who missed 300sf of lawn on the left of my driveway. If I didn't have cameras I would have never known, I requested Anderson and he came the very next day. Before I went to Florida for part of the winter I called and asked when was the next application, she told me March so when I came back March first there was the invoice on my door for the application they had done in February. I paid them and I shouldn't have because the back yard never recovered. See first picture taken in early May. By then everyone's lawns were green. while mine looked more like a muddy field with about one bermuda root every 10 inches. It was dead not dormant! I requested to speak with the manager and after I explained the looks of my lawn he told me my bermuda was still dormant without even volunteering to take a look before making an assumption and then what was even more aggravating was that in his quest to get me off the phone he said "you are a smart guy! you can google and see about dormant bermuda" I had only explained how it looks and he again said "I am only answering your questions" I hadn't ask any questions! He sent someone else when I insisted to have someone take a look. The person said "some will come back". With only that much live bermuda spread apart so thin and with the rain we had in May erosion was changing the landscaping of the muddy field so 4 days ago had new bermuda sod installed after paying over 1500 second picture. Maybe I should have kept doing my own fertilizing instead of hiring them last year. I realize everyone's experience is different but I would have expected more courtesy and the will to at least attempt to fix it instead of blaming it on the weather without even looking to see what the problem was. I've had their service for approx 6-7 years. I have a plan where they come out 6 times a year. I've noticed they seem to be slipping in their quality. I've had to call once this year as they seem to miss approx 10-20 feet on each side of my yard approaching the neighbors so I have heavy weed coverage. So I'm in May and they have already been out 4 times. I was nervous to let them aerate my yard after them hitting my fence twice a couple years back when they aerated. They had a manager call me and assure me it would t happen this time. Well they weee scheduled to come out today and when I called they said they didn't see my appointment. And then a higher person came on said they have me for tomorrow because storms coming thru. Which one is it? I'm slowly losing confidence in them. They did a poor job of applying pre-emergent to my yard in the Spring of 2022. They applied two applications. When the weather warmed up I had poanna and Dallis grass throughout my back yard. After leaving numerous voice mails, two weeks later some called me back. There was nothing they could do because it was already past the application time for pre-emergent. The area manager would not meet me at my home to review the condition of the yard. He recommended I use a hammer claw to pull up the dallis grass. Why would I do that? I paid you over $160 for pre-emergent. I canceled their services for my yard. I thought I was through with them. Then they show up in Sept 2022 to apply another treatment. I'm in Raleigh NC and could not be more disappointed with Fairway Green. I have weeds everywhere, I complained and he came out. Every part I showed him, in front, in back, he just kept saying that he "thought that was a natural area?" funny, there aren't any plants, and no mulch. Update: Technician came by today to spray the poa annua. He said that Fairway Green offers service for poa annua but I am not on that plan. Considering the large amount of poa annua in my yard I asked why I was never told about that plan. He said that this territory for Fairway Green has had a tremendous turnover in employees in the last year or so. I have used this service for many years. More than 6 years. As the company has grown, the customer service is terrible. The customer service use to be really good many years back. I send emails that go unanswered for weeks. I leave voicemail following up on the emails and there is no return call until I bother them for days. The only reason I stay is because of their servicemen who service my yard. However when I need to speak with customer service (Anna Hernandez in the Raleigh office) the response is terrible. We have used Fairway Green for the past four years across two homes. At my fescue home, they maintained well. However, on my Zoysia turf, they have just not been as prompt on staying ahead of issues such as fungus and service needs. I've been required to fall back to my primary lawn care service for additional care to fill in gaps/prevent die-off of turf. Recently, I've found customer service to be lacking at both the tech and main office level (follow-ups for service don't occur, and lack of proactive communication about turf needs). Overall, they seem overburdened with accounts and are losing what they once had in terms of customer-forward quality. We signed a contract for a year and that was a huge mistake! From killing our lawn to poor customer service this company is horrible. We have asked them repeatedly to have the tech call us on their way to our house because we have an over 100 pound lab that is not friendly. We are trying to keep the tech and our dog safe. I'm not joking, we have given them 5 calls and an email and it has done nothing! They continue to come without calling ahead to make sure the dog isn't in the yard. we have had to lock our gate so they don't just waltz in unannounced and get bit. They can't follow simple instructions to keep their techs safe and I am furious they are putting my dog at risk as well when we have repeatedly warned them. Fairway Green destroyed my lawn. I hired them to make my lawn thicker with a Fall seeding. They aerated the front (good job.) But, without permission, they killed EVERY blade of grass in my backyard. Overnight, my yard went from a green oasis, which my neighbors and regular gardener can confirm, to a red clay desert. At first, Fairway Green promised to make it right. But, after a couple of seedings (the yard is on a hill and there has been lots of rain) they have determined that they can't do anything else to fix it because they don't sod. Meanwhile, my backyard has half as much grass as it did last Fall. And, I am probably going to have to sod it myself. Look, Fairway Green is a reputable company. When it comes to keeping a schedule, they're on point. The technician that services my yard seems extraordinarily knowledgeable about all things landscaping, which is helpful since I chose a grass that does poorly in NC summer heat. I find their pricing to be fair; maybe even more than fair when compared to other companies I've tried. So, why the low rating? Well, having the knowledge doesn't automatically translate to great execution. I've used them for everything from seeding, to fertilizing, to fungicide for three years. Each year I say "wow, I'm just so disappointed in this yard; I think I'm going to cancel my subscription with them." After three years, I think enough is just enough. The yard went from looking AMAZING, to looking mediocre, too looking like I'm an amateur that decided to go to Home Depot and decided to buy some lawn care product and give it a whirl. The lawn was streaky last year from the tech making too wide of passes. There were long ovals that rounded out at the driveway because no fertilizer was spread there. This year I have the EXACT same problem, but with spirals this time. It's like the equipment was jammed or something, and now I'm paying the price. Speaking of price, they decided to seed two days before hurricane Matthew, so all of the seed in my ditch washed away, and much of the yard is unevenly seeded, but I still shelled out the cost of the service. Now, the tech blames bad soil. I agree with him that the soils is garbage. There is no doubt. And I don't know enough about soil to argue, but I can't figure out how the lawn went from looking like a homes and garden cover, to looking like amateur hour. Does soil really devolve like that? We have been using Fairway Green now for about 2 years. We realized it was CHEAPER to pay them to service our lawn 5 times a year than for us to do it. They are very professional, very thorough and always call you back. Our yard was a complete MESS when they started 2 years ago...now we have fantastic lawn. Compared to our neighbors our is almost weed free and VERY green. We had about 4 different kinds of grass and now we are mostly all Bermuda. They also leave you a note when they come of what exactly they did and how for you to care for your lawn till the next time they come. They even pick up my dogs toys in the backyard and put them on our porch so they do not get sprayed with their chemicals. They are great to work with! Also they offer a discount if you pay a year at a time! They will even get rid of any insects in your lawn including mosquitos! You will NOT be disappointed! read more

Great experience! A different company botched the sod installation in our yard, and the whole thing was dried up rectangles of grass, weeds, dirt, and gravel. We thought we had ruined our lawn. A year later, Fairway Green had our yard looking the healthiest on the block, and the pricing was great for what we got. I've had Fairway Green for two season, my Zoysia is full green and thick... My yard is the best in the entire development of 200 homes... This past winter the weather was rough on my grass... They sent a manager out several times to keep an eye on it for about a month until it recovered completly... I can confirm this since I have cameras throughout my yard... Their technician called and left a voice message that he was planning to come and take a look at my yard on Wednesday, but ask if he could postpone it until Thursday. He didn't show up on Thursday and when I called first gone through all his voicemails and didn't have one for me, but that he hadn't planned on being on my side of town anyway. I should've known better than to have answered the first message based on all the reviews I've seen of how poorly the Charlotte office has been and responding to customers, and especially keeping appointments With new customers. Company should never call and ask if they could change the dates for the next day if they didn't intend on being there the next day. Save your time don't bother with Fairway Green. My husband called to talk with them about the service and his concerns and the representative did not care at all. They just said okay therefore my husband cancelled and said he wanted to try and use someone else. The person on the phone said okay no problem and didn't seem to care at all. We weren't going to cancel, we just wanted to voice our concerns of what our grass looked like compared to others in the neighborhood who don't use a service, but once they guy acted like he could care less, my husband cancelled.
