I caught lice from a student at school and was panicking not knowing what to do or how to get rid of them. I had purchased an at home kit and combed out a bunch of eggs and was worried there were some still in my hair, so I went to the Fairy Lice Mothers the next day. I did not have an appointment, but the ladies were so kind and fit me in early before their first appointment. I was willing to pay anything just to have peace of mind, but when the ladies noticed that there were not many eggs left they told me that I should be able to take care of them at home. They gave me directions on what to do and I scheduled another head check for the following week. When I came back the next week, there were no more signs of lice! Oh my gosh, best customer service I have experienced in years! One of the kids I teach had lice and I had the "sympathy itches" according to one of the fairies. I love these ladies. They really are magical. Lice are really hard to get rid of, and some things are worth outsourcing. I don't even attempt to deal with my own hair or my daughter's hair. I thought I cleared my boys of bugs and nits, but took them in just to be sure, and couldn't believe what I missed. Unless you get rid of the nits, you won't get rid of the problem. I wish more people understood this and would get their lice properly treated by these kind, efficient experts. I'm sure my kids' friends keep passing it back and forth because people think if they put stuff on that kills the bugs, the problem is gone. But you have to get rid of the nits or the problem will just repeat itself! In the end, you'll end up spending on supplies what you'd spend going to FLM. This company backs up their work, makes it super easy to get in for an appointment, and talks you through what to do while you're waiting to come in. They are super nice, a great educational resource, and it's great knowing I have supplies on hand in case this comes up again. We love the preventative spray and shampoo especially, and I like having scent choices. read more

We had our first lice incident with our daughter. Because we discovered this over the winter holidays, it had spread from our daughter to everyone in the family. Getting lice is traumatic; treating lice (and getting rid of it!!), doesn't have to be. By the time we figured out that our daughter had lice, it was a pretty bad infestation. Her mom and I both had it as well. My brother had used the FLM earlier and recommended them highly, so they were our first call when I finally spotted the reason my daughter kept scratching her head. You feel gross, dirty, and unclean, even ashamed, but when you call the FLM, that feeling goes away. I called at 12:30pm and was offered a 1:30pm appt, which I couldn't take, and they took us at 4:30pm. Little did I know that the initial treatment was so thorough that it can take up to 3 hours to complete, but they fit us in and took care of our entire family that very day and we left knowing that we were lice free and had a plan to ensure we stayed that way. Each of the staff was so kind, humorous and friendly that we actually enjoyed going there for our check ups! If you find yourself needing treatment, I cannot recommend the Fairy Lice Mothers highly enough. They are worth every penny! read more

Great place! Can't say enough good things about it! It's expensive but at least the lice is treated properly. So many people don't treat properly and the lice returns. Getting lice is so stressful. I was super frustrated with ineffective home treatment by the time I got to Fairy Lice Mothers. They were so nice and knew exactly what to do. They did an excellent job on the initial treatment (on my girls with really long tangly hair). They calmed me down and provided lots of education on how to handle the situation. A bit expensive, but totally, absolutely worth it. Would definitely go back if we get lice again (hopefully never). They also offer products for home treatment that are much, much better than what you get at the grocery store. Non-toxic and effective. And they do lice checks -- very helpful. Love them. The Fairy Licemothers made a horrific experience so much less stressful! First of all, they called in two fairies for my family of four on a Sunday, after I emailed them on Saturday night-- such service! Second, the place is adorable, and very kid friendly. They have all the snacks kids love, as well as Netflix to distract them from the combing. The staff was so professional and knowledgeable-- not only did they make my kids feel comfortable by being very matter of fact and friendly, they helped me understand what to do next, how to clean the house, how to prevent reinfestation, etc. My kids love the products they gave us--they smell great! Finally, they checked my husband for free, and put my hair in a lovely French braid after checking me. I would not hesitate to recommend The Fairy LiceMothers to any of my friends and family. I can't say enough great things about Fairy Lice Mothers. My daughter got lice and then of course so did I. Being a single mom I couldn't imagine dealing with lice again. My daughter had lice 3 years ago and it was a nightmare. The only other company available at that time didn't get great reviews so I did it ALL alone and it seemed to last for a month+. Stacey from Fairy Lice Mothers came to our school to speak last year so as soon as I realized my daughter had lice, 6pm the night before my daughters 5th grade graduation, I knew who to call. Michelle had us come right in and took a very stressful situation out of my hands and made me feel totally at ease. I know they stayed beyond their regular hours to treat us. Best surprise, I was able to use my health flexible spending account. My daughter was able to attend her graduation lice free and we were all clear after 1 treatment and some home guidance from Stacey. We went in for our second recheck on Monday even though I knew we were good, guess I wanted the official all clear from a professional. This was one of the single best service experiences I have encountered. By the time we found out that our daughter had picked up lice, we all had it. It was our first time and encountered a lot of terrible advice on the internet. We did the right thing and called Stacey the next morning. She returned the message within 10 minutes and set us up with an appointment the same day. She said we should have called that night (even at 9pm) so that she could have talked us down a bit. We had to bring our 2-month old baby with us, and Stacey even cleared her calendar for us, so my wife could breastfeed comfortably. My 2.5 year old daughter loved the attention and was even excited to go back for the two follow-up visits (being able to watch Daniel Tiger through the whole thing certainly helped). Super curly hair? Not a problem. Extra help was called in. After the first treatment, Stacey made sure we were set up with the product and training to handle the rest of the week at home. Honestly, it's not inexpensive, but if you have not dealt with lice before, WORTH EVERY PENNY. Stacy knows what she is doing and is very thorough. Plus, she gave me a receipt that I can file with my insurance. It was a lot like a boot camp. Now that we have been through it, we can handle the next one on our own. read more
