I used to come here for breakfast but the other day I decided to try their lunch meals. My father had hair in his food. We were given dirty utensils and the chicken and waffles were just OK. The steak burrito was good and so was the chicken pesto sandwich but it didn't sit well. I don't really know if the food was worth the price. You would have to try it for yourself. We went to eat there 2 weeks back to back. The breakfast was good. I had the crepes with banana and strawberry. It was very good. I tried some of the omelette from my son and it was great. Had a great breakfast today at Killian Cafe. The food was delicious, I loved my avocado eggs benedict. I also got one pancake on the side and that was delicious as well. The service was great, our waitress was so nice and checked up on the table many times to make sure we were doing good. I love the decorations in this place, they had so many fun signs on their walls. We arrived at about 8:30 AM on a Saturday so we got there right before the big breakfast rush, we got seated right away. Overall, great experience, will definitely come again. read more

We were able to get seated immediately for breakfast. Was our first time here. Had a older couple seated next to us who struck up a convo, it helps we were bithe big WNBA fans lol. Had French toast, egss, bacon, sausage, and pancakes among us. Washed it down with some fresh pressed OJ, wanted some mimosas but they didn't have any prosecco. Doing a new review since I have not been here since 2019. Killian Cafe used to be one of my main to go places for breakfast. I used to absolutely love coming here. Unfortunately, I moved away from the area to NW Ohio years ago for a job opportunity. I was back in Miami on vacation and had to come back. I am glad I did. It was delicious nostalgia. Place is just like I remember it. The place is comfortable and welcoming. The staff is hard working and friendly! The food is delicious! Eating those amazing grits, enjoying the eggs benedict... and god that heavenly Nutella crepe...oh how wonderful it was to experience it again. If I could I would lift this place and take it with me to Ohio. You all who live around here, you guys are lucky! You should come here and enjoy great food and great service! My man and me ordered eggs benedict pretty simple breakfast dish and we got overly seasoned soggy potatoes a piece of what could have been a brick sized ham with eggs . To top it off both of our stomachs hurt. Just that cost $40 . You can pay half of that and receive wayyy better food for your buck. My former boss who retired and me went out to lunch. She mentioned this place near her house that she wanted to try out so I told her let's go... This place was in the plaza across from Tacos and Tattoos. It's a nice little cafe that is only open for breakfast and lunch. It reminded me of a more unique IHOP since you could order breakfast for lunch as well. There were options for hoagies, wraps, salads, omelets, sweet or savory crepes, and more. She ordered the savory crepes with steak, peppers, and onions with a side of salad. It was huge! I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap with fries. Aside from the menu make sure to look for specials on the walls. The space inside is a little small but they also have outdoor seating and plenty of parking in the plaza. Their waffles and pancakes are tastey, they have great texture, and either is just a good choice if you are in the mood for either. I prefer my French toast to be made with thick Texas toast slices, the French toast were great tasting, my only critique is the type of bread they use. I wanted to take my daughter somewhere for breakfast, but I was feeling very uneasy about it. In my mind, I could picture how the story would unfold. You start with a 45-minute wait, the walk into a loud place, kids crying in every corner, the place filled beyond capacity, seat at a table barely clean, looking at menus that are stuck to the table, wait another 45 minutes before someone acknowledges your existence, the server coming with a pen behind the ear but struggling to find something in the pockets to write with, eventually resorting to memory and consequently getting the order wrong. Yeap, not a pretty sight. So I decided to put one of my favorite places to a test. Killian Cafe and grill is one of my hidden gems, but I have never gone there during the busy hours. Shockingly things went pretty well. Yes, they were busy, but they had enough help that there was no wait, and even though every table was taken, there was no long delay to get service or food. What a concept! Don't be understaffed. Prepare for the busy time of the day. I am not sure if that is even legal in Florida. And so the service was good and so was the food, and everything was done in reasonable time with reasonable prices. My daughter loves their shakes, by the way. But if you want to truly appreciate Killian Cafe, go there late afternoon, take your favorite book, sit in the patio, order a café con leche, with a sandwich to snack on, or maybe something sweet, listen to the traffic going by, feel the breeze in the shade and enjoy you book. read more

I've driven by this spot many times and it's always full. Been wanting to see what the fuss was about but haven't had the chance. My hubby wanted pancakes and found this was the only none Denny's or ihop spot around with pancakes so I finally got the chance to try it. It did not disappoint! I had a croissant sandwich with grits (sandwich was fluffy, filling, buttery, very good. Grits, tasteless), he had the breakfast slam with chocolate chip pancakes which he loved. Just what he wanted. We also ordered hot chocolates (for the one day it was cold in Miami). Could have been mixed a little better as most of the chocolate was at the bottom but it was still satisfying. Order inside and take a seat, order inside and take it to go, or just take a seat and they will come to you. My favorite part of it it all, the live one man band playing covers of all kinds of music. Marc Anthony, Bruno Mars, Celine Dion, adel. It was perfect. Gave me "a day at a cafe in New York City" kind of vibe. My 4 stars for two reasons. One, the grits where tasteless and our server.. our server was very very new. Found this gem while in Miami for a work trip. Service is quick and friendly and the food is excellent. Portions are huge and the bacon had a nice little sweet flavor. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because when I checked over the bill, we were charged for 2 coffees but only had one and there was a $7.99 charge that we didn't know what it was for! We pointed out the coffee mistake and our waitress fixed it right away. We then asked about the $7.99 charge- she apologized but offered no explanation as to what it was! We were almost overcharged by $10! I really hope this isn't a common occurrence but make sure to check your bill! read more
