Ok, I have to admit that the famous $139 Sadelle's tower got me on Sunday. I went in for a bougie brunch with friends, and we decided that was the kind of luxury splurge we needed. I have to admit, it was excellent. We also got Latkes for the table and of course iced lattes. Our server, Hugo, was excellent. He was super friendly and made the experience great. I will say, Sadelle's is not cheap, but the vibes are great and the food is solid, with excellent service. This area has a lot of things going on, so street parking can be tricky. If you can't find nearby, you can always park in one of the garages nearby and take a small stroll. read more

Sadelle's is my friend's favorite breakfast spot, so every time I visit we usually head in. I'll start off by saying it is beautifully done. It is a lovely patio to sit out on and I love the decor touches and the overall vibe. The service tends to always be slow but the servers are all friendly. Don't head out here if you are starving. The pigs in a blanket are quite tasty as are the latkes. The lox there is spot on and one of the few places I'll get lox. The tower is quite beautiful as well. We needed a spot to go to while we waited for check in and this spot embraced the 10 of us along with all of our bags! It worked out perfectly. This spot is a little pricey but it is Miami so it was expected. The 30$ burger is what threw me for a loop and it was just a burger although it was their special wrap. The pigs in a blanket was a few mini sausages wrapped in croissant bread. I didn't like it at all and it was my main meal. The chicken ceaser wrap was big and good. It's a pretty place very tropical. We went for Sunday brunch on a rainy day so weren't able to enjoy the outdoor seating. It was uncomfortably cold inside probably due to the rainy weather outside but uncomfortable nonetheless. Service was good but food not so much. The latkes lacked flavor. Omelettes weren't cooked right and the French toast was such a let down! It looked like it would be on my top favorites and is listed as one of their specialties. I am so glad I wasn't the one to order it but I did try it even though my three fiends that ordered it were complaining. They make it with challah bread so it's nice and thick but it was soggy on the inside and burnt on the outside, just not good. Came to Sal's on a Sunday brunch with a reservation, still had to wait a little bit to get our table ready and we were seated right at the entrance of the restaurant. We ordered some latte to start and honestly just a pretty good drink, they do have a drink window outside so you don't have to come into the restaurant to partake. You could also buy some bagels while you're there, which was exactly what we ended up ordering in the restaurant. We got the bagel tower, which is a very cool gimmick. They bring over some toasted bagels and all your toppings and you pretty much make the sandwich yourself. It's a pretty good amount of everything. I wish that we got some more locks to go along with it but nothing crazy. The bagels are pretty light, but they are just a tad more chewy than a really good New York bagel. read more

You walk in and think, Wow, this place has it together. That feeling lasts until you sit down. It took about 10 minutes for the waiter to greet us. Not busy ignoring us--just slowly realizing we existed. No water. No hello. Just eye contact from across the room like, I'll get to you eventually. I order French toast. Very simple. A classic. Bread. Heat. That's it. I get my omelette--poorly prepared--and a latke that somehow managed to be raw in the middle. Not undercooked. Raw. Like the potato was still considering a career change. I finish my entire meal. Table is completely empty. Done. Finished. Closure. And then... the French toast arrives. Now here's where it gets interesting. I say, "Oh, I think this was forgotten." And the waiter says, "No, that's dessert." Dessert. At breakfast. Who is ordering dessert for breakfast? What kind of confidence do you need to say that out loud? And if it's dessert, why wasn't it suggested as dessert? Why wasn't the table cleared? Why does it feel like the French toast just wandered out here on its own? Then we argue about it. I don't want to argue about French toast. That's not where I thought my day was headed. This place feels like a design firm said, "Let's absolutely nail the vibe... and then just see what happens with the food." Save your money. Save your time. Unfortunately I didn't get what all the hype was all about, but since I'm about supporting local businesses, I gave this place a shot. The place was swamped and the staff was overwhelmed. They were nice, but overwhelmed. The communication is something they could improve on for things to operate more smoothly. We requested an inside table via our reservation and although we were sat inside as per our request, the door was open so the humidity/heat from outdoors had a negative impact. So much so that there was condensation on the ceiling which dripped on people, the table and food. We told the server (who was really nice) and then he had someone have a cloth-like mop to wipe it up. The way that the guy cleaned the vents was so unsanitary I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Thank God we didn't have our food yet, but the table next to us did and all I could think about was that stuff dropping in their food. The food was about a six out of 10 for me. The cheese blintzes were a ten! The fried latkes were 6 (overcooked) the French toast was overrated and sent back as it tasted like it was fried in old oil. The omelette dishes were really good overall so that would be about a 8.5 and the lattes were nice. I'm not sure if I would go again, but who knows. It was an experience and they did try, so check it out and I hope they improve where they fell short because I can see the potential. Enjoy! read more

Went here with family. After we had told the server I was vegan, she told us that their new smoothie shop was open for takeout, so I would not leave the restaurant hungry after my one slide of avocado toast. However, upon entering the side cafe, I was rudely told that there was an event going on and that I could not order despite the fact that multiple people had ordered smoothies before. The cafe attendant was incredibly rude to me about this despite the fact that there was absolutely zero indication that there was an event. Due to that alone, I would never frequent the smoothie section again once open. As someone who works in experiential, this seems like it was handled poorly to be planned during restaurant hours. Servers at the restaurant should've been made aware instead of telling us we could do takeout, the event should've been signed better, the event should've been open to the public (the cafe attendant was incredibly rude to me once she found out I was not there for the event) or it should've been better signed to say closed for the event instead of left open during hours of operation. Again, the way this was handled makes me not want to go back there instead of drumming up excitement to go back and try the smoothies once I can, despite what any event attendees end up posting. read more

They were slammed just two of them for so many tables plus bar seats and definitely needed support. Otherwise, the restaurant decor is super cute and the food was good. My first time to this Sadelle's location in Miami was for Sunday brunch. Luckily, I made reservations almost a month in advance. And despite doing that and showing up early for the reservation, we still stood in the very tight walkway by the makeshift host stand, waiting to be seated. The whole stand on this particular Sunday had over five different houses hovering in the area and no one seating anybody down. Not sure what they all do there. When we finally got seated, we were sitting there for 13 minutes and not a single person to come by our table to either greet us or bring us water. So I turned to what appeared to be something of a manager, and informed her that we had been seated for 13 minutes and no one had come by. To my surprise, but she took full ownership and started taking our order and then brought over two more waiters who are so super friendly and kind who were then attentive to us for the rest of our meal. Let me also add that our actual waiter had finally come by to say hello, and then had never returned. As I made observations around the restaurant as we were seated inside, it also appeared that a few of his other tables had been taken away from him as well. After this wait, and after this hiccup, we then ordered. The next hiccup occurred, which was that they had run out of matzo ball soup. Running out of matzo ball soup here is like saying McDonald's ran out of french fries it was rather a big disappointment however, it led to a change in my order to the most amazing challah French toast. The rest of the meal was fantastic as the two additional waitresses who are brought over to our table were very very friendly. I was disappointed to find out that I could not order the challah and I also could not get any donuts from the to go area as they had already sold out for the day This place was jampacked full of a lot of energy. Everybody was here to not only enjoy the food I believe, but obviously to be seen and to see others which you can tell by a lot of of the choices of wardrobe here. Parking around here is a huge challenge. Good luck finding street parking. Otherwise you will have to park in one of the parking garages. That's a couple blocks over. I would come back here again, but honestly, I would do it as a to go and pick it up and take it back home. read more

Quite simply, i shouldn't have to wait over 15 min for 2 sliced and toasted bagels when they don't even spread the cream cheese on it. The barista was able to complete 3 different espresso orders in the time it took me to get my bagel order. I could understand if they actually put the effort in to apply the cream cheese. What amazing service! We came to celebrate a friend's birthday. Honestly I can't recall our servers name but I believe it started with an M, he was very kind and attentive throughout our entire dining experience. I really needed a piece of paper and he brought it right to me. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely, we sat inside in what seemed to be a pink booth. Very comfortable! The drinks were awesome. I enjoyed the espresso martini very much, as well as the aperol spritz (refreshing). I heard the coffee is great here as well, although, I didn't get around ordering a cup. Maybe next time! I enjoyed an everything bagel with eggs, bacon and muenster cheese. The bagel was toasted to perfection. When I first received it, it seemed kinda burnt...it was actually delicious. First, it took them a good five minutes of awkwardness to seat us even thought there was no one else waiting to be seated. They required my phone number and name for no reason whatsoever. Disappointing Experience at Sadelle's I recently visited Sadelle's for breakfast, drawn by its prime location in the heart of Coconut Grove and its tranquil atmosphere. The setting is undeniably beautiful--lush greenery, a peaceful ambiance, and thankfully, no blaring music. However, my experience with the restaurant's service left much to be desired. Upon arrival, the hostess guided me to a table but failed to notice a major obstacle--a large dog, possibly an Irish Setter mix, lying directly in the path of my chair. The only way for me to reach my seat would have been to step over the dog, which was not only impractical but also posed a safety risk. If I had tripped or startled the dog, it could have ended very badly. I found it baffling that the hostess expected me to either straddle over the dog or ask the owner to move it myself. It should have been her responsibility to handle the situation appropriately, either by requesting that the owner keep the dog properly positioned at their own table or by immediately offering me another seat. Instead, I had to insist on being moved. When I raised my concern with the General Manager, Janice Lopez, I was met with an even more frustrating response. She seemed irritated by my question and instead of handling the matter discreetly, she spoke so loudly and boisterously that the entire restaurant became aware of the issue. The irony was not lost on me--she claimed she didn't want to inconvenience the dog owner by asking him to move the dog, yet she had no issue making me feel uncomfortable as a customer. Meanwhile, the original table remained unusable because the dog continued to block access. Food: We were served coffee without any creamer. The coffee was over boiled and tasted burned. Two cups of coffee were placed on our table and when we mentioned we only ordered one coffee, the waitress realized she had placed the next table's coffee on our table. She picked it up and placed it on the next table. I've never seen consumables switched from tables after a misplacement. This made me wonder if the rest of the meal would be safe to eat. There was no salt or pepper on the tables and no ice in the water. Overall, this experience left a very bad impression. Sadelle's used to have better-trained staff who understood the importance of ensuring a safe and pleasant dining experience for all customers. Unfortunately, that no longer seems to be the case. I doubt I'll be returning. Beautiful setting, but poor service and management choices ruin the experience. Many reviewers are mentioning the high prices of this restaurant, I have no issue with high prices when the service is commensurate with the prices. But this was champaign prices for bad beer treatment. read more

Love love it!! Came for brunch and sat at the bar. The wait was long and we sat to have a drink while we waited ended up eating at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and even while being slammed due to being super busy they ensured to take care of us. We tried their dumplings as per their suggestion, delicious! Their coconut shrimps light and not your typical coconut shrimp, plate is larger and perfect for sharing. Now I'm someone who has no problem for paying for quality but this place just tries to play into the stereotypical Gables bougie feel. They hit it on the mark. $18 for an Aperol Spritz.... The bagel was really good. Toasted lightly, chewy and dense. Could've used some onions, but the cucumbers, tomatoes, and capers were very good. We also ordered veal dumplings. They came kind of deep fried, with an oniony sauce. Very good. To drink we only ordered 1 iced tea. $85 before tip. Honestly, for this type of food, not outrageous.
