Im so glad I found this newish at least to me dinner spot. Not only was the location great to meet with friends but service was top tier. Its been a while that I feel like I can rave about a restaurant in Miami since the experience prior to has been less than in miami. But from beginning to end what an experience. The food options were vast and everything ordered not only looked good but tasted great! The place was very chill, there is indoor and outdoor seating welcoming to dogs. The fresh smoothie options superb, breakfast at any time of day is always a good idea. They staff is so helpful and attentive. I cant wait to come back and visit!!

Killian Café & Grill in Miami provided an excellent dining experience, despite my rush to take a photo before starting my meal. The restaurant serves massive portions of delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere, providing ample space for dining. The generous portions at this restaurant will likely force you to take some food home, as you may not be able to finish everything. The establishment maintains cleanliness while providing excellent service to customers who want a dependable local dining experience. 8/10. Unfortunately, the AC was off when I ate there, but I will not complain about that. When Guillermo recommends a food spot, you should definitely visit because he always knows what's good.

Love the breakfast here! Big portions and big menu. Always packed so you know everything is good. Service is friendly and fast. You may have to wait for seating so get here early. We ordered coffee for the table. and a blueberry muffin that was absolutely delicious. I had an omelette with mushrooms, cheese, and onions that I chose potatoes with (you have other options like grits)and dry toast. Everything was hot and delish! Have to come back to try there lunch options.

i came for brunch with my husband. I ordered the. Killian Grand sSlam which consisted of two eggs, bacon or sausage, toast or buacuit, and grits or homestyle potatoes. My husband ordered the Corn Beef Hash with two eggs, grits or homestyle potatoes, and biscuits or toast. The food was great. We also rodeos cafe con leche. The cafe was way too dark. The service was excellent as usual. The place was clean and nicely arranged.

Good casual breakfast spot! The service was quick and the server was friendly. I enjoyed the outdoor seating they have inside seating as well it's just a bit cold inside. The blueberry waffle was okay I've had better but it wasn't bad. I love the fresh orange juice. My mom has the chicken soup and really liked it, my sister had the chocolate chip pancakes and said they were good, and the scrambled eggs with the onions and potatoes (I forgot the name) were a really large portion size and super yummy!

I really enjoyed this cute little spot! Family friendly, great service and quick turn around. The food was good, clean and fresh! They don't have the good coffee creamer (coffee ppl will understand) but everything else was amazing! I had the spinach and mushroom omelette.

The food was delicious and service was excellent. Would definitely come back again. Not much wait time for us to receive our food.

We were able to get seated immediately for breakfast. Was our first time here. Had a older couple seated next to us who struck up a convo, it helps we were bithe big WNBA fans lol. Had French toast, egss, bacon, sausage, and pancakes among us. Washed it down with some fresh pressed OJ, wanted some mimosas but they didn't have any prosecco. Overall the food was good and friendly great service. Seems to be a local favorite cause it was busy and after awhile there was a wait. Have a nice covered outside seating area. We would come back definitely.

Doing a new review since I have not been here since 2019. Killian Cafe used to be one of my main to go places for breakfast. I used to absolutely love coming here. Unfortunately, I moved away from the area to NW Ohio years ago for a job opportunity. I was back in Miami on vacation and had to come back. I am glad I did. It was delicious nostalgia. Place is just like I remember it. The place is comfortable and welcoming. The staff is hard working and friendly! The food is delicious! Eating those amazing grits, enjoying the eggs benedict... and god that heavenly Nutella crepe...oh how wonderful it was to experience it again. If I could I would lift this place and take it with me to Ohio. You all who live around here, you guys are lucky! You should come here and enjoy great food and great service! Alas, I had to go and say a regretful goodbye to this place. Hopefully I will be able to swing this way again in the future.

Great spot for breakfast! The food was delicious, the wait staff was super friendly, and everything came out quickly. Bonus points for being reasonably priced too. Perfect place to start the day without breaking the bank. I'll definitely be back! Nice spot, not too busy. Just your basic looking cafe. Good ambiance.

My former boss who retired and me went out to lunch. She mentioned this place near her house that she wanted to try out so I told her let's go... This place was in the plaza across from Tacos and Tattoos. It's a nice little cafe that is only open for breakfast and lunch. It reminded me of a more unique IHOP since you could order breakfast for lunch as well. There were options for hoagies, wraps, salads, omelets, sweet or savory crepes, and more. She ordered the savory crepes with steak, peppers, and onions with a side of salad. It was huge! I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap with fries. The wrap was delicious and crispy and the fries were my favorite crispy seasoning. Definitely a place to go back and try other delicious menu items!

Love their breakfast and French toast. The best in the area. I do travel about 45 minutes just for their French toast.

Ask the Community - Killian Cafe & Grill

Would this location be good for a medium group to have brunch?

I know that Killian Cafe can and will close their doors so you can have a private, low-key event. Their dining room is small, but can accommodate comfortably a party of 25-35, I would think. Also, they have THE BEST homefries in town for brunch.

Do they have any vegan options?

They're pretty flexible with substituting things in and out of their dishes. They may not have a particular dish(es) that are outright vegan but I'm sure you can ask them to create one and they'll be very happy to accommodate.

    Do they serve alcohol?

Yes they do. They have mimosas, beer, and wine.

The Shakshuka was okay--perfectly edible, but nothing memorable. The Steak & Eggs was pretty much the same: decent, but definitely not worth the premium price. The biggest disappointment was the pancakes. They were dense, had noticeable lumps in the batter, and were nowhere near as light and fluffy as good pancakes should be. The syrup also didn't taste like real maple syrup, which was surprising considering how expensive everything is. Speaking of prices, Café Bastille is seriously overpriced for what it delivers. The restaurant also wasn't cool enough inside--the air conditioning struggled to keep the space comfortable, which made the meal less enjoyable. The one bright spot was the service. Our server was friendly, attentive, and did an excellent job throughout the meal. One more thing that is becoming increasingly frustrating in Miami: the bill already included a mandatory 20% gratuity. While I always tip for good service, automatically adding 20% regardless of the experience feels excessive. This trend is getting out of control and takes away the customer's ability to reward service based on merit. Overall, this feels like a place designed more for tourists than for locals. Nice presentation and good marketing, but the food simply doesn't justify the prices. Unfortunately, I wouldn't come back.

I happened to be in the area so I checked out this place which was pretty cool. They had bar seating, couch seating with tables as well as outdoor seating. A lot of people were there working on their computers while having drinks and pastries. I had a salted caramel latte which I ordered at the computer and was served quickly. I requested it with oat milk, but it was made with whole milk and the barista had no issue remaking it for me, which was nice. The flavor was amazing with just the right amount of salt and caramel; it was not too sweet and it was very smooth. The only issue I had was the parking, there was absolutely no place to park so I had to double park in an alley and run in to get my drink. However, I imagine if you live or work in the area it would be a cute place to pop in and get a beverage. They also had empanadas and some various pound cake slices which people were partaking in so I imagine they were decent.

I eventually had to ask a different server for water, and I was given hot water instead of cold. To make matters worse, the food itself was bland and lacked flavor. When you walk in, you place your order and pay for it and take a table number. You need to find your own table. Our service was pretty quick, despite how busy the restaurant was. My cold brew was very good and a nice start to the meal. Our guacamole came next and it was nicely styled with pomegranate, cheese and cilantro on top. Yum!
